Bait and Switch.....
I have been to Total Med Solutions several times for various services: dysport, botox, microderm, and most recently Restylane. I was first introduced to this company through Groupon. I arrived with my groupon deal and they try to sell me on more product. They tell me I won't get the desired effects etc, which is frustrating and, when I say no, the person that day, seemed totally put out...., so I leave thinking that was a waste of time, anticipation and money.
I thought, next time, I'll go in for a consultation, be very clear on all that I need for forehead, tear trough, the whole shebang! I had a very nice RN tell me all that I needed, it was written down in my file and, of course, I took notes. She did tell me that for the tear trough area, none of the "deals" would count, as that was a special treatment area. I inquired how much that would be and she told me. I scheduled an appt about a month later, I verified on the phone when making my appt, how much the tear trough area would be, she confirmed the price the RN told me a month ago...$500. I realize prices may change from time to time (either up or down).
I get in there, and I'm told that the price is actually $575!. Now, let me say this, the person who administered the injections WAS AWESOME!! She was put in a difficult spot and she handled it completely professionally. She had to go to the office manager, then was told that they would have to call the central office??? So I waited....(good gosh, they have a deal right now - 1 syringe of Restylane for less than $300..)
Anyway, they came back and did the procedure for what they quoted but the office manager said that there was "no documentation" of the cost being $500 anywhere....but he would do it this time! HMMMM....well, I'm not an idiot, and I know what was told to me by 2 people. Oh, and the consultant (RN) from a month ago, had already left the company, and she had just started.....
When I had the consultation, she told me 1 syringe would do the trick for my tear trough area, well, she was incorrect,,,,it's going to take more...
Oh, and I was told on the phone that you cannot use any deals or promotion more than 1 x per 3 months. I looked on Groupon and the Total Med website and didn't see that anywhere.
So, now I need to go back in, pay $575 for another syringe of Restylane, I really won't need that much for my eye area, but my wonderful RN said she can put the remainder elsewhere. Question, why should I have to pay $575 for a specialized area for only a small amt being placed there? I've been checking other med spas and for every addition syringe, they drop the cost....
All in all, I've liked to RN's there, but I feel like I get the run around money wise.
Oh, and one time, someone from their office called me to tell me about a promotion they had, I said it's the same on groupon and would he give me a better deal....he said no, I said, well, if you don't have to pay the Groupon fee you would be saving money, so why not pass some of that savings onto me? ... He said, "well you're a savvy shopper, no I won't give you the discount". Okay...so you're taking a promotion off of groupon, calling me personally to sell it to me, which would save you fees paid to Groupon, but you're not willing to pass on any of those savings to me? I don't think so. Kind of biting that hand that feeds you....
Facility is clean, neat, when I did call for a consult, I asked for a specific person, they booked her with me on the phone, I got there and they told me she was at lunch and who did I talk to because they didn't have that down. Geez......same old thing with "who did you talk to"
