I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

These people didn't know what they were doing from the techs to the sales people. One tech was switching out light switched and shorted the breaker because he didn't turn it off to begin with which shorted out my $5000 4K Sony projector WiHome said because they didn't sell me the projector they wouldn't cover the damage. Thankfully Crutchfield exchanged it even though the projector was out of their return time limit. CRUTCHFIELD great company! I should have fired them there. But... I wanted the job done. The tech for Wihome Control 4 wrote crappy code which needed to be redone after the fact. They also give me outdated and incorrect components to Control 4 which also had to be replaced by another company. It was one fuck up after another. Just a Trash company!!! Do yourself a favor go with a more expensive company you'll save money in the long run trust me! Only positive My sales agent was a nice guy though he kept on trying to sell me Triad speakers when I knew I wanted Klipsch. At the end of the day I have spent almost as much with another company fixing all their mistakes.
