I just received a call that I missed my appointment. I was told my appointment was at 1 PM and I wasn't there. Since I was following the text I received at 1:45 PM yesterday, I told them that was when I was coming. The staff who called me insisted that I agreed to a time change when they called me yesterday. I remember the call to confirm but not the time. I checked my phone and the call was at 12:32 PM. Over an hour later, the text I received confirmed 1:45 PM. I have liked the doctors but have really disliked the staff at the Levittown offices. I'm unsure if I want to reschedule with them. read more

For your own eye safety do not go. The office manager and Dr. Stein are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. I unfortunately had LASIK surgery here and it was a traumatic event. Post appointments have also been equally as horrible. I was yelled at by Dr. Stein himself after asking for help. I actually feel unsafe going to any of these offices. They are not providing safe and quality care. Please be careful. I did allow the office to try to fix their mistakes over the past month and it has only gotten worse. They also over charge immensely in comparison to the technology and care they provide. They will happily take your money and traumatize you along the way. Please read the reviews. The receptionists at the front have no idea what they're doing. They put me down as a no call/no show when I was sitting right there in their waiting room for an hour and a half. The check-in girl lied and said she tried calling me but I was there on my phone the entire time, no incoming call or voicemail. Doctors are great but their staff needs some work. read more

Had an exam here and was given a prescription for glasses which was missing one measurement which meant that I could not use it to get glasses made except by their own optician to the tune of a minimum of $400+. I contacted their office and asked for that measurement and was told by the optician and separately by the optometrist that they would not provide that measurement due to "liability" should I have the glasses made at another place which would be affordable for me. Liability? Seriously? It's a money-grab and nothing else. Never going back. I paid for a service and was denied the results of that visit to fulfill my need. Absolutely shameful. They lost a client and I will tell everyone who asks not to go there. read more

I made an appointment at this center as it was the office where my now-retired ophthalmologist worked. I was scheduled with Dr. Singh. I made the appointment because literally overnight I had developed serious floaters in my right eye. After the examination I asked Dr. Singh directly, "Is there any treatment for floaters?" His answer: "No, you just have to live with it." NOT TRUE. In fact, unbelievably, they have an entire website dedicated to the treatment, which is called vitreolysis. It is a laser treatment that targets the floaters and breaks them up. I discovered this in about a five-minute search on the internet over the weekend. So I called the office first thing Monday morning, explained that I wanted an explanation from Singh as to why he had not even mentioned this possibility. I was told he would get back to me that day. NOT TRUE. So Tuesday morning I call, spoke to a very nice and helpful receptionist, and again explained the issue. She was empathetic and told me that she would get the clinical director to call me back that day. NOT TRUE. I never received a call, my questions are still unanswered, and now I'm going to have to find a real Eye care center that not only knows what they are doing but have the consideration to respond to their patients. Even if I didn't qualify for the treatment because of some issue with my eye, I asked the Dr. directly about treatments and he never even explained that there are treatments. NOT COOL, Dr. SINGH. Apparently Total Eye Care Centers are totally about taking your money and not caring a wit about whether they've actually done you any good. Avoid like the plague. read more

too long didn't read version; Dr. Lavrich is a total bada$$ who will likely resolve all of your vision problems. My mom is a 59 y/o woman with a history of severe traumatic brain injury, resulting in eye muscle injury and strabismus (eye-crossing) aka a very complex case which most ophthalmologists wouldn't touch. Luckily Dr. Lavrich isn't just any ophthalmologist. Our journey with Dr. Lavrich began when we were referred to her in January 2022. Our first appointment was in April 2022, and after a slew of appointments and tests, eye muscle surgery was in June 2022. We cannot sing Dr. Lavrich's praises enough, as she is a total and complete gem. She is so very thorough and has a great personality. She genuinely CARES about her patients, so much so that she adds patients in and runs herself continuous in the office (this does often result in long wait times to see her, especially when testing is involved - but I promise, she's worth it). After my mom's complex surgery, Dr. Lavrich was concerned about her and asked us to come in less than 24h later so she could see my mom before a long holiday weekend. This appointment was not scheduled in advance and Dr. Lavrich added us in because she cares that much. Additionally, she urged us to call her if we had any challenges or concerns over the holiday weekend, and I have no doubt that if we had needed her, she would've risen to the occasion. Her compassion and expertise is very palpable, and in our case it provided my mom the confidence she needed going into the procedure. Now in October 2022, after two follow up appointments, my mom is starting to have single vision some portion of the time - something that never would've been possible prior to surgery. We are still in the long process of correcting my mom's double vision and improving my mom's eye health, but I have no doubt that Dr. Lavrich will get us to where we need to be. If you have vision challenges resulting from brain injury or really any problems with your eyes at all, look no further, Dr. Lavrich is the one. read more

