I stopped by this new full service bakery today. They have a wide variety of baked goods available for just about every taste. The staff is friendly and this place has a wonderful vibe that is palpable.

I came across Ginger's macaroons and other baked goodies back in 2021. I was hooked. I followed her since then. Today 9/20 she opened the doors to her bakery! Her items were worth the one hour drive. She takes pride in how all her items look. Appearance is everything, and taste is not lacking. I've always said that baked goods can look cute but they have to also taste good. She nails it everytime! The aesthetic is wonderful. I'd say a cross from alternative music lover with an edge. Hues of pink and black through out. Cute signage and a stunning mirror. She truly put a lot of hard work into her passion and store and it shows. Ginger and her staff on opening day we the sweetest and hustling to get out all orders! The coffee is the perfect addition to any baked good! I know I'll be return! Congratulations!

I needed a sweet treat so I stopped by Ginger Sweets Pastry Cafe. I was greeted with a friendly hello. All the treats looked and smelled delicious. I ordered a chai oatmeal cream pie and a sugar free caramel cloud ice drink. The service was excellent. It is a great space to chat with friends and enjoy some sweet treats.

Absolutely love this place. I've only been two times, but it was outstanding both times. They have the cutest drinks and sweets. I got the Pinkmas tree latte this time and it came with its own cute, homemade, Christmas tree cake. Hubby got two double espressos. So four shots for him. I also got a Christmas tree cake macaron and a salted chocolate chip cookie. Everything is amazing and the drinks always come with the cutest pink straws. The shop doesn't have a sign out front yet, so it is hard to find. It's so cutely decorated inside with pink and black everywhere and the service is always exceptional. You have to get here early, otherwise they will sell out!

This is the cutest coffee shop I've visited in a while. It was decked out for the holidays and had festive music playing in the background. The staff was friendly and energetic and the coffee was great. I had to go with the salted chocolate chip cookie latte and was not disappointed. It tasted exactly like a chocolate chip cookie. I got a peppermint hot chocolate cookie sandwich for my husband and he said it was divine. I appreciate the festive pastry options they had and can't wait to go back to try more!

The place was well decorated and had unique art work! The pastries were laid out in the front window neatly and everything looked delicious! The specialty latte was great but was almost $10. The biscoff cookie was amazing and tasted super fresh. The apple galette tasted comforting and is perfect for fall. Can't wait to try more sweets. The service was super friendly and quick. They also have punch cards where the tenth drink is free!

Coconut marshmallow latte with vanilla cold foam is my favorite. Cherry chip cookie with gold maraschino cherry on top. Espresso cocoa and cream cookie. Reeses stuffed peanut butter cookies. I hope I got all the names right. Everything is always fresh and so delicious. Menu changes daily so there's always something new and delicious to try.

How exciting is it that I get to update this review for the Ginger Sweets pastry cafe!!!! So it's obvious that I'm a fan of Bailey's and have been for awhile. I was so excited to go in and support her newest venture! First off, I love the girly pop punk meets romantasy vibe of the shop- such a fun niche. Secondly, I loved all the choices! I knew I loved her macarons, but it was fun to try all the other baked goods she had brought to the cafe, including an amazing chai cinnamon bun and the absolutely perfect chocolate chip cookie. Lastly, everyone working there seemed to be having a great time, even though they were serving a line out the door! It's great to see people who truly love what they do. I am so excited to see what is possible with this amazing shop! Also: HEART STRAW

I seen this cute shop on TikTok and new i had to try! It is decorated super cute with fresh bakery items available. I got the sugar cookie and cinnamon roll! The winner is the frosting on the roll for sure. It is spectacular. The drinks are super yummy. The woman who helped was very kind and patient. I would definitely come here again but as a treat :)

I've been wanting to stop by this cafe for a while because all my friends were raving about it. I got a matcha and it was okay. I wasn't impressed by it and I think its overhyped. The staff were nice, but there was only one girl working the register and making the drinks as well, so the service was a little bit slow. I think the interior is very cute and clean.

This is the coolest bakery! Such a awesome vibe. I love the alternative/rocker decor and how well the theme carries through into the food, which is also super fun and seasonal. Everything we tried was delicious!

