I paid $140 for a 90-minute Luxe Stress Fix Pedicure, and honestly, I expected so much more. The pedicure was probably one of the least thorough pedicures I've ever received. My nails are crooked, and the Dazzle Dry looks absolutely horrible. It's uneven and messy, and definitely not what I expected after paying $140. The massage was also very underwhelming. For a 90-minute service, I would estimate that at least 30 minutes--or more--was spent without me actually being attended to. I was SO excited for this experience, especially because of the price and the whole "luxury" concept, but unfortunately, it just felt like a very basic and underwhelming pedicure. The headphones and eye mask were also a lot for me personally. I ended up feeling claustrophobic and overwhelmed rather than relaxed. Overall, 10/10 customer service, but the actual pedicure was a major disappointment. For $140, I expected my feet and nails to leave looking and feeling absolutely amazing, and unfortunately that was not the case. They could NEVER do what traditional nail salons do. DAZZLE DRY LOOKS EXTREMELY CHEAP !!!! Nothing like a beautiful thick gel nail. It also smells awful and does not dry quick !!!!

The facility itself was clean, and Mya was genuinely kind, thoughtful, and professional throughout the appointment. This review is not meant personally toward her at all. I also understand I should have asked more questions because I honestly didn't realize estheticians could perform "massage" services in this context. That said, the experience felt more like oil being rubbed on than an actual massage intended for recovery, muscle work, or physical relief. To make matters worse, I originally thought I had booked at another location and ended up driving all the way to Glendale from the opposite side of town. Looking back, I honestly wish I would have just canceled and paid the fee instead. Overall, I left disappointed because the service I was most excited about didn't match the expectations I've had from prior massage experiences. If you're looking for therapeutic massage or recovery-focused bodywork, this probably isn't the place for that. If your goal is simply to relax and unwind, then it may be a better fit for you. I booked a mani/pedi at Tocaloma Spa & Salon during my stay at the Tapatio Cliffs Resort on August 17th, 2026. The manicure you're seeing in the pictures I posted is BARELY a week old. I booked the basic manicure and splurged on the pedicure, which was another unfortunate choice. The basic manicure is $55 and when arriving to the salon, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my services to include gel polish for an extra $25 and French tips for another $15. I agreed because I figured since I was treating myself, I'd like my polish to last and I was already leaning towards getting French tips done anyway. So a $55 service turned into a $90 service, not including the automatic 20% gratuity, very quick. The price point isn't my biggest issue, it's the fact that I paid that much and most of the gel polish on my fingers didn't make it through the first 24 hours. Now onto the pedicure... I splurged and booked the Tocaloma Deluxe Pedicure which is $125. I had gel polish on my toes from a previous pedicure so it was an extra $25 to remove. When I agreed to gel polish and French tips on my hands, I also agreed for those services to be done on my toes so that added an extra $40. I was soo looking forward to the pedicure the most because I recently started working in a hospital to complete clinical hours and have been walking on average, 10k steps a day. If you know you know, my feet needed a lot of extra loving and the deluxe pedicure seemed to be the best service to give me exactly that. I was wrong! The deluxe pedicure is supposed to come with warm neck wrap, foot soak, exfoliating sugar scrub, callus removal, shea butter foot massage, a hydrating foot mask wrapped in hot towels, 20-minute foot massage, paraffin treatment and a complimentary glass of wine. I received maybe 4 things from that list. No neck wrap, no sugar scrub, no luxurious 20 minute shea butter massage, not even callus removal. When I asked my technician halfway through if she had been told I booked the deluxe pedicure, she said yes and eventually got up to get me a glass of wine. The total for all services plus the included 20% gratuity left me with a bill over $350. I genuinely wish I could go back in time to not book any of these services but unfortunately, that's not possible yet so I'm leaving this review to hopefully dissuade others from wasting their money here as well. The room I stayed in was a complete mess as well but that's a whole other story... Like I said in the beginning, the woman I received services from was super nice and I enjoyed talking with her. But at the end of the day, I'm a college student who saved up to treat myself to a small summer staycation at the Tapatio Cliffs resort and thought I'd do something nice for myself after working 60 hour weeks for months. The experience I had at Tocaloma Spa and Salon and the Tapatio Cliffs Resort did not live up to the way it was portrayed online or my expectations. I suggest looking elsewhere and spending your hard earned money somewhere the staff are attentive and genuinely care about your experience, not at this Spa and Salon, or the resort.