I am writing this review for someone who does not have a yelp account. Do NOT go to Total Eye Care. Extremely poor service, Long list of negative Yelp reviews despite these "glowing" google reviews. I called the contact lens department 8 times to try and get my daughter an appointment before she ran out of contacts. They never returned any of our 8 telephone calls; and as a result she was forced to continue using her last pair of disposable contacts which is never medically advised. We wrote the owner to notify them that none of our 8 calls were returned and to inform them of the lack of communication and poor customer service. Rather than the owner telling the employees to do their job, or attempting to help us remedy the situation, we received a nasty letter telling us that we were being terminated as patients of ALL Total Eye Care Centers. Not only was this childish but it was highly unprofessional and a clear indication that these people do not care about quality service. I would advise you to go elsewhere if you care about timely appointments and good customer service. read more

Once again, Total Eye Care has failed me miserably and the last straw has been broken. I went to my scheduled appointment today, after having received my remonder snd confirmation robo calls mind you; only to ve told that my appointment was rescheduled to 4:30 fron 12:45 because the doctor changed his hours (for the second time in less than 6 weeks). But no one told me of this. Last time they kept me waiting for nearly 2 hours in thier hot parking lot, so I wasted a quarter tank of gas just to keep cool when they could have simply called to say they were behind and before that they failed to send the preauthorizations to the surgical center for a procedure. The tryst is completely gone, busted. I'm done with this organization and anyone associated with this mess. Zero stars? How about a -5 stars? Complete amatures. read more

I began the process of getting lasik in the beginning of April. I got to meet with Dr. Johnson, who conducted the consultation and approved me as a candidate for lasik. Dr. Johnson, and then every single person I had the pleasure of interacting with, was so supportive, answered any and every question I had, and did everything possible to help me feel safe and confident going into the procedure. I am now two days post op and I feel no pain or discomfort at all in my eyes. Dr. Stein met with me 1 day post op to make sure everything was healing properly and we were proud to confirm that I have 20/20 vision the very day after the surgery! I cannot possibly express how life changing this procedure was. It is a complete miracle of the modern age that I can see without glasses or contacts. Dr. Stein and Stacy, and everyone at total eye care treated me like family and I am just so grateful that I got to meet all of these wonderful people. I cannot stop singing praises about my results and to Dr. Stein. I am confident with saying the level of care I received was unparalleled and I was extremely nervous going in but I would make this choice 1000 times over again. Thank you Dr. Stein and Total Eye Care for treating me like family and with the upmost care and professionalism. I'm at a loss for words to convey how grateful I am. read more

