If you love burritos, you need to track down The Coop food truck. Hands down my favorite food truck in Virginia Beach! I stopped by during their pop up at Farmhouse Brewery and, once again, they did not disappoint. One thing you need to know: their burritos are massive. We're talking "the size of your head" big, so come hungry or be ready for some epic leftovers. The menu is small and focused (usually around four burrito choices), but every single one is packed with quality ingredients and flavor. The Coop spends most days serving on base, but keep an eye out for their local pop-ups. They're always worth chasing down. This time around, I ordered the Pepper Jack Chicken Burrito which was grilled chicken breast, maple bacon, melty pepper jack cheese, and their signature Coop Sauce, all bundled up in a warm tortilla. Every bite was the perfect balance of hearty, savory, spicy, and just a hint sweet from the bacon. Their Coop sauce is one of a kind. Tangy, and delicious. I'm sure adding an egg would take it to the next level (that's an option on all burritos). My friends had the Breakfast Burrito! This one comes with fluffy scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, juicy sausage, more of that craveable maple bacon, herby potatoes, and (of course) the signature Coop Sauce. They raved about every bite. I appreciate that The Coop keeps things simple with their streamlined menu and focus on top-notch burritos. Whenever I see them around town, I make it a point to stop ... even if there's a line, it moves fast and is absolutely worth the wait. Whether you're looking for a new lunch favorite or just crave seriously great street food, The Coop is a true gem on the Virginia Beach food truck scene. Can't wait to catch them at their next pop-up! read more

This I the best damn burrito you will ever have in your life--period. I mean they are MASSIVE and super fresh. The ladies running the truck are super nice too! The coop is a local gem I would recommend to anyone and everyone. read more

Best breakfast burritos in Hampton Roads. The coop sauce is incredible, the tortillas are perfectly chewy while also nicely crisped. I tried their original breakfast burrito and their Fall Special burrito. Both were great. I personally liked the original better, but enjoyed each bite of both. There are multiple food trucks, in many locations daily. I went to the one on Little Creek base which is in the parking lot in the corner of Gator & Independence. Pay close attention to their website, because locations change. They often frequent markets and events, which is also posted on their website. Be prepared about this: when they sell out, the truck closes and it's pretty hard to figure out if this has happened. I recommend coming on the early side to be on the safe side. Overall, loved our visit and customer service was great! read more

The Coop Food truck was amazing! I scheduled this for 50 employees. Everyone absolutely loved the burritos. If we had a problem, it would be the burritos are too big and now the staff wants a nap instead of working. :) They served 50 people in less than an hour, very professional and made this an easy event for us. We will definitely use The Coop food truck again without a doubt! read more

I've had the opportunity to try out their breakfast burritos twice now at commonwealth brewery and they are delicious. For once people are not lying about the craze. I highly recommend getting one when you get a chance and add some yummy hot sauce. My sister tried one of their chicken burritos and those look bomb as well. My review system goes like this: * 3 stars is somewhere I wouldn't turn down, but wouldn't choose of my own accord. * 4 or 2 stars is somewhere that I either really enjoyed or really disliked, and I would recommend for or against it if asked. * 5 or 1 stars means that a place is so outstanding (or awful) that I am telling people about it before they even ask. Y'all, I am shouting the virtues of The Coop from every hilltop I can find! Their Breakfast Burritos (saucy, overstuffed, and full of eggy, sausagey goodness) are consistently the best thing you have ever eaten before 9am. Today, I branched out to have their Breakfast Bowl. Chicken, eggs, jalapeños, guac, sauce, all on a bed of greens (a nice touch, but probably more to keep the box from leaking or falling apart). Please, I ask of you: Go try The Coop, and then find the closest hilltop, because you're gonna have some shouting to do! read more

The Coop - Breakfast Bowl with Coop Sauce and hot sauce... total deliciousness! - Food Trucks Near Me

This burrito truck is legit! They have a great selection on the menu and also have specials if you ask. It's a slightly pricey for a burrito, about $12, but with the way prices are these days it's a good deal. Plus the staff are very friendly and willing to please, so supporting this small business is a no brained. I'll eat here as many times as I can, or my waistband allows :-p read more

Oh wow- this was so freakin good. I have seen The Coop out and about, but the breakfast sandwich angle wasn't really attracting me to even check out their menu. Then I saw them again last week at the ADP Corporate 5K- I was absolutely starving, and I knew they had big portions so I headed straight to them. First- it's not just breakfast sandwiches/wraps/burritos. They have more lunch-y style burritos too. I opted for the "basil chicken and mozzarella burrito." It was just delicious! Seriously. First bite I got some of that amazing mozzarella and it was just more amazing flavors from there. I'll have a hard time trying something else next time I see them on a food truck line up. Service was friendly and fast. The pricing was pretty standard for food trucks in the area. I also got two meals out of it. read more

The burrito was amazing. Had the Green Chili Chicken breakfast burrito. Can't wait to go and try the other ones!

