Smoked shredded brisket and Gouda Mac and cheese.

Soooo good!! Very friendly people, and fast service. If I see them anywhere I know I'm going and getting good food!

I've had cups up twice now and I tried a new item each time. The first time I had their stuffed Turkey leg with macaroni and bang bang shrimp. It was pretty flavorful !!! This recent time I had their lemon pepper lamb chops, collard greens and macaroni. The lamb chops were a 10/10, greens & Mac 8. The service is pretty good as well.

Bang, Bang Shrimp, mac & cheese and collards. It's very tasty and filling.

The truck came to Foxfield Meadows and we really enjoyed it. They are welcomed back.

Lamb chops, mac and greens $23

Bro's Fish Tacos - Chips & Guac

Bro's Fish Tacos

This was my first time at this restaurant, but I had heard a lot of good reviews from my coworkers…read morewho've been here before. When I walked in I was greeted by an employee there, Adam. I had 3 people in front of me in line and it didn't take long at all for me to reach the register and place my order. I wasn't that hungry but wanted to try the food out, so I got a Truth flounder taco for $4.95. The food was made quickly and tasted good! Bro's Fish Tacos has about six signature sauces which looked good, but unfortunately, they all have dairy in them, so I asked for the mayo based tartar sauce instead. While all the signature sauces have dairy in them, I appreciated that they stated that fact on their menu beside where their sauces were listed. I wish I had come about an hour later in the day because, after ordering, I learned that they have a happy hour from 3 to 5:30 each day where The Truth Taco is $3.50 and other dishes are cheaper as well. Some street fries were ordered for the table, and I had fished out about 5 fries without the sauce (because I figured there was a dairy sauce and cheese on top) and the fries were really tasty as well! The atmosphere inside is very fun and bright with huge glass garage door windows letting light in and colorful paintings of animals on the walls. If you have sensitivity to noise, know that they keep the music volume pretty low, but since the restaurant is right on the boulevard and has large glass windows, you're likely going to hear some noisy cars drive by. Overall, I had a good experience and would come here again, especially on a Tuesday, Sunday or after 3pm since that's when they have the best deals (which I appreciate)!

The cashier even brought my order to my car because I wasn't aware it was finished!! That was super nice. I got the fried fish bowl. I added cabbage, beans, sauce, and sour cream. The bowl was pretty good, it was just more toppings than meat. I guess next time I'll pay for extra meat. Other than that I enjoyed the food. The fries were good also. They're like battered fries and pretty tasty. They were hot and fresh!! They have fried fish, beef, tuna, shrimp, and other taco bowls. Or you can get it as a taco. Also fries, churro donuts, and more. Check them out!!

Chef Skip 757 is an order-to-go spot where you can see the entire food prep area as soon as you…read morewalk in. Unfortunately, that visibility only highlighted several concerning hygiene practices. One cook had extremely long locs that hung past his waist and wasn't wearing a hair net, while the other staff member was properly covered with gloves, apron, and a hair net. Even so, no one washed their hands after moving between tasks--handling raw items, pulling food from the fryer, and even touching the register. The most alarming moment was when a customer walked in from outside, went straight behind the counter, began talking loudly near the food, and was never asked to wash her hands, put on gloves, or step away. This was extremely unsanitary and should never happen in any food establishment. As for the environment, the floors and counters didn't look clean, and the setup leaves customers watching every misstep with no separation between prep and front area. Definitely some health department red flags. On a positive note, the food itself was cooked well--I ordered fish and fries, and the other item was a fish sandwich. Prices were reasonable, but overall the sanitation issues overshadowed everything. This is not a place I plan to revisit.

I got the chicken Philly $11 and the crab cake shrimp fish plate $24. - The chicken Philly was decent and the bread was nice and soft. Also the fries were pretty decent as well. - The crab cake shrimp fish plate was solid and if I was ranking the seafood I'd say: crab cake first, then shrimp, and fish. Overall, this was a solid food experience with decent food and good portions but nothing crazy or really impressive to me.

The Coop - Breakfast Burrito

If you love burritos, you need to track down The Coop food truck. Hands down my favorite food truck…read morein Virginia Beach! I stopped by during their pop up at Farmhouse Brewery and, once again, they did not disappoint. One thing you need to know: their burritos are massive. We're talking "the size of your head" big, so come hungry or be ready for some epic leftovers. The menu is small and focused (usually around four burrito choices), but every single one is packed with quality ingredients and flavor. The Coop spends most days serving on base, but keep an eye out for their local pop-ups. They're always worth chasing down. This time around, I ordered the Pepper Jack Chicken Burrito which was grilled chicken breast, maple bacon, melty pepper jack cheese, and their signature Coop Sauce, all bundled up in a warm tortilla. Every bite was the perfect balance of hearty, savory, spicy, and just a hint sweet from the bacon. Their Coop sauce is one of a kind. Tangy, and delicious. I'm sure adding an egg would take it to the next level (that's an option on all burritos). My friends had the Breakfast Burrito! This one comes with fluffy scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, juicy sausage, more of that craveable maple bacon, herby potatoes, and (of course) the signature Coop Sauce. They raved about every bite. I appreciate that The Coop keeps things simple with their streamlined menu and focus on top-notch burritos. Whenever I see them around town, I make it a point to stop ... even if there's a line, it moves fast and is absolutely worth the wait. Whether you're looking for a new lunch favorite or just crave seriously great street food, The Coop is a true gem on the Virginia Beach food truck scene. Can't wait to catch them at their next pop-up!