This business is, as other reviewers have mentioned, something of a mixed bag. They are trying to do too much and not doing a lot of it well. I'll try to explain. Started coming here years ago when I moved to the area. Saw one Opthamologist, was not happy with their treatment, am now seeing Dr. Nicholson. She is doing a great job as are her assistants. I would have no problem recommending someone go here for regular eye exams. The practice also does a lot of cosmetic work. I had cosmetic tattooing of both upper and lower lids (and yes, the anesthesia necessary is quite unpleasant). The doctor who did the procedure did match the color to my lash color, but they did one eye, ran out of the procedure room to do something, then were back like 10 minutes later to do the other eye. Was not happy with the results then and said so. Doctor was rude and didn't seem to care. Now, some 3 years later the ink has faded and you can hardly see the results. The practice also pushes a lot of other cosmetic eye related things, injections to fix saggy eyes, prescriptions to make your lashes grow longer, etc. Have had my dealings with that part of the business too. Not too impressed, am sure it makes the business money. The opticians here (who I will try and post a separate review of) are not recommended. At All, Zero Stars. Go somewhere, anywhere else. The optical staff is clueless, put screws in the wrong sides of your frames, don't know what Loctite is. They don't keep records of what you ordered the last time, so you need to keep track. A physician myself, AM used to certain expectations form staff such as Not tolerating any lies, being courteous to patients and if they make a mistake to at least have the courage to own it up and apologize to patients and families for inconvenience. My first interaction was for an appointment with the Optometrist - Dr Cianni- I am not sure what to say because the staff made an appointment for Levittown and he was actually at Newtown- we were 10 min early for the appointment and the MAN REFUSED TO SEE US EVEN IF WE WERE GOING TO MAKE IT- SO RUDE ... I decided that he was not worth my time cause truly if he does not have respect for people who are far better trained than him than I do no know what and how rudely he behaves with people who are non medical and are just there cause they need help... Dr Stein is good surgeon but his staff is totally out of control - they out right lie about appoint phone call changes, and thank God for phone logs we know and can prove it. But it is a shame that People like Dr Stein who just need these people to do their jobs are going to get this bad review due to HIS INCOMPETENT, LYING AND IRRESPONSIBLE STAFF- I would have fired them unless they corrected their ways.... read more

Visited their Newtown office as I had eye pain concerns. From reception to Dr. Stein they were rude and arrogant. The "assistant" spent the most time with me. What a joy that was. She had the personality of a flea. She did ask a lot of questions to try to get at the root of my problem. However, not one of the questions was if I had glasses. Weird, right? Dr. Stein was arrogant and unfriendly. He gave me the feeling that I was wasting the 10 minutes of his time that he was spending with me. When I asked if my problem could be a result of eye strain he said maybe and asked if I wanted an exam for glasses. Duh. In the end, I got no real answers except try the new glasses prescription and comeback if it didn't help. But he did make a point to tell me to bring my kids in for a ped appt. before they start school bc there is a ped. Dr. there. Hmm. No thanks. I then waited for a long time with their in house optical person who was nice but was interrupted by the unfriendly assistant. It seems as if she had an urgent issue of trying to find the number on a pair of glasses. She couldn't see. Ha! There is so much more to this appointment. In summary, maybe if you are a "celebrity" getting LASIK like John Kruk or Florence Henderson you will get better service and answers. And maybe Dr. Stein will even take his picture with you and hang it in his office next to them too. read more

A few months ago my child had an emergency and visited this practice. While the service from the doctors seemed okay, today I received a threatening phone call from Colleen and then her supervisor telling me that I am playing games and owe them money for care. First the ladies called an hung up on my multiple times. They should have professionally stating their name and business that they were calling from as the first point. My child and I do not share an insurance provider so I was quite surprised at the loud and rude tone as well as the demand for payment and the belligerent nature from both of the "collection" people. Not only did they yell at me but to accuse me of "semantics" for a bill I have never received nor that would have been addressed to me is inappropriate. Both ladies went on to try to make assumptions about my living situation and other Inappropriate banter. Here is a tip to your office staff, you can not yell at people and threaten them in an effort to collect claims that have been sent to an insurance provider who according to your team has requested more information. You can not call a person who has had no business with you and attempt to harass them and bully them. I wouldn't give them a star if i could. Horrible staffing forgot my 5 year old daughter was in the office after taking our $50 copay. She sat with her father for 3 hours before he had to go to the front desk and they said "Oh, we have you as checked out. Let me see if the Dr can still see you". The Dr gave her 5 minutes of her time and left. They had no explanation when i called furious and after "looking" for the manager for 5 seconds told me she left for the night. I left a 5 minute message infuriated and never received a call back. I would not recommend sending anyone here. They only care about getting copay's and that is it. This takes the cake. I arrive for a minor procedure that requires something to numb the area.After 20 minutes of waiting I'm told they ran out of Lidocaine. This is a surgical center and they don't have any Lidocaine?! And more won't arrive until Monday (today is Thursday). The nurse apologized profusely, but said she'd have to get permission to return my $40 copay. She pissed me off even more by telling me what she and other people go through. My wife and I missed work to be here, costing us money. Their reason for not calling earlier: they didn't check it until it was time for my procedure. I'm getting the procedure next week and I'd love to hear the excuse for running out of this medication. read more

