The flavor didn't really hit until the end of your bite but it was the perfect amount. Not too overpowering, subtle, but notable. Not too sweet, not too soggy. Based off this alone I plan on making a trip up there myself to see what else they have to offer. He also grabbed me a matcha latte which was ok! It was not as thick/creamy as I like but a decent latte if you're not a matcha snob like me haha. I visited Ginger's Sweets for their Bob's Burgers-inspired event, and it was such a fun concept! They had several themed drinks and treats, along with their regular menu items. For the Bob's Burgers-inspired items, I tried the Hugo's Cheddar Hot Dog Croissant, which was definitely my favorite. It was a hot dog with cheese inside a croissant, and the flavor was really good. My only complaint is that everything was served room temperature. I really wish they had warmed it up because I honestly think it would have taken it to another level. A warm, flaky croissant with the melted cheese and hot dog would have been amazing. I also tried the Dutch Baby Cruffin. It was a cruffin with a filling inside (I'm guessing something like vanilla), but the flavor wasn't very strong to me. It wasn't bad it gave what it was supposed to give but it wasn't my favorite. Again, I think warming it up would have made a difference. For non-Bob's Burgers items, I tried the banana pudding cookie, and the dill pickle focaccia. The banana pudding cookie was good and tasted like banana pudding should. The dill focaccia wasn't really my favorite. It wasn't something I would go back specifically for, but I do think it could have been better heated up instead of being served cold/room temperature. For drinks, I tried the Marshmallow Blueberry Latte, which had house-made blueberry and marshmallow syrup, espresso, milk of choice, vanilla bean cold foam, and glitter. My sister tried the Gene's Chunky Blastoff Latte, which she described as tasting like chocolate milk mixed with coffee. Now, my latte was interesting. Personally, I did not love the blueberry flavor, but that is completely based on my own taste preferences. However, I will say the drink itself was actually a GOOD latte. The flavor was there. This is something I struggle with at a lot of coffee shops--places will advertise flavors like blueberry pie, cookies and cream, etc., and the drink just tastes like bitter coffee with milk and sugar. That was not the case here. You could actually taste the blueberry. I just personally didn't love that flavor combination. Someone who loves blueberry would probably really enjoy it. I would definitely come back and try another latte because I have confidence that they know how to make flavorful coffee. The shop itself was cute, clean, and had nice decor. There was enough seating, although it was busy when we went on a Saturday morning around 10 AM (not sure if that is typical or if it was because of the themed treats). There wasn't a line, but there were a lot of people inside, and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Since they opened at 7 AM, some of the Bob's Burgers items were already sold out, so if you're coming for a special event, I would recommend going early. Overall, I think Ginger's Sweets makes good desserts and good coffee. I also like that they do themed events beyond just Bob's Burgers, like their upcoming Twilight-inspired event. It's a cute place to visit if you enjoy creative treats, themed events, and fun coffee drinks. I would definitely return to try more of their menu! read more

Recently I developed a bad habit of buying things and not taking pictures. Lol While I haven't tried everything, I haven't had a cookie, pastry, croissant sammich or drink here that I haven't enjoyed. Service is always welcoming and efficient. Always take a peek at their Instagram first to see what's on the menu which will make things so much easier when it's time to order. There's also a few chairs and tables if you want to sip on your matcha or coffee while eating your delicious danish. I must say, now that I've gone a few times I can give an honest review....I am LOVING this place. Everything is freshly baked, the assortment is amazing, and everyone who works there has been kind and helpful. I've been going almost every weekend now. They make amazing drinks, and I love how they rotate their menus. You can always find someone new and delicious. It's so comfortable inside, and I love how they've decorated and made it a comfy place to enjoy your treats. I absolutely recommend this place. Good place to go for an early latte and pastry with a friend or 2. Get there early for a good seat! Lol. Cute little hidden gem of a bakery.. we tried out Ginger Sweets this morning. We were greeted by the friendly staff as soon as we walked in. Very cute, eclectic coffee shop. There was a great selection of pastries, as well as a unique coffee menu with additional Summer Specials! Not just your typical straight forward, plain coffees. We tried the pecan walnut coffee cake and Nutter Butter Stuffed Croissant, as well as the Caramel Cloud and Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie Lattes. The pastries were a little denser than expected and it took a little time for the staff to find us some utensils, but everything was delicious! We will be back! read more

