Seems like there is a fast food desert in San Francisco which is a good thing. After Wendy's left the city it seems lots of good alternatives to burgers have spawned everywhere from where's the beef ? to regular beef and vegetarian to vegan. Tower Burgers location is a desolate burger spot since you would not find another burger place within more than over a half mile any direction. At Tower Burgers it offers different styles of burgers like the Burger with Brie and mushroom ( Paris). The menu also offers fish and chips with great cuts of cod fish and also prawns and chips. They also offer garlic and regular fries. I decided to get namesake burger "The Tower Burger" with bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, cheddar cheese, and their secret sauce ( I have a hunch about what's in it). On a hot day I will get the Mitchell's Vanilla Milkshake.Good laidback community place to enjoy a meal. Very consistent. Tower Burgers is the place with a bit of everything interwine Get a burger with a beer and wine according to the menu sign

Just had the California burger with fries and it was amazing! Here's a couple photos that I took of the meal. Great service and good food. I highly recommend this place.

I just wanted to give an update and say this place remains awesome. And if you haven't had their milkshakes, they're the best. They use Mitchell's ice cream, locally sourced and San Francisco all the way. Let's keep supporting these good folks.

    Paris burger

Wait time was short and the food was great! I got the Paris burger (blue cheese and mushrooms, friend got the mushroom and Swiss and 3rd guest got the chili and a shakes - which used Mitchell's ice cream. Big burger. Oh the garlic fries? Let's just say, I'll be back!

    Chicken Caesar salad

Still loving their healthy sized Chicken Ceasar Salad, my absolute favorite!! If you're ordering for p/u, make sure to tell them to put the crouton on the top or side because when they put it under all that massive chicken the croutons end up a bit soggy by the time you bring it home. Real friendly staff too.

This is a mom and pop shop in Portola SF. Not many options in the area to eat. Located in its own lil parking lot. Get this.... You have to pay for parking! In a parking lot! In a NOT busy area in SF. So that was wild. I know it's Frisch but the area we were in... didn't think to get charged to park in a small lil parking lot. Igs that's how they maintain the up keep in the area. The girl at front was nice. Gave us our time to look at the menu. We paid. I got a coke she immediately got my coke our fridge as put it in their freezer for me to get it nice and cold the way I like it. I ordered a create my own burger because I'm picky and simple with a side of chilli! My man ordered Town burger with fries. We asked for our burgers to be cooked well done. They came back just well.. a lil pink inside which I was not happy with.. but I still ate it. Didn't want to send it back. The chilli was really good. Tasted homemade. Fries were crispy & hot. They have water in the front self serve. I would try them out if I was in area again.

I'm writing this review as I'm devouring my medium well bacon cheddar burger (w/ extra sauce) and their deliciously crispy, almost toasty fries. Called an order in for takeout on my lunch break, and the woman who answered was very efficient but very friendly. Said it would be ready in 5 minutes and sure enough -- it was. Came inside to pick up my food and was greeted by a nice gentlemen, immediate smile, and just overall genuineness. The place wasn't too packed, but it's 12:30 on a Tuesday in a sleepier part of The City. I could see this place going real big. HANDS DOWN, best burger and fries I've ever had. The bun was buttery, burger cooked nicely (I don't usually like medium but I forgot to ask for well done and I'm so glad I didn't -- SOOOO juicy), bacon was thick and flavorful, and their secret sauce.... HOOOO BOY their secret sauce... it was garlicky, peppery, and sweet all at once. AH?? just overall a delicious experience. i'm in love and will definitely be coming back again.

** The following review reflects my dining experience prior to the shelter-in-place order currently in effect. ** For some reason, I thought this would be a retro-type of greasy spoon with the accent on the grease. I came here because I didn't see many dining options on my way from the Forest Hill MUNI station to Mount Davidson, and I was holding out hope that I could find something healthy to eat here. As I expected, there were plenty of burger and fries options on the menu, and if it was an indulgent Fatterday Saturday, I could see myself going for the Mushroom Swiss Burger with Chili Cheese Fries. However, I dodged a bullet and found they offer four salads. Of course, I went for their highest ticket item, the $12.49 Cobb Salad, which came in an intentionally lopsided bowl. It was a robust combination of mixed greens, tomato, red onion, carrot, cucumber, a halved hard-boiled egg, strips of Swiss cheese, toasted croutons, a fanned-out avocado half, and chunks of grilled, somewhat oddly flavored chicken (photo: https://bit.ly/2R9ibow). The ranch dressing came on the side along with a dinner roll. It was quite a feast in one bowl - though I have to say none of the individual elements stood out on their own. I was just pleased I could order a salad. FOOD - 3 stars...big salad was almost too overloaded with toppings AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...not so greasy SERVICE - 3.5 stars...certainly fast enough TOTAL - 3 stars...not just a Fatterday destination RELATED - On your way to the Sunset? A walk for locals in the Miraloma neighborhood and parking for those stopping by. Tower Burger has been a long time staple in the area, offering very high quality, consistently priced burgers, chicken, salads, and more. I stopped by for the Cobb Salad, whose picture speaks for itself! As beautiful as it was delicious.. excellent mix of avocado, chicken, egg, and other veggies. I went with the vinaigrette dressing, which I highly recommend. Timely and friendly service in a clean/spotless restaurant. Will be back!

They have a nice menu that with a variety of items. The people seated next to us were enjoying the salmon and it looked absolutely delicious. We went for the burgers, because it's one of their must try items on the menu. It's a Smashburger with gooey cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and this delicious deliciously soft tasty bun. Diners tip: the burger comes with onions, and we both asked for them to be grilled. This is definitely the way to go. The burger is very generous in size, snd delicious. Perfectly seasoned, well-made, and it is that taste sensation that we all crave when eating a burger. The fries were tasty and lightly seasoned, and if you can get through the entire burger and the fries, you get a gold star. I did my usual two bites and I was done and yes, I took the rest home with me. This is a great restaurant and definitely should be on your list of places to try!