This is a tough one for me. I had LASIK and the surgery went beautifully. The tests beforehand, prep, surgery, everything. Everyone was very nice. The problem came on a checkup. I had Dr Cianni who was awesome. Post surgery I was experiencing dryness so he decided to "plug" my eyes (a little thing that pops into your tear ducts to keep your eyes moist and took about 2 min). Said that dryness was common and plugging the eyes was no big deal. Great, right? Months later I received a bill for the "procedure" and was surprised because I was never told it would cost extra. I called and asked about the bill and was told that the doctors do not communicate well with the patients on billable procedures that cost extra and was sympathetic to me and would speak to the doctor. Great, right? I received another bill and called and the next lady told me that I need to pay the bill. After some discussion, she said she would check with the doctor about the issue and would call me back. No call back, but I received another bill in the mail with directions to pay or else I would be reported to their collections agency. I paid the bill and now am on yelp to share my experience. I'm just disappointed that I had to give them 2 stars. I had a great experience except for that last bit. read more

I came in to check out glasses and put in a new order. The minute I come in the lady who works the glasses section "says how can I help you?" I respond by saying " I'm looking for glasses and would like to order them." She says with attitude " I'm done! I'm done! I was supposed to leave at one, I can't help you! Do you see all these orders I can't help you and I need to clean up and leave!". I asked her if I could at least look and she says yeah but you have 5 min. She said I could come back the day after Christmas. Hahaha like I would ever come back to you for help! I'm really disappointed in the customer service. Instead of politely saying she has to leave and cannot help me she had to throw an attitude and raise her voice at me. I'm also disappointed that there was nothing on the website indicating the glasses section was closing at 1 because if I knew I would have come sooner. Horrible! I will definitely go somewhere else. I made an appointment for lasik consult a few weeks ago. I made it for 6pm because I work in the city. I received a call from them the same day as the appointment at noon informing me that they could not honor my time and I had to come in by 5. I said I couldn't do that because I work in the city and take the train and I would have to reschedule after the holiday. I was then told if I didn't come in for the consult before the holiday that I would lose the promotional offer. I cannot come in next week due to work meetings and then the holiday again (New Years). How is it my fault that they cancel my appointment hours before (probably because they wanted to leave early due to the holiday) and then not even offer to honor the promotion for me? I guess I'll take my business to a more professional business. read more

Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. Don't waste your time with this place especially if you're looking for a doctor for your child. My son began seeing Dr. Lavrich (their pediatric dr) at 11months old. We thought she was great at first. Then we didn't get his first pair of glasses for nearly a MONTH. Well, benefit of the doubt and all, we kept going. Always a super long wait time in the waiting room and the private room for the doc. And when he got his new glasses at 2 YO we had the same issue with the amount of time it took and then finally when we kept calling they said "oh his glasses are here we called your husband and told him" UM NO they did not! They lie constantly and I am not the first reviewer to have had this issue. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, today is what did it for me. Here's the BIG issue- He had a check up today since he just turned 3 to check his prescription and he was crying/throwing a fit (as most kids will at the eye dr, hell I don't even like the eye dr) and the doctor REFUSED to examine him!! Are you kidding?! A pediatric eye dr won't examine my child because he's crying even though he's cried for all of his other appointments and it's never been an issue?! Then she had the NERVE to write in his chart (I can access thru patient portal) that he was examined and there's been NO CHANGE since his last visit!!!!! IM PISSED!!! He was NOT examined. His eyes changed pretty considerably between 11months and 2 years old and his prescription as well! Plus he has been complaining about his eyes and glasses lately so I'm thinking he needs yet another new script not to mention we are supposed to be monitoring another issue with his one eye so THAT wasn't checked either! Yet she writes no change!!! Then she wants us to make an appoint for JUNE! Four months away like he's not going to cry again and we're not going to have to do what we could have just gotten over with today anyway! Complete incompetence. Rude. Their website claims that they specialize in hard to fit contact lenses. As I fit into this category for 30+ yrs I decided to try them once my other eye dr retired & my previous lenses were discontinued. I explained my situation when I scheduled my appt and was assured that Dr Johnson was the best. But the girl who did my eye exam I later learned was only a student. I have nothing against students, but with my eye issues, I was expecting a professional. Furthermore, not one person who came into the exam room introduced themselves. The student, Dr. Johnson or the tech Sandy. Sandy by the way is under the assumption that an eye exam is really a memory test and actually said to me "You just read it" - umm yes, but with my other eye, and I didn't know this was a memory test! I was then told that they decreased my previous prescription and was seeing 20/20. But they sent me home in the same brand of contacts that I had issues with when I went in. A week later during my second appt I was again told that I was seeing 20/20 even tho I could only see 50% of the time - and Dr Johnson was hesitant about trying others lenses on me! Manufacture kickbacks maybe?! She suggested I schedule another test and see Dr Lavrich. I went for the test and met Dr Lavrich - who actually introduced herself and was pleasant & knowledgeable!! Dr Lavrich even did a push up test on my contacts - which Dr Johnson never did although she did try to calm me by falsely assuring me that she was a professional and "this is what she does" - wrong profession maybe?! After the push up test moved my contact lens to the correct position I could see - imagine that! I was then told I had a strabismus - yet never in my years have I been diagnosed with that or had any issue - until my previous contacts were discontinued! A few minutes later after a consult with both Dr Lavrich & Dr Johnson, Dr Lavrich unfortunately softened up to Dr Johnson's mis-informed way of thinking and they decided to give me temporary plugs assuring me that over the next 3 days my vision would be better while wearing my contacts - WRONG! They also wanted me to go for expensive therapy for my "strabismus". I canceled my appts for permanent plugs & follow ups and decided to try elsewhere. But before I left, I asked for my pupillary distance so I could order glasses as I refuse to pay their inflated prices. Dr Johnson explained that they don't give that out since it will change depending on the glasses. I'm no dr, but how does the distance between my pupils change??! I can try on 100 glasses and I am certain my PD will not change! Three weeks later I went to another eye dr who questioned my current prescription and informed me that I was only seeing 20/40 & 20/30 - not the 20/20 that Dr Johnson had said. I went here after my current eye dr of 20 years said he was moving offices. When I called to make an appointment I was notified that my eye dr was slowly retiring. I explained I needed a eye exam to get a new prescription cause my vision had changed. They ask if I wore contacts I say yes and I needed to order more when I got the new prescription. They said I'd be seen by Dr. Johnson who specialized in contacts. When I checked in the lady said I was doing a lens exam. I said I didn't need a lens exam I already had the kind of lens I liked. I just need to update my vision. I then go back and have this guy who said he was in school and interning there for the past 2 weeks. He asks me the new patient questions (allergies, illness, existing conditions). I told him the brand of contacts I wear and I even took a picture of the box and had a pair in the package to make sure they gave me the right brand and size. He says he's just going to check to make sure the fit it good. He looks and said they looked good. I said yes I liked this brand and have been wearing these for 4 years. Then he proceeds to do a mediocre eye exam not even using the equipment just holding up lens to my eye. He said he marked everything down for the Dr who would be in shortly. He leaves the room and I hear him explain to the Dr outside the door what I told him (retired Dr, first time, vision changed, likes her current contacts). Dr. Johnson comes in and says that I need to do the normal eye exam with looking at the back of the eye with dilation. I said yes I know that's what I've come for, my annual eye exam since my vision changed and I needed to order new contacts. She says ok and leaves and the intern continues with doing the exam. After everything has been done by the intern she comes in and does a quick look and says she can order my contacts for $498 for the year. I said I had a couple of the old ones left and that I normally order from a online site. She says ok and that my new prescription would be printed out when I check out. I go to check out and they say it'll be $95. I said no it was a normal eye exam and that I already paid my co-pay. The receptionist said the Dr marked it as lens fitting. She said she would call the Dr to explain what I was saying. I was then escorted to a empty room where the Dr came in with a assistant. She said I had a lens fitting exam and it was $95 and if I wanted my prescription for contacts. If I didn't want to pay that then they would just write a prescription for glasses. They pretty much extorted me. I would not recommend this place. read more

