Recently I picked up my new glasses. From the moment I put them on I suspected there was a problem. They gave me severe double vision. The girl told me to wait and put them on the next day since I had been wearing my other glasses. I ignored that advice and put them on when I got home. After 4 hours of torture, I took them off. The next morning I tried again. I wore them for several hours, but had to change to my old prescription when I drove as the double vision made it unsafe. I called and was told to wear them for at least a week. I tried to explain how bad it was and that it was dangerous, but the sweet girl just kept saying, "I understand," and not inviting me to come in. After a couple more hours of hell, I looked closely at the lenses of my old vs new glasses and there was a definite difference. I called back, got another girl who this time gave me an appointment. When I arrived I got the same girl who helped me the previous day. She is the reason I am writing this review. Unfortunately, she never said her name. When I explained that I was having a serious problem seeing out of the glasses, her attitude became rude and dismissive. She said, "Weren't you just here yesterday?" in and angry tone. I explained how bad it was and tried to show her the difference in the lenses. I said, " There should be a prism in the lenses." She snapped at me, There IS a prism in them!" I held my ground while she searched her computer for what I do not know. She seemed intent on proving me wrong. I asked if there was a machine she could use to check the prescription and see if the prism was correct. She finally went back to look. Fortunately Glenn appeared at that point (if you go there, insist on having him help you with your glasses) after a while, she came back and told me Glenn said they were sending the glasses back to the lab. I asked if they had the prism in them and she replied (I kid you not!), "I don't know. I don't know how to check." The story has a happy ending. The glasses came back with obviously different lenses and I could instantly see out of them. I wore them driving home. But the way I was dismissed and disrespected has shaken my faith in this practice. I have had more glasses than years that girl has been alive. Eye glasses serve one purpose - to help you SEE. Brushing off a patient and telling them to wear glasses for "at least a week," is dangerous! read more

This place blew me away. The Sales guy wasnt pushy, and guided me to newer glass styles and technology I wasn't aware of. They take of everything without the need to be asked like glasses cleaning, adjustments. Oh and they do house calls for elderly or sick people. Who does that?? Love this place. read more

I was surprised to find an eye doctor's office that checks off all the right boxes. -clean and bright -good scheduling availability -friendly staff and doctor -advanced equipment and procedures -THOROUGH -practically no waiting around Da Vinci knocked it out of the park for me in all of the above-mentioned ways. I was extremely satisfied and walked away with answers to vision problems that I simply didn't get elsewhere. And I now have a better sense of what my eyes are dealing with. I got in, one of the office staff ran some preliminary tests, then the doctor did some further tests. When I explained to him some of my issues, he said what I was describing was a little unusual, so instead of just shrugging his shoulders, he got more determined to figure it out - to the point where he did additional tests, re-did some things again for a 2nd sweep, and even commented that he was breaking out some old less-modern techniques to try and aid him. It felt good to see that he was clearly going out of his way and off the normal course to try and nail down what was going on with me. By the end of the visit, I had answers and a game-plan and I feel like it was an appointment well-spent. I can't recommend Dr. Hess and Da Vinci enough! I agree with the other negative review below.This vision center overcharged me for a simple copy of an eye exam/office test report which was one piece of paper. I was charged $10.00 for a copy of an eye exam/test report to be submitted to another eye provider in an eye hospital. Most doctors office just give patients in an office summary report free of charge if requested. The only thing I received free of charge was another script for glasses which eye doctors are required to do regardless. Also, in my opinion,this location's selection of eye glass frames is extremely limited and this provider's office did not have the most pleasant people working there as well. They wanted me to come back an additional time to be fitted for the eye glasses whereas any other eye glass office does everything all in one office visit. I found a new local eye provider the following year. I learned when you have money it spends anywhere, interesting. read more

Let me start off by saying, eye doctors scare me. I get so nervous, it's like a test and I avoid them at all cost and I have almost perfect vision (It's been over 6 years since the last time I went to one). That being said, EVERYONE SHOULD VISIT THIS PLACE! From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, it was an incredible experience. The staff and the doctor were so beyond nice and really personable. I ended up getting glasses (first time ever) for a slight problem I have. They helped me find the best glasses and paying was a breeze. I have already told everyone I know about them. I almost wish I had a reason to go back....almost. LOL. Very disappointing experience after my family has been patients for several years. I had an appointment for an annual exam but was told after the appointment that I am charged for a medical visit because I told the doctor about a problem with my eyes. She performed no additional procedures at the appointment and told me my problem was just "old age" and required no follow up. At check out , I was charged $80 for a medical exam. I was told this is because I had a concern about my eyes so it was no longer an annual exam. My family will no longer go to Da Vinci Eye Care LLC. read more

I was charged, a while back, a faxing fee for having an eye exam result faxed to a eye specialist in Philadelphia and my local family doctor was well. It was, I believe approximately $10.00 for a piece of faxed paper. This was the first time this ever happened to me. I needed the results sent, so I paid the fee in full and my eyes are fine. Also, this practice, in my opinion, had a limited selection of glasses to pick from. I have great insurance, my new eye doctor has a good selection of eye glasses, better office hours to accommodate my schedule and processes my paperwork without a charge. read more

Insurance is Davis Vision through Husbands Personal Choice plan. Front desk staff was unable to locate valid insurance. Husband provided his ID and I was still told no valid insurance. Husband called Davis Vision and got the group number. I went back in and after reading the number from Davis Vision was immediately told that is not a valid number either. In the last two months this insurance has been used at Will Eye Ophthalmology, Penn Medicine Ophthalmology and Children Hospital Ophthalmology without issue, but at this practice I was unable to and front desk staff would not call to verify valid coverage. read more

Just had my initial visit for yearly eye exam. Can not say more what a pleasant and professional experience this was. Dr.Hess made me feel very comfortable and relaxed over a very anxiety producing time for me. I felt well cared for and also was given an emotional comfort from the initial sign in to sign out.
