I can't say enough positive things about the staff at Visual Eyes. From the moment I approached the outside glass office door I was greeted by Lindsay with a big smile. I knew then that this was going to be a very positive experience. The rest of the staff was incredibly friendly, approachable, patient, and readily available to answer my questions. They made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer and a person and this is now my go-to store for all my vision issues. Blessie, who does the preliminary exam, took her time to explain the process and what was going to happen using the new technology, Dr. Small who was incredibly kind and patient, provided the best and by far the most thorough eye examination I've ever had and I'm pushing 80 and last but certainly not least there is the very patient Tim who helped me pick out two pair of glasses based on my color and financial preference from their fantastic selection of eyewear. I was never rushed nor was I pressured to buy anything. Actually, I was going to purchase three pair but Tim didn't think the third pair was needed and in hindsight he is correct. Was happy that the Feasterville location opened, as it is close to my house. I had always been happy with my experience at ForEyes as a long-time customer. Until this time. In picking out frames, Lamia continued to bring me frames that were not my style - even after I explained to her what I was looking for and showed her examples. Even worse, at one point she went out to smoke a cigarette, and came back REEKING, forcing me to be exposed to the toxic odor and chemicals coming from her. My pick up experience was even worse. An employee who had no idea what they (not sure of the gender) were doing, and made me stand there for several minutes while they just cluelessly kept typing stuff into the system - until finally an employee who knew what they were doing came up to rescue them, telling them that they could just let me go with the glasses and that they just needed to keep the paperwork. I am utterly disappointed in this year's eyeglass purchase experience, and questioning whether I will go back - which is sad, given the 40 years of me being a loyal customer of the For Eyes retail institution.

I had called prior to me coming in to explain how serious my situation was and to make sure that they can make immediate glasses. As I was speaking to the representative's I made it really clear of the type of things that I like in the business that I'm in. I picked a very expensive frame, Expecting my glasses to look decent when I pick them up. Instead what I received was something that looked like it was from my childhood way back in the 70s before advanced technology existed. I was told by one representative that because of my prescription that's what happened and that if I wanted thinner lenses I would've had to wait because they were in stock. I was on And an emergency trip to Pennsylvania on my way to Maryland and only an hour or so and there was no way in the world I could drive with my prescription. I paid over $300 for some of the worst looking glasses I have ever seen in my life. I'm disgusted and I want a refund immediately and I'm going to be contacting them today. Just terrible smiled in my face to get a sale and stabbed me behind my back with glasses that make me look like a reject from the movie Nerds.

The girl told me to wait and put them on the next day since I had been wearing my other glasses. I ignored that advice and put them on when I got home. After 4 hours of torture, I took them off. The next morning I tried again. I wore them for several hours, but had to change to my old prescription when I drove as the double vision made it unsafe. I called and was told to wear them for at least a week. I tried to explain how bad it was and that it was dangerous, but the sweet girl just kept saying, "I understand," and not inviting me to come in. After a couple more hours of hell, I looked closely at the lenses of my old vs new glasses and there was a definite difference. I called back, got another girl who this time gave me an appointment. When I arrived I got the same girl who helped me the previous day. She is the reason I am writing this review. Unfortunately, she never said her name. When I explained that I was having a serious problem seeing out of the glasses, her attitude became rude and dismissive. She said, "Weren't you just here yesterday?" in and angry tone. I explained how bad it was and tried to show her the difference in the lenses. I said, " There should be a prism in the lenses." She snapped at me, There IS a prism in them!" I held my ground while she searched her computer for what I do not know. She seemed intent on proving me wrong. I asked if there was a machine she could use to check the prescription and see if the prism was correct. She finally went back to look. Fortunately Glenn appeared at that point (if you go there, insist on having him help you with your glasses) after a while, she came back and told me Glenn said they were sending the glasses back to the lab. I asked if they had the prism in them and she replied (I kid you not!), "I don't know. I don't know how to check." The story has a happy ending. The glasses came back with obviously different lenses and I could instantly see out of them. I wore them driving home. But the way I was dismissed and disrespected has shaken my faith in this practice. I have had more glasses than years that girl has been alive. Eye glasses serve one purpose - to help you SEE. Brushing off a patient and telling them to wear glasses for "at least a week," is dangerous!

But Erin, who was fun as well as a total sweetheart, helped us with the different types of lens options,etc once he decided on a frame he liked. She also explained which frames could handle the lenses for his particular prescription which was pretty nice. Although he didn't get them that day, she had no issues with writing down estimates for the various lens formulas with the frames and even offered to call to the store nearest him to see if they had them in stock. Erin was awesome. I highly recommend seeing her if you are in the area.