I was excited about this company after reading many positive reviews and went. They changed my exam date and confirmed my insurance they than denied once I arrived they stated my insurance was not accepted for eyeglasses. If giving negative stars was an option, this office deserves it! Two years ago, I made the mistake of taking my infant son to see Dr. Laurich. After an hour plus wait in the waiting area, followed by another 90 minute wait in one of their rooms, the doctor finally deemed it appropriate to see us. This was after I dealt with comments made by the staff about the stink from my infant sons diaper. Well, what did they expect from a child. This shocked me after they were recommended by his pediatrician. I took him for a follow up appointment several months later and had a similar experience. The real issue comes from their billing office. We received our first bill in May 2012, which was immediately paid in full. The office deposited our check but failed to credit the account. For the next 18 months, we continued to contact the office regarding this. Even after providing them with proof that the bill was paid, including check numbers, images and the date they deposited my check, we did not get a resolution. They passed this account to a collections agency. The same information was shared with them. I was able to connect with a new office manager at Total Eye Care, who then cleared our account and provided me with documentation showing that my account was now considered paid in full. End of story, right? Wrong! Now almost two years after I originally paid the bill, the account was still listed as in collections, and has hit all 3 credit agencies. My husbands credit score has dropped almost a 100 points. At a time where we are in the process of obtaining a mortgage for a new home purchase, the ramifications of the laziness and sloppiness from this office are now exaggerated! We came upon Total Eye Care when we discovered my toddler son needed glasses. Neither my husband nor I wear glasses so the experience was new and foreign to us. Very few eye care places even carry the type of frames we needed and Total Eye Care was one of them. Our first visit to have him fitted for the frames went very well. I felt comfortable with the staff and felt like she was very knowledgeable. The glasses were going to take at least 2 weeks to come in due to insurance. When they came in the frames looked a little big but I had not I seen them on him in about two weeks so I thought it was just my misconception. When we got home I realized the frames were the wrong size (meant for a 6-9yr old) and contacted Total Eye Care. The girl agreed they looked too big and said she would follow up with the person who took our order to have the issue resolved. The next day I called to see what was going to be done about the oversized frames. This is where my experience with Total Eye Care became a huge headache and disappointment. The woman who took my call (who also fitted my son for the glasses) was rude from the second she answered the phone. She essentially told me she was with another customer, she wasn't sure why I was calling because the correct frame size was being ordered ( mean while there were two sizes my son could get due to his age and an overlap in options). She provided me zero information regarding timeline, what size they were actually ordering, what would be expected of the old glasses and did not clarify that we would not be charged for the error. I was so caught off guard by the interaction that it wasn't until the call ended I realized all the questions I had. I called back later in the day and spoke to another staff who was much more apologetic and answered all my questions. She also stated the frames were put in for expedited shipping. Two weeks go by and my sons new frames had not arrived (it took two weeks for the first set). My husband called this time and similarly to my experience is greeted by rude staff. When my husband asks about the status of our sons glasses the woman ask what he meant by status. When he clarified he wanted to know when they would be in, she proceeded to look up my sons order. She then tells my husband the glasses are on back order and that she "had already informed your wife about that." This was not true, in fact she told me nothing which is why I had to call back and speak with someone else. It is now going on three weeks (five if you include the time it took to get the first pair) and my son still does not have the correct frames. I do not fault the company for mis-ordering the first set of frames, people are human they make mistakes but the costumer service being provided is unexceptable. We will never use their services again which is sad because my son will most likely be a life long costumer. read more

This business seems to be getting worse. They make appointments and then cancel them because their docs were never scheduled to work that day to start with. They lose appointments. No one ever calls you back. When you do get an appointment, the wait time is upwards of 45 minutes just to get called back and then usually another 15-20 minutes waiting for the doc. Patients who have conditions that require exams every 3 months should be considered priorities and given preferred appointment times. read more

