Cute little hole in the wall @ the Airbnb! Came in clutch when we did not want to leave the Airbnb for dinner from hiking all day!

Went somewhere else for Bao Buns because they had more reviews and wished I had not. Next time we will eat out entire meal here! Atmosphere great with some outdoor seating.

Came here for dinner due to unique menu selection (love at first 'sight' of the menu')…read more Nice ambience. Busy place. We got table right away. They came 3x and we were not ready to order. By the time we were ready, it took a while to find someone to take our order. The most wanted item is sold out, a fact that they told us upon ordering. Will be appreciated if we know ahead of time so we have more time to consider 'back up item'. There was a table beside us (came after us) who also discussed about ordering same sold-out items, and I was very tempted to tell them that it's sold out. But I figure it's not my place to say because the restaurant must have its own reason for NOT telling this upfront!!?????!! Ordered pork belly skewer , shiitake skewer, shrimp in spicy peanut sauce, and aburi salmon handroll, miso creme brulee. Best items are the shrimp with spicy peanut sauce, and miso creme brulee. Just wow!! For the rest: -If u have eaten shiitake before (at home for example) , u know nothing can go wrong with shiitake as it's already flavorful in its own (safe choice). -Pork belly has good flavor but kinda too fatty (it is a totally different style from the one I usually eat at other places). -Aburi salmon handroll doesnt taste like aburi at all. Just normal handroll basically. Nth special. It was my friend's birthday, we asked if they hv noodle (considering we were farrr from home) and they said it's only available during lunch (which is understandable), but then nth else was done to help celebrate this moment when they hear this fact (simple smile or simple 'happy birthday' could be a gift in its own). Overall, food-wise, we agree on best item and that this place is kinda meh (in terms of food selection and feels like very few 'flavor-worthed' ones).

*Late review* Came here at the ending of last year…read more Walking around the Banff town and heard good things about this place on social media and we saw the line was long outside so maybe there was some hype? The inside is very small and everyone sits around the conveyor belt. It is first come first serve so plan ahead if you wanna beat the lunch/dinner rushes. We went around 1:30 and it took us maybe ~40 minutes to get seated for a party of six (we didn't want to be separated). There is a sushi chef in the middle who makes the sushi right in front of you which is pretty entertaining. As for ordering, you can either ask the chef or your server. They are always putting different things on the conveyor belt so there is always an assortment of sushi to try. We weren't a fan of the sashimi but we did order a lot of the rolls. Their spicy ahi is different from what we're used to - it's just plain ahi with a drop of sriracha on top. Our favorite roll was probably the deep fried shrimp roll and California roll. You can't go wrong with that. We ordered the seaweed salad and potato croquette a couple of times. Price wise it's pretty expensive for the amount and quality that you get. All the food on the menu ranges from about $4.95-$7.95. IMO you're paying for the experience - sushi chef in front of you, conveyor belt, plates on a sushi train. There is one server for the restaurant because the seating area is so small, but the staff in general is pleasant. It's OK but hits the spot if you want a little sushi fix.

Ok, so I was a bit apprehensive about this place because of it being "revolving sushi"; however, I…read morewas pleasantly surprised! You won't find an extensive menu with lots of fancy rolls, but you can get some delicious salmon, yellowtail, or tuna. They also make shrimp tempura rolls, California rolls, and desserts. My favorite was the atomic mayo tuna, so good! My husband enjoyed the scallop. The staff here is so friendly. It's a tiny spot, so depending on when you go you might have to wait. If you are craving sushi this a great place to grab a quick bite!

The melt stood out to us due to the coconutty flavor but I would order both again! There were plenty of seats available and service was quick. Breakfast/Lunch Stop Worth the Detour…read more I'm a pretty picky eater. Not because I want to be, but because I have to be. I try to eat vegetarian in the morning, and I'm allergic to wheat, which makes dining out a little more complicated than it should be. My boyfriend found this little café outside Banff, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the better food surprises of the trip. We both ordered the Pad Thai -- one loaded with extra protein, one without. I had low expectations. I've eaten enough Thai food to know that about 7 or 8 out of 10 places overcook the noodles. They become soft, mushy, and fall apart the moment you touch them. Not here. The noodles were cooked perfectly -- still chewy with a nice bite. The peanut sauce was another pleasant surprise. It wasn't overly sweet or heavy like many North American versions. The balance was just right. The spice level was mild, which I appreciated because the dish actually tasted like Pad Thai instead of being buried under a mountain of chili. The vegetables were generous, fresh, and plentiful. My boyfriend's chicken portion wasn't huge, but there was plenty of tofu, which made sense since the dish is originally designed as a vegetarian option. The chef seemed to add the chicken as an extra rather than making it the star of the plate. The portion looked manageable when it arrived. It was not. I couldn't finish mine, and my boyfriend had to rescue the remaining noodles. Pad Thai: 4/5 The Vegan Berry Scone was light, not greasy, and not overly sweet. The strawberries and blueberries added little bursts of tartness, and there was a nice oat flavor throughout. My only complaint? It might have been too healthy. A tiny bit more sweetness could have taken it from "good" to "wow." Vegan Berry Scone: 3/5 The Vegan Chocolate Cake was exactly what a chocolate lover would want. Rich dark chocolate flavor without being sugary or overwhelming. It was a little dense and heavy, but in a comforting way that made me keep reaching for another bite. If the cake itself were slightly more moist, it would be nearly perfect. That said, making something both vegan and gluten-free that tastes this good deserves credit. Vegan Chocolate Cake: 4/5 What really impressed me was the overall value. Since the café is outside the main Banff tourist zone, prices are much more reasonable, parking is easy, and they offer a surprisingly large selection of gluten-free and vegan options. For someone like me, who usually spends half the meal interrogating the menu, that alone is worth celebrating. Final Rating: 4/5 Good food, fair prices, easy parking, and plenty of options for people with dietary restrictions. I'd absolutely come back. In fact, if I'm passing through again, I probably won't bother looking for another place.
