Usually new patient mumbo-jumbo is quite painful but the team at Lambertville Eye Associates made it easy like Sunday morning. I did my part and filled out their easy to access online new patient forms and with a scan of my insurance cards I was ready to see the doc! Dr. Daniels and his team were so helpful and covered all the p's & q's with getting my eyes back to great vision. I'm a part time glasses wearer but had some questions about contacts and they took the time to go over all the contact options with me and even gave me a lesson on how to put them in and take them out. When it came to new frames time, Marlon was my glasses guru and gave me the honest yes and Bo's when I tried on a million types of frames. He was very detailed in explaining my insurance coverage and I left with nearly no damage of personal out of pocket spending. Their office hours could be a little wonky and out of the norm for some but I made it work and it was worth it. I am excited that I finally have an eye doctor out on this coast and that is thanks to all at Lambertville Eye Associates.

Mr. Pone was more than accommodating, and we spent a long time searching together for frames that would be under my strict price point. He was very thorough in explaining my options, and he also offered a turn-around time that allowed me to pick up my sunglasses the day before my vacation. (I came in on a Thursday afternoon, and the glasses were ready for me to wear on Tuesday morning!) The process was impressively quick and easy to arrange. I left the store with a promise to call back that night with a decision (yes or no), and Mr. Pone called me back the next day confirming that he had placed the order and then requested my credit card information. So convenient! I was very pleased with my sunglasses when they arrived: a Juicy Couture brownish tortoise shell frame, and light brown lenses that fade to a pleasant reddish color. In the right light, it indeed looks like I have "rose-colored glasses"! And I've received tons of compliments! Well worth it! (I'm attaching a photo to this review.) Finally, a nice touch: a week after purchasing my sunglasses, I received a handwritten thank you note in the mail from the optician's office. It was very kind gesture, and it included a 10% coupon for a future purchase. How thoughtful! Very satisfied!

Be aware that there seems to be a strong focus on performing and charging for a refraction/eyeglass prescription exam even when it is not needed. In addition, your actual eye issues may not be thoroughly evaluated. I went to this practice because I was experiencing an eye issue and needed a medical evaluation. I specifically explained that I did not need a new eyeglass prescription because I had already received one earlier this year and wanted my actual eye problem evaluated. Unfortunately, Dr. Ritterbusch did not really listen to my description of the issue, nor was any meaningful evaluation or diagnosis performed regarding the concern I came in for. Instead, the appointment mainly consisted of a routine eye exam and a new eyeglass prescription. I ended up having to pay for a completed unneeded glass prescription in addition to the medical exam copay. And my actual eye issue was never properly addressed. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this doctor or practice.