I will echo what I have read about the rudeness of the reception staff. The receptionist was extremely condescending when I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Cianni. She told me I needed to call my insurance company to determine which eye plan I had despite the fact that it hadn't changed since my prior visit. I asked if I could schedule the appointment as I really needed to be seen and I would call right back with the insurance confirmation. Once again I was rudely told no. Policy or not, it seems that the attitude could be improved significantly. I immediately made an appointment with another practice and got in with no problem. Unprofessional, uncaring and outright rude staff here. We showed up a few mins early for my daughter's appointment and was told that they weren't able to find us in the system. Amy at the front desk was anything but helpful. She did let me know that I could pay up front for the visit though. Which I'm sure would have made her job a lot easier. Since I have insurance I refused that option. I had to call my insurance company and handed the phone over to Amy so she could get authorization that I had coverage. Amy also informed me that I would have to go through this process every time I come in there. ???? So while she is on my phone right in front of my she sits there rolling her eyes and shaking her head. Amy would had been perfectly happy if I had just left without trying to get this situation resolved so my daughter could be seen. Amy seemed to have had an issue with doing her job. At one point she called back to someone else in the office to inform them that we were there but dealing with insurance issues. Then asks them how long they are going to give me.....So she FINALLY PULLS US UP IN THE SYSTEM WITH NO HELP FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY BECAUSE THEY HAD PUT HER ON HOLD FOR A MANAGER TO TALK TO HER AND SHE JUST PASSED THE PHONE BACK TO ME. We take a seat and are called back shortly by the Dr.'s assistant. She does the exam on my daughter and tells us the Dr. will be in soon. 5 mins later the assistant comes back in to say the Dr. is stuck in traffic but isnt to far away. So the Dr. was never even in the building and no one could relay this information to me sooner? When the Dr. finally arrives over an hour past our appt time she DOESNT EVEN APOLOGIZE. She looks at my daughter for 1-2 mins and tells us the new rx is at the front desk. we saw the Dr. for maybe 4-5 mins!! Client service here is absolutely horrible. Not only will I never step foot in this office again but I will let everyone know of my horrible experience. read more

My husband had 2 cataract surgeries this year both performed by the doctors at the Levittown and Lawernceville locations, surgery was fine problems with insurance due to them sending him out of PA for the surgery center. That took over 4 months to correct meanwhile we received unnesseccary "Reminders" that there was an outstanding balance. The problems started again trying to get glasses for him afterwards --they recommended some "soft-wear" to retrain his brain, Insurance will not help to pay for....then finally they provided the prescription for glasses. Needless to say went elsewhere for the glasses, he had problems seeing with them went for a complete eye exam with a different eye doctor prescription COMPLETELY different, had new glasses made and he is not having any vision problems at all. Contacted Total Eye Care and was asked why we didn't return to have the glasses made or to be re-examed by them when the glasses weren't working. ARE YOU KIDDING???!!! After so much time and money why keep going back to a place that only knows how to bill and provide excuses when they get caught up in their scheme to rip off patients!! I recently had both cataracts removed by Dr. Stein. Both procedures went very well, but my vision in the left eye was still blurred several months following the surgery. After referring me to Dr. Sardi, a very large floater was discovered that was obstructing the entire field of vision in my left eye. Dr. Lavrich was able to apply a very new laser technique to safely remove 80% of the floater and greatly improved my vision! She is one of only 7 doctors in the US qualified to perform this procedure, which is far safer than a surgical operation. She also detected a problem with the way my eyes were interacting with each other that was affecting my depth perception and causing difficulty reading and eye fatigue. She referred me to Dr. Nicholson who gave me a program of eye exercises that I am now following to improve my vision. I am extremely satisfied with the expertise and professionalism of the doctors and staff at Total Eye Care. They absolutely chose the right name for their organization! read more