Stopped by this café recently and was happy to see the space filled again after Sharetea closed down (rip). The storefront is a bit easy to miss since there's no big sign out front, just a window decal, but once inside it's a really cute space. I loved the interior design, especially the painted mural, which gives the shop a lot of character! They offer some very creative, Instagram-worthy specialty drinks. I ordered the Fiona Far Far Away matcha latte, which came with coconut syrup topped with vanilla cold foam and toasted coconut. The cold foam and coconut on top were tasty, though I wish I had asked for a bit more coconut syrup since I felt the coconut flavor didn't come through much in the drink itself. The matcha also wasn't mixed well at all and had a lot of clumps, which made parts of it quite bitter. That said, as someone who enjoys matcha, the drink overall was okay and I didn't mind the bitterness too much. I didn't get a chance to try any pastries since it was about half an hour before closing and the selection was limited, but I'd love to come back and try their usual offerings! There are a few small tables and bar seats available if you want to sit and enjoy your drink. Overall, a cool new café with a lot of potential. I'd definitely come back to try more items and see what new specialties they put out next! read more

We had to stop in to try a new bakery and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We purchased 3 different sweet treats (my husband tasted each and had zero complaints!) I had the punk mallow iced latte and it was very good and the heart straws are a sweet touch. The atmosphere inside was great and the hospitality was amazing. I came across Ginger's macaroons and other baked goodies back in 2021. I was hooked. I followed her since then. Today 9/20 she opened the doors to her bakery! Her items were worth the one hour drive. She takes pride in how all her items look. Appearance is everything, and taste is not lacking. I've always said that baked goods can look cute but they have to also taste good. She nails it everytime! The aesthetic is wonderful. I'd say a cross from alternative music lover with an edge. Hues of pink and black through out. Cute signage and a stunning mirror. Absolutely love this place. I've only been two times, but it was outstanding both times. They have the cutest drinks and sweets. I got the Pinkmas tree latte this time and it came with its own cute, homemade, Christmas tree cake. Hubby got two double espressos. So four shots for him. I also got a Christmas tree cake macaron and a salted chocolate chip cookie. Everything is amazing and the drinks always come with the cutest pink straws. Ahh the beauty of Yelp events! I was introduced to Bailey's fantastic macarons through a yelp event and I was delighted that I did! One bite and I was hooked! I naturally love macarons anyway, but Ginger Sweets hit a home run in my books. You know how your brain creates a vivid memory if something is extremely good or extremely bad? Let's just say that a memory from a particular macaron place around 8 years ago that had me first hooked and reigned number one as the BEST in my eyes, was immediately dethroned when I sampled Ginger Sweets macarons. Bailey's macarons are THAT good! I quickly looked up her Instagram account from the attached business card to see more products. Unbeknownst to me, I came across a beautiful vision of what is known as a macaron cake. I'm talking about a giant sized 6 inch macaron shell consisting of four of them in total stacked on top of each other with buttercream layers in between. Not a cake with macarons on it. But a macaron in its purest form magnified in size. I had to have one! The ordering process was easy and Bailey was quick to respond to order requests via her link to her website on her Instagram page. A big thank you to my sister for the cake! Bailey was able to customize and curate a gorgeous teal and gold flecked cookie butter macaron cake based on my specifications and pictures uploaded. I was beyond thrilled when my sister presented me with the macaron cake!! The cake definitely was not cheap, but how it turned out and tasted exceeded my expectations! Making the price well worth it! From start to finish, Bailey was on top of things and demonstrated excellent communication with clarifications and follow up. This has to be one of the best birthday cakes I ever had. It turned out really beautiful and delicious! The macaron was slightly crispy on the outside and a soft chewy consistency on the inside. The cookie butter was so creamy and smooth. My sister said I'm a picky person, but I prefer particular. Haha, I know what I like and Bailey more than exceeded my expectations! These macaroons are the best I have ever had. They are crisp but soft on the inside and you can tell Bailey makes everything from scratch. Not to mention the filling of the macaroons are so fluffy and they are packed with flavor. You can easily freeze them so I usually buy a few packs at a time and keep them around for later, hehe.
