Went here for a Sunday brunch. Absolutely phenomenal. Was able to get a seat immediately. Friendly staff. They give you some tostada shells with some incredible salsa. Ordered the California Benedict which was top notch. My fiancé ordered the carnitas skillet which was amazing. Best brunch spot in the area. I was hesitant to write this review because I always like keeping hidden gems to myself as I am concerned this review is will blow this spot up to a Bill's level and I won't be able to get a seat for 2 hours. We have been looking forward to this restaurant opening in Campbell for months, WHAT A DISAPOINTMENT!! The background music was so loud, we had trouble talking. We were taking to a table in a back room full of large family parties that were very loud, we asked to be moved to another area. MY wife ordered the shrimp tacos and I ordered the Chile Rellenos, my food was delivered but my wife's was not because the cooks messed up her tacos and the waitress said they were making new ones. After 10 minutes, we asked about her food and was told that they were working on it. After 5 more minutes, we flagged down one of the managers and asked him what was taking so long to get her food. He had to go to the kitchen and came back and said that her food was coming. The rice and beans that came with my Rellenos was cold so he brought a new plate which was hot. Where do I start? I am a business owner in the area and decided to take my staff here for dinner. We were graciously greeted by the manager Jose. He sat us at our table and introduced us to our server Jorge. They engaged us from the time we sat down for our meal to the time we left. I was impressed by the dinner menu and drinks. We all ordered various dishes, and everything was excellent!! Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the portions were enough for two people. I have a restaurant in Boston and wish my staff was as attentive as Jose and his staff. It is very hair to find a restaurant that checks all of my boxes like Tostadas Doe.s Today marked my 3rd trip to Tostadas in two weeks, and I am hooked. This place is overrated and service is awful. We were told our table was already set and would be ready once our whole party arrived. Once our whole party was present, the server told us our table was NOT ready yet and sat another couple that walked in after our party had already waited 15 minutes. The elote was over sauced with what tasted like mayo. Fajitas tasted bland and had no flavor. Drinks didn't have much alcohol and too sweet. Place overpriced and just not worth it. Today I have experience the worst customer service. I have never waited so long for my order and the lack of communication between the servers. I went to take my best friend for her graduation from San Jose state and to celebrate her birthday today. I order appetizers before are main course and we still were waiting for are food 45 minutes after. I left with my group due to that three servers would come and tell us what else are we waiting for and we haven't received are food. It was very upsetting and the restaurant wasn't even busy. I have gone to the tostadas on San Carlos street, San Jose and the tostadas prime at Santa Clara and those places were busy and I have not experience at those locations such poor service like today at the Hamilton Ave , Campbell location. So I ended up ordering the TOSTADAS RANCHERAS The Paloma was Alright. Couldn't really taste the tequila in it but whatever. The Cajun shrimp plate was a solid 6/10 it's was very much dry and it lacked real Cajun flavor. The potatoes and corns were very bland I had to add extra salt and pepper and lime to make it taste better. What was supposed to be my " TOSTADAS RANCHERAS" turned out being huevos rancheros lol. Not to mention the egg looked like they had literally just cracked it uncooked on top of the tostada. I was very disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying their tostadas because after all it is called "the home of the tostada" right ? Food is good, but service is slow. Wait to be seated for me was 40 min, another 40 min to get our order taken and 35 min to get your food. Don't check up on table enough either. When my food arrived it was barely warm, I asked for it to be warmed up and took like 25 min to get my plate back. I wanted to like this place.. It s convenient to my office and I have been eating at other restaurants in this building since the 1970's. I know they have only been open a week, but they need to fix the service. I went in at Noon today (Saturday) and was greeted and seated immediately... then I waited, and waited.. and no server came to assist. Several of them walked past me. I could see some of them standing in the back, but no one came to my table. After 10-15 minutes of waiting, I just left! From the other reviews, this seems to be a chronic problem. Had a great experience visiting this Tostadas location today 5/8/23! It was only their first week of operation so there was definitely a few bumps in the road service wise, but nothing that greatly altered our experience. Every single employee we interacted with was so kind and seemed very well trained. The food was A++ (as usual for Tostadas). I'm so excited Campbell got a cool and exciting place to eat finally!! I am so furious that I wasted my Sunday morning here. The service is extremely rude. We asked the server if they oat milk for our coffee and he ended giving us whole milk, despite of being very clear ( which obviously he wasn't paying attention) I am extremely allergic to lactose even after telling specifically oat milk. When I asked the server again to make sure hey is this oat milk of whole milk they f** guy said 'what do you want now, I have other tables to serve as well' and the place was not even that crowded! this is the most rude server I have seen in my life , I didn't want to make others in the group uncomfortable and so I kept quite but had it been just me and my husband I would have walked out right away. This server is one tall with thick Mexican accent. It is their job to be sensitive towards customers allergies and make sure they are comfortable and sure of what they are getting and be patient answering questions. This server had none. The place had dirty cutlery, the place smelled, the food was pathetic, I have been a fair amount of good brunch place and you know when it's fresh ingredients rather than whip up something back door from a frozen pantry. This was frozen pantry food!! There was zero tip for the server and never going back or suggesting this place to anyone. Water my money my time and left feeling furious. read more

I wanted to give a 5 star being this was my first time and my boyfriends second but first time at this location. Everything was absolutely delicious, the food was amazing and the time for the food to get out to us was fairly quick. Our server was WENDY! She was super sweet and always had a recommendation when it came to choosing drinks or food. She didn't rush us and always made sure we had what we needed. The reason I have a 4 star is because of the wait in the beginning, we walked in told the front host party for 2 and they said a 5 min wait. And then it became a ten min wait. I know it's Mother's Day and it can get busy. They had plenty of booths available however they were not bussed or cleaned yet. So they offered us a two people table which was totally fine and I actually like it better than a booth. From there we waited and waited for someone to come offer a drink menu or at least water. I had to wave down the server after waiting almost 15 min. And then after our server was able to get to us we had excellent service from there. I would say just give the customer a realistic wait time that way they know if they wanna stay or come back later. Thankyou tostadas Campbell food was amazing and our waitress was excellent!! We will be coming back for more. One a side not my boyfriend went to the downtown location for his first time and loved the energy there...he did comment that the energy isn't the same at Campbell but again the food compensated for it all! read more

I am extremely happy with this new location opening up! I've been a fan of the other locations and this one did not disappoint. The ambience was phenomenal. The host greeted us and sat us down right away. I came for the breakfast menu and it seemed to have more selection. Vegan friendly and the server took my my dietary restrictions into consideration, which was great! Thank you Tanya! The food came fairly quickly and was excellent. The SERVICE WAS AMAZING. We live close by, we arrived, and no one came to greet us for about 10 min. Finally, a sweet hostess came and greeted us. She said it would be about 15 min wait. No biggy. We wanted to try this place as it's close and it's new! I'm gonna cut this review in half and just say. The employees had no idea what was going on, granted it's new they just opened. They just looked lost. No one came to ask if we wanted water or if we wanted to order for about 20 min after being seated. I'm in the industry, and this is completely unacceptable. The food was not good, and our order was messed up. We were too hungry to complain. Unfortunately, this experience ruined it for me. Not to mention, the cops being called something happen outside, a fight I wanna say with customers. I hope they step up their game and get a good manager who can run this place right. I'd suggest more training for the employees. I don't ever write bad reviews.... I try to give everyone a chance. But this was a horrible experience. the restaurant it's self is beautiful. read more