This was my first visit and my last, it started fine but after they put the solution in my eyes told me had to wait 20-30 minutes after 80 minutes left. All this place is in my opinion is a doctor mill pack as many as you can in one day and who cares how long they have to wait. Also seems there Techs do they majority of the work, they Tech told me I needed glasses for distance after 3 minutes. Wow that's surprising since I have no problem with distance. Would not recommend seems like all they want to do is bill you extra and try and sell you glasses. read more

A few days after my initial horrible experience I received a call from Total Eye Care apologizing for the error and offering me a free contact exam as a make good. I went today for that exam and it was a complete 180. I was in and out within 45 minutes. The doctor and assistant were both very friendly and the whole experience was a lot more pleasant then the first time around. Kudos to Total Eye Care for turning my negative experience into a more positive one. read more

I have been going to Levittown Total Eyecare Center for as long as I can remember. I never had any problems until recently. I had a pair of glasses made there and they are progressive lenses. I was talked into getting more expensive glasses then I really wanted to spend the money on. I went back once for an adjustment of the nose pads because they were not adjusted correctly. I tried to adjust to these progressive lenses but I just cannot do it. When I called the associates, they told me to keep trying the glasses for at least a month. The hours there are very inconvenient for me so when I finally got to go to take the glasses back they told me I waited too long for them to make my glasses into reading glasses at no charge. Now they want me to pay another hundred dollars to have the lenses changed into reading glasses. I do not feel that the glasses were made correctly in the first place and that's why I can't get used to them. All I really want is a pair of glasses that I can see through but I don't want to put any more cash out of my pocket for them. The girl was very rude and talked down to me and I don't think that that's any way to treat your loyal customers. Guess I'll be finding a new place to get my glasses. read more

I called in asking to see a Dr. who can treat macular degeneration and bleeding in retina. Told them we already saw an OD and know the diagnose is macular degeneration and new bleeding was found. The front desk recommended Dr. Stein and assured me that's what he does. Went in and repeated the same examination we did with the OD 2 days ago, and Dr. Stein stopped by for 5 minutes and spend 1 minute looking at the patient. What he said was there's scar and we need to see a retina specialist. I tried to ask question like how urgent it is or if it's bleeding, he couldn't answer any of them. Other than repeating we need to see a retina specialist, there isn't any other information. But that is what we call for - we need to see someone who can treat macular degeneration!!! They charged $454+ for this medical opinion "you need to see a retina specialist", which I already knew before I called this place by spending $90 to see an OD. Dr. Stein is the most arrogant and unprofessional Dr. I have ever seen. He was also the least helpful since based on his response it seems he knew nothing about the patient's problem. I wish I could see the reviews here before I called this place. I will never go back again since it's a completely waste of money and time. You can go to a mall and spend 1/5 of the price to get much more information about your diagnosis and possible treatment plan. It's a very disappointing experience especially for the patient, who is a self paying foreign visitor spending one month salary in this place and got nothing. read more

I'm a long-time patient. I started by taking an older friend to Dr. Stein for cataract surgery in both eyes, and we both loved Dr. Stein, and the procedure went great, and he was wonderful. Then I needed an eye exam and glasses, and saw Dr. Cianni, who was way better than my previous doctor. I bought my glasses through them, but wasn't impressed. My mother had macular degeneration, so we saw Dr. Sardi, whose approach was different than her previous doctor, and took 45 minutes instead of 4-5 hours, which is important when you are in your late 80's, and seemed to work at least as good. I saw Dr. Cianni for glasses, and was thrilled with the improvement, and asked for contacts. I have astigmatism, and contacts were finally an option. He referred me to Dr. Johnson for contacts, and after several tries, they worked for me for a year or so. My cataract friend continues to see Dr. Nicholson, who is very knowledgeable. The next time I needed glasses, I saw Dr. Cianni, and asked if he could fit me for contacts, too. He jumped through hoops for me, trying to fit my astigmatism, since my aging eyes are difficult. He got it perfect, but then my eyes changed again, and I realized that I'm not a good candidate at this time, since I don't have the patience and time to deal with this. I'll just wear glasses that I buy elsewhere, with Dr. Cianni's prescription. I totally trust Dr. Cianni, Dr. Nicholson, Dr. Sardi, and Dr. Stein. read more
