The best Tostadas location by far. To start off, the service was wonderful. Staff was very helpful and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. We came here on a Saturday morning, 11am and was surprised there was no wait. We got seated immediately in the dining room to the right and was served chips and salsa and water right away. The green salsa was delicious, and a little on the spicy side. Ambiance is nice and cozy, definitely a great spot to get some Instagram worthy photos. We ordered the cafe de olla(cinnamon coffee), california benedict, cubano, and one pancake. Everything was delicious. Stars of the show were the huge cubano with crispy fries and the buttery pancake. Perhaps the service has good and bad days, and I happen to be lucky to come on a good day. + We were seated at the booth which was nice because the music was loud, but not too loud. We ordered the + Birria tostada. Man this thing is huge!!! But it's constructed really well because they put the fried cheese at the bottom so that the tostada doesn't get soggy from the juicy Birria meat. I loved the pickled veggies toppings. I definitely only ate one because they pile on the meat!! It also comes with a lentil soup on the side which was sooo satisfying! + Enchiladas. They don't mess around here!! The red sauce was super flavorful! + complimentary salsa and chips. I did not expect this to have a little spice, but it was a pleasant surprise! This is an authentic Mexican restaurant that replaced the former MaMa Mia's long time establishment. I love the location and the food is very good. The sauces though are very hot and spicy for my gringo taste buds with no milder alternatives. The meal came with a few very large corn chips and a few generous servings of sauces. We wished they were a little milder especially the one with creamy avocado. But the shrimp tacos and chicken enchiladas were excellent. The decor was interesting with lots of contrast and bold original artwork even in the restrooms. Salsa music loudly played, maybe a little too much unless you were drinking and dancing. We ordered the: Esquites (corn in a cup) -- love corn so I rly enjoyed this! Queso fundito (reminds me of something similar to an empanada) Birria tacos (3) -- meat was tender and soft! I liked it more than the shrimp taco. Came with a large serving of consommé. Shrimp tacos (3) -- my friends didn't like this because of the batter. It was way to heavy and thick. The cabbage didn't have enough flavor and it was seriously lacking something to make it taste good. I thought it was decent and still ate it lol. Maybe add some guac or more chipotle aioli? Portion was generous tho! Sad that they don't do a surf and turf taco. They have it in quesadilla form so why not??! Happy hour so it was $16 for 2 margaritas. But The servers were nice and they turned down the music a bit for us. So the food is a hit or miss. The "nachos" they give us in the beginning were a bit stale but we were hungry and ate it anyway. But the salsa verde was on point. We got the biria beef and it was amazing!! But the rice and beans were so bland, we completely X'd that out immediately. We also got the biria burger which was good. They give tons of meat but man it can definitely give you a heart attack. Their fries that came with it were not consistent. Some fries were too soft and soggy while others were nice and crispy. Three days ago, Tostadas at 200 E Hamilton Ave, Campbell, CA 95008 opened up. Prior to this, an Italian restaurant was at this location. This Tostadas is the fourth of the chain, and let me tell you, they spared no expense to make this restaurant absolutely fantastic looking. The interior has been completely remodeled (see photos), while it is an upscaled restaurant, families are welcomed. It does have a great looking full bar and can easily handle a larger group. The restaurants inside and out were spotlessly clean. All the employees are dressed uniformly and work as a team to serve the customer. One thing that impressed me is that they use paper straws for their drinks. I walked around and looked at the amazing dishes being served. What I liked about the menu was how many choices you had. You could order a hamburger or a Juevos Ranchero, which is what I got, along with a watermelon, aqua fresca. What I had was prepared a little differently than others I have had, but overall, it was fabulous! The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the rice and beans were perfect. The dark red sauce was a little spicy, but I really liked it. The chips were like a mini tostada served with a green and orange sauce. Overall, it was an excellent, well prepared meal. The drink tasted fresh made. Prices are moderate, but honestly, for the service, food quality, and atmosphere, it's worth it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant.