The food and coffee are AMAZING! Bailey and the rest of the staff provided a warm and welcoming environment while offering some of the best baked goods I have had; the variety was impressive as well. I would highly recommend this place and will be back often!

My birthday cake was gorgeous I loved it.

The shop is small and cozy with no indoor seating, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and incredible sweets. The bakery case was absolutely stunning -- full of beautifully made cookies, macarons, and more. We tried three macarons (espresso, almond, and salted caramel), and every single one was perfection -- fresh, flavorful, and just the right size and sweetness. We also grabbed a shortbread cookie, which was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And let's not forget our pup! Lexi got a pumpkin cupcake with peanut butter icing, topped with a tiny bone-shaped treat -- not only adorable, but she devoured it. Definitely pup-approved! The staff was fantastic -- super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can tell they care about their craft and their customers. Whether you're doing the Passport Tour or just looking for a place to grab something sweet, House of Marmalade is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back!

Once I walked in I felt like I was in someone's home from a time long in the past. As a tall woman I had to watch my head in the doorways as I made my way to the register. They have so many drink options and many baked goods to choose from. I ordered my standard vanilla latte with almond milk and waited for my friend to arrive. Once she came in she immediately told me there was another sitting area towards the back of the building. I thought they only had a small dining room in the entryway. I recommend going further in to enjoy more privacy for your visit. She got an almond croissant and I got a strawberry tart. The workers are super bright and upbeat too. It's an atmosphere that is warm and inviting. Just delicious and a wonderful afternoon stop.

We were able to use the back room in the cafe that had a large table and provided a cozy setting with lots of natural light coming through the windows and cute macaroon-shaped pillows on the chairs. We had hibiscus tea and peach tea for the table to share. The peach tea was everyone's favorite, it didn't even need any added sugar. It was served in cute pastel teapots, though one of the teapots had a chip at the spout which made me a little nervous. We also had macaroons made in-house for the table. I can't remember if I asked the staff if any of the macaroons were dairy free, but I asked my friends at the table and was told there was dairy in them. I later asked the staff if there was any food they offered that was dairy-free and they showed me their pastry counter but ultimately determined that everything offered had dairy, so all I had while at the café was the tea. The ladies I was with loved the macaroons. I wish I could have had some. I recommend at least 1-2 food options be added in the café for folks who have a dairy allergy. Café Genevieve provides a nice atmosphere for tea with a unique setting -- in a 1734 house that is decked out with Parisian decor. It's not the most private setting -- it got pretty noisy during our time there and there were a few interruptions to our conversation. We should have asked if we could have closed the door, because that definitely would have helped with noise and privacy. Overall, the customer service was great and the tea was really good! If you want to meet here for a private event, conversation, or just want some peace and quiet, that back room with the door closed could provide it. It's a nice café to check out.

I came here early on a Friday morning to grab some pastries that I've heard so much about!…read more The girl behind the counter was incredibly friendly and I told her it was my first time in so she gave me the run down of how everything worked in terms of special items, etc. I landed on 2 chocolate croissants, 1 blueberry brioche danish, 1 butter croissant, a banana puff pastry (weekly special), and an orange and cranberry scone. I will say I came in specifically for the chocolate croissant. While it was very good, it was still slightly dry. The scone, butter croissant and the bananas foster puff pastry were phenomenal. The blueberry brioche danish missed the mark. It was far too dense. I walked away with a London fog as well which was delicious! Will return for sure, but it's a bit out of the way, so I hope they put a location in Chesapeake!

Wednesday 8/14/2024…read more I first visited this spot last year in July to get the cinnamon rolls but by the time I arrrived they were all sold out. This time I made sure to get up early so I could finally try it. The service was kind and helpful. I got the cinnamon bun $5 and the choclate crinkle $2.95. - The cinnamon bun was pretty good: it was soft and the ingredients were balanced well. I did expect it to be a bit bigger based on price tag and previous yelp photos I had seen but I'd say it's still worth it. - The chocolate crinkle was recommended by the worker so I got it and it ended up being alright but I've had many better. All in all, my experience at mays parlor was solid and I would definitely recommend that cinnamon bun if you are ever in the mood for one.
