When we pointed it out, the employees did something to make the price $17. Virginia food tax should've made the total $14 and some change. I don't need the 3$ but it could've gone toward the tip. And of course it isn't fair to advertise your food for one price and charge two different prices, not even offering the correct price when the customer points out the literal menu price. Came to VA beach for the night and happening near our hotel is a beach event with food trucks. I am a sucker for tacos and had to try. My only gripe is no menu posted with pricing besides some pics on the truck itself. I did however highly enjoy my tacos and love that you can mix and match meats. I got el pastor and steak... both super tasty and love that they don't double shell the taco. I esquites (Mexican corn in a cup) was super good!! Can tell they use fresh corn vs canned. These are some of the best Tacos I've ever had!!! The flavor is incredible and that hot Salsa was actually spicy! The service was awesome and the guy up front was very friendly. I went looking for the Krazy Trampos food truck and it wasn't there, so i called and found out they got an actual restaurant now located on Rosemont next to Wawa and Goodwill. So i went and found them. When i walked in the lady was taking orders, so i waited my turn. The lady at the counter i think she was 1 of the owners. She was very sweet and answered all my questions and we chatted a little. I ordered 3 tacos (2 carne asada and 1 al pastor with pineapple), rice and beans, esquite , and carne asade nachos. Everything cost about $42. I was really excited to taste their food. The tacos are street tacos with onions and cilantro. I tasted the carne asada first, it was very bland unseasoned meat. No flavor at all, but the salsa verde i added made it taste better. The salsa verde is very good and its mild! Mmmm. If you prefer spicy get the red sauce... Hot hot hot!!! The al pastor comes with diced pineapple and it tasted pretty good and had a lil heat to it... I wish I'd ordered 2 of those instead. Lol. The nachos were a small portion to me for $13. Its like it was missing something, but it tasted ok. It had carne asada on it so so again it was kinda flavorless. The toppings are what made the flavor. The pineapple went well with the pork. I did like the esquite but it was mostly mayo, but not enough tajin. So i added some a home and it was way better. I also like that they had raddish and cucumber on the side... I'll probably return to try the carnita and birria tacos, and I'll definitely get salsa verde. If they add some seasoning i think it'll really make the food even better.. These tacos are so dang good, we sought them out twice in 1 week - once @ Farmhouse and this weekend at Big Ugly. Quite literally THE most flavorful bites I have had in the 757 - the carne asada and chicken are so, so tasty. I got the same order on both visits - the taco trio + rice and beans. It's a ridiculous amount of food - enough I could share with my daughter. The cilantro and chopped onion were so fresh and the beans were perfect. The rice was not as flavorful to me, but my daughter begged for it and that's a win. Hubs tried the low-carb queso tacos al pastor with a cheese "tortilla" and raved. Also a huge portion of food. I pass this food truck everyday and I've been wanting to try it for a while. I had very high expectations since I see lines outside and constant activity so I was really excited to see they were at a local brewery called Back Bay's brewery, we went for a chill date night one evening and there were no prices on any of the items advertised which usually is a clear sign it's expensive. We ordered the steak tacos and steak burrito and the burrito was gigantic. It was hot and huge but not a lot of flavor and I was a little disappointed as I was hoping I would love it. We did not get any receipts either, I would've liked to know how much it cost but was not offered one at all. The today came to $27 and there was no chips and dip, no side items or anything. I think I had a little higher expectations and would hesitant to try this place again. Overall it's ok but not amazingly delicious. It will have you feeling full if you order the burrito. read more

Authentic Mexican street food is not only hard to come by but also hard to beat. This food truck holds true to that notion for sure. I thought everything I had was delicious. The carne asada tacos had plenty of veggies and the elote (one of my favorite foods ever!) was smothered in all the good stuff. I only had about a 5 minute drive home to eat, but I guess that was enough to make the corn tortillas soggy. It ripped apart at the first bite, so I had to fork my way through the meal. My lime was dried out, and the strawberries in my strawberries and cream cup still had some green stems and leaves. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even with a line. I was debating between 4 and 5 stars for this one, but overall I think they're an excellent addition to the food truck scene here. I would be escatic to see them at a brewery sometime. I would love to go back and try more of their menu items. I think it's great that they have so many options, especially vegan! read more

I've been wanting to try their food for soooo long.I got Al Pastor tacos. I loved the smell of the tortillas. They smelled so fresh. The meat was a 7/10. I liked the flavor. I'm from Cali so they came pretty close to California tacos. My husband tried their Birria tacos w/o the consume. A bit dry, not really Birria tacos, the flavor was really light. I loved their rice. This is what really disappointed me. I haven't had frescas con crema in forever so I ordered some. I was about to put the strawberry in my mouth when I noticed it looked weird. There was mold growing on the strawberries. I really wished I could try it. But I think that's a huge deal breaker. I don't think we'd go out of our way to try it again. If I end up seeing the truck again I'd probably stop for some al pastor tacos. Also the price for horchata was $5+. I gotta continue to look for a regular taco place! read more

The pollo I thought would be in the drier side but really juicy and flavorful. We tried Krazy trompos for the first at the famous Back Bay brewery. They were there providing dinner options. I have been wanting to try them for quite sometime. Drive by the truck several times and the long line is always a sort of downer. Ordered the steak tacos but looking back on it, I do no think it was actually flank steak but rather pulled beef meat. I am not a fan of pulled beef meat so I was disappointed thinking I was going to get some actual flank steak. The tacos were good but seemed very basic and bland. Seemed like there wasn't much seasoning put on the tacos and the sauce did not make it any better. I am not saying the tacos werent good they were, just think they were a bit over hyped. It is undoubtely expensive for a food truck so be prepared to break a 20 for a meal and that is without sides. I would def try it again in the future to get something else on the menu. My husband and I are from California, I grew up going to Baja Cali/Ensenada as well so when we moved to Virginia, finding a great taco spot was a must. We've tried a couple places but nothing compares to Krazy Trompos. The service is good and it's family owned so it's awesome to support this small business. It was our first time trying so we got quesatacos with consomé which was AMAZING as well as their carne asada nachos. I actually didn't like this restaurant and especially disliked the customer service. As I was waiting in line to order one of the employees was talking to my friends and I, and he told us they had the birria dipping tacos that were getting famous on tik tok. This is not my first time trying Birria tacos but this is my first time trying them at this restaurant. I ordered my food and got something completely different than what I thought I was going to get. I went back up to the food truck to ask them why I didn't get dipping sauce/why my meal looks like this and they told me I should've clarified what I wanted because the first cashier did not know what I meant. They said it was my fault and if I wanted the dipping birria tacos I had to pay 18$ on top of the 16$ I already paid for the messed up order. I tried to enjoy me meal but it just wasn't the same because 1. This wasn't what I asked for and 2. It wasn't good nor was it seasoned well enough. All in all I had a very bad experience here. It was overpriced for the quality and the customer service was not good. My friends did not enjoy their meal either and I just do not see myself coming back here. read more
