I've been coming here for almost 3 years and have always left happy...until this past Friday between 10-10:30 AM. There was only one lady working, an older woman with glasses. She was very kind, but unfortunately, this was the most painful threading session I've ever had. It felt like far too much hair was removed, and when she finished, she applied aloe without asking (something the other ladies usually do after checking if the customer wants it). When she handed me the mirror, I noticed my brows looked a little uneven, but since I was rushing to a doctor's appointment, I paid and left. Later, in better lighting, I was shocked. My brows were extremely thin...something I've never experienced here. I've always had naturally fuller brows, even though they've thinned slightly with age, and I take pride in keeping them that way. I honestly wanted to cry. I eventually called to share my concerns, and while no manager or owner was available, the girl who answered was very sweet and understanding. I explained what happened and suggested that the threaders be reminded to always confirm exactly what the customer wants...especially when someone asks for a simple clean-up. I know brows grow back, but this has been really upsetting, especially with an event I have next weekend. This is definitely a learning experience for me, and I just want to encourage others to be specific with their requests and, if possible, stick to a threader you trust for consistency.

I was desperate to find a good place for threading eyebrows a couple of years ago and stumbled upon Beautifeye in old town Scottsdale on yelp which had many positive reviews. I scheduled an appointment and by fate it was with Diana. Without even telling her how I wanted my brows (I didn't even know what I wanted because I didn't think I had many options with my difficult brows), she threaded and shaped my eyebrows perfectly! Sadly, she moved locations to a location that was very far for me and so I tried three other threaders at Beautifeye and they completely messed up on my brows. Frustrated, I decided to give Beautifeye one last shot in hopes of getting someone who does my brows as perfect as Diana did before going elsewhere. Luckily and unexpected, Diana was back and was the only reason that kept me as a customer at Beautifeye until she left to start her own eyebrow threading business! She is very sweet and easy to talk to which is only an added bonus because to say Diana is the best with brows would be an understatement! There is absolutely no one else i will ever trust with my brows but Diana! Her prices are great and her new place at the salon is such a convenient location/very easy to find! Berta, I have tweezers at home. I know how to use them. Prior to this appointment, she never told me any rules. I have never done anything like this before so I brought my best friend/roommate with me for moral support. Also, I am a young woman and because she operates out of her house I wanted to bring my friend since it is an unfamiliar place. She opened the door and immediately started berating me for bringing my friend, saying I was "not normal" and "strange" multiple times for doing that. She said "I mean you're getting a brazilian, you really want her staring at your hoohah." She made me feel like I was weird when she was the one making it weird. I apologized multiple times and my friend said she would just go sit in the car, but she continued to make us feel so uncomfortable. She even said "I know I'm being harsh but if you really need her to sit and hold your hand that is not normal." After this experience I decided it would be better for me to leave as I did not feel comfortable doing something so vulnerable with her anymore.