This was my second time with the coop. My first was at the farmhouse brewery with cool crisp draft (you just cannot go wrong with that lol). And we ordered bunch of wraps for work lunch of course minus beer . My habanero egg bacon wrap was excellent with a nice amount of spices. It was a giant wrap as it always is but I managed to eat them all in one sitting then I wasn't able to avoid the food coma soon after lol. They call them burrito but I think they should call it 'wrap'. Just my opinion. As you can imagine, I will definitely indulge the coop any chance I get. read more

The burritos are very tasty. Made to order and you can tell its fresh. It's a nice alternative to the co-op food at the yard. It's a bit pricey compared to chipotle but overall it's a tasty meal. My go to burritos are the breakfast burrito and the chicken, bacon, and pepper jack burrito. They have a good amount of options for breakfast and lunch so coming up with a decision shouldn't be difficult. read more

I haven't done any food trucks in a while before today, however, at work today I didn't bring lunch so I decided to check this food truck out. Now, I'll start out saying that if you're chicken to try this place out, don't fly the coop on this one. Based on this experience, I would continue to support them. For lunch, I ordered the chicken bacon pepper jack burrito. The burrito also comes with lettuce, tomato , and onions with their coop sauce. By far, this was one of the largest portions that I have gotten from the food trucks I've visited. After getting the burrito, I went back inside to eat. The burrito was filled with bacon and chicken. I was worried at first that it might have been filled in with the veggies, which was not the case. The burrito was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. It was better than what I've had at other brick and mortar places. Although I didn't do it, you can also get chips and drinks as well. I have a few notes about this food truck. All prices are inclusive of taxes, so the amount on the board is the amount you pay (either by cash or credit). Even at lunch, their menu has breakfast items available as well. They have a fairly extensive menu for a food truck. If this food truck is in your area, don't fly the coop. Come to the coop to get some great food from great people. read more

Best food truck EVER! I love the food and the crew running the trucks. Always hot, always ready!

Hit up the COOP for morning chorizo burrito. This thing was Amazing. The special COOP sauce made the difference. The previous debacle is all forgiven and water under the Jordan bridge. The lines are always long which is an indicator of their excellence. If you are on the yard you gotta hit up THE COOP. read more

The Coop - Amazing burritos - Food Trucks Near Me

This food truck is so unprofessional and waste of gas and time. I looked on their website before heading in route to them. On their website it states hours and location. However, they have no telephone number listed. After driving 28min to them on the military base the base said they left out and no longer there and to drive around town looking for them. Per the coop website it states they open at 6:45am and the base said they left at 8:30am. They don't have a closing time listed. They only have email to contact them by therefore, I just wasted my time driving around a goose egg hunt following their Scooby-Doo mystery clues trying to find this food truck. And informed to keep the hunt going like gas is cheap by driving in unknown locations looking for them. Unbelievable read more

The Coop is a welcome addition to the culinary wasteland that is Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Hot, fresh breakfast and lunch burritos for a reasonable price - $7-8 for a Chipotle-sized burrito. So far I've enjoyed the Chorizo Breakfast burrito and the BBQ chicken burrito. Both were fantastic with bold flavors, and unlike many wrap/burrito places which load up on fillers both burritos at the Coop were packed with meat. read more

Had the pepper jack chicken burrito and it BLEW MY FRIGGIN MIND. Unreal deliciousness.

Beyond amazing, the steak and egg burrito with extra sauce is an out if this world experience, but it's all great food! Only complaint I have is sometimes it is difficult finding the truck, they have started posting on Facebook where they are but wish it was more frequent and consistent. But the food, service, and quality is above par, would give them more than five stars if I could. read more

I just had one of the tastiest burritos ever!! This will be a food truck that I will walk through the rain in order to get some of this deliciousness. I was a little skeptical in trying them because I assumed that like most burritos at food trucks it was going to be an average burrito that I could have gotten anywhere. But this one was awesome. I had a chicken with pepper jack, maple bacon and onions. All this yumminess was wrapped in a lightly toasted tortilla that topped it off almost perfectly. I will try the steak burrito next and if time permits the breakfast burritos as well. If you see them, do yourself a favor and try them out. read more

exceptional food and wonderful service!! food is outstanding and too much to eat in one setting.
