First thing I noticed was how ridiculously expensive it has gotten for simple cafe food . I understand that it is near a college so it's a good opportunity to make money however I think it is ridiculous that I had to pay 12 something for pasta with mozzarella cheese ...that almost cost as much as eating at a chain restaurant. I've gotten burgers from this place twice and every time they construct the burger in the dumbest way possible , they put the cheese underneath the lettuce and tomato so the cheese never melts...pretty much my burger ends up being a mess to eat cause things are placed poorly so everything ends up falling out. The bacon was really hard and dry . I paid 8 dollars for a dry burger with no fries. I go to queens college so I try to give this place a try even after numerous bad experiences but never again . The manager of this place is NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL AND down right RUDE. I place an big order over $20.00 and they made a mistake on one of the ice coffees . I wasn't mean or pushy just simply stated the mistake. I ask if they can resend the coffee or what are my options . The manager first tells me he can't and I will have to repay for a new coffee to be sent ! Now I understand it delivery this is why its important to make sure delivery orders are done PROPERLY AND CORRECTLY to avoid wasted time and effort. I will not be ordering from this place again. The only reason why this place doesn't follow the "Customer's always right" policy because they little to no competition for a cafe that orders and delivers in my job radius! I really LOVE this place!! Everything from salads to wraps, and even the smoothies!! It's all great! Never had a problem! It's very clean inside the place, and the staff are all nice, friendly, and helpful! Most food taste good and fresh, especially salad. I won't say their food are the best, but they are good enough in this area. Also, they have variety of food, such as burrito, nacho, quesadilla, bagel, bufflo chicken wings, pasta, sandwich, different desert, beverages, etc. Their price may not be very cheap, but it's reasonable, and the most important thing is that the portion is biiiiig ! read more

I had no idea this place was open and in my area until I randomly found them on seamless looking for something different than my usual options. I got a philly cheesesteak deluxe with fries. I asked them to put the lettuce and totmatoes on the side and they complied. My order arrived quickly. I ordered extra cheese but there didn't seem to be any more cheese than usual. I just going to assume most of it melted. The food was good enough and I would probably order from here again but I'm not exactly dying to go back already. i love this place. ive ordered from tost for approximately 2 years now and i love it! delivery is right on time 9 out of 10 times and the delivery people are always pleasant. the food is OUTRAGEOUS! ive ordered their breakfasts and have not been disappointed. for dinner ive ordered their chicken burrito bowls and they are to die for! also they make amazing rice pudding, fruit smoothies and heavenly lattes (hot and iced!) and their pasta is very tasty - especially their penne a la vodka. i know, i know. youre asking yourself right about now "pasta from a diner!???" I have ordered from Tost and every single time my order comes wrong and then to wait for my correct order I have to wait longer then what it should be to get what I wanted. Today I have waiting over an hour to just get coffee that I wanted to changed to be fixed. I was given an attitude from a worker there for just wanting to get what I wanted. Customer Service right? Food is brought into the shops by their van. They place all food on the van floor which looks pretty dirty! No refrigeration whatsoever! The soup is put in big white paint buckets and covered with a plastic film. It's not sanitary and I am sure it's against the law to transport food like that! I would give this place zero stars if I had the option to. So I would order frequently from this place and they mostly got my orders wrong. But the last time I ordered from here was my absolute last time. I ordered breakfast for my nephews and one wanted pancakes with bacon. So they forget the bacon which I paid for and I called to tell them. They were extremely rude and gave me a one hour wait time for a few pieces of bacon to get delivered. Never again with this place. Worst customer service, ordered a salad and it was delivered without chicken. Called them and was told they would deliver the chicken breast. I made them aware that I did not have the time on my lunch break but they would give me a 1.99 back. I made the woman aware that was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I'm not eating a salad with the main ingredient missing, she claimed no supervisor was there and I would need to call back tomorrow. I LOVE THEIR FOOD!!!!!!!! this place has SOOO much potential because of their location, decent prices, fast delivery and fresh amazing food. It has some flaws like one time the delivery guy took well over an hour and a half to get to me (I live 5 mins away) because he showed up drunk and forgot our sodas-I KID YOU NOT. but i assume they fired him, that was one bad egg out of the entire great staff... If they just fixed their flaws they could really get 5 stars easily. Getting Breakfast in Flushing is usually a hit or miss proposition. If you do takeout the food is usually cold and soggy. If you decide to get up and drive to the diner, you have to deal with crowds on weekends and wait to be seated. Diner food comes in big portions but is often bland. With Tost Cafe you get to stay home without having to sacrifice taste or quality. We ordered the Healthy Omelet (egg whites, spinach and mushrooms), Two over easy eggs with turkey bacon and scrambled eggs with bacon. Each order came with home fries and toast. We also ordered a coffee, a latte with caramel and a large unsweetened iced tea. You may think packaging in a delivery order is not important but it is. They delivered the order in one tightly packed plastic bag that had no leaks. One brown paper bag contained the breakfast meals, another the drinks and the last bag contained the cutlery. I say cutlery because the plastic fork and knives were the heavy large type not the wimpy small white ones you get with Chinese takeout. We got four large napkins--not the tiny wet-on-arrival stack you usually get. The drinks were each wrapped in in saran wrap to prevent leaking. The breakfast meals were packed in small aluminum containers with plastic lids so you could easily make out each order. Because the trays were shallower the food did not slosh around and remained separate. The portions were decent and most importantly, hot. The eggs were well cooked and as advertised (over easy eggs are often flattened and don't have the soft covered yoke.) The bacon strips were full crisp strips not the shriveled burnt number you get from take out. The toasts were each labeled in their own aluminum foil. They were well buttered, likely pressed, as they had grill marks on them, and a little soft (but that is almost impossible to avoid when you package toast). I often skip the home fries as I am not a potato guy but when I do eat them they are often too soggy or have a funny taste from the seasoning. Tost's home fries were delicious!--well-seasoned with just the right amount of softness. My daughter didn't care for the caramel flavoring in the iced latte but the coffee and the unsweetened iced tea were very good. This is the best take out breakfast I ever had and tastes better than most diners. read more

So disappointed with this place!!! I loved getting food from this place until they changed management. It is no longer tozt cafe its called Q cafe now. After 5 different chance I have decided I will never give them my money. Ive gotten frozen chicken when I ordered a salad. When I called to let me know the chicken is cold. There response is you didn't asks us to warm it up. Really!!!! I've gotten watered down "smoothies" sandwiches missing either bacon, ham or whatever the menu says is not what I received. Enough is enough. The only reason why I kept giving them chance after chance is because they were once an excellent place to get food. Today I ordered a text a Mex toast with no guacamole no ranch or bacon!!!! I called to complain and was put on hold only for the the lady to tell me, he said he put the bacon in the sandwich! I have the damn sandwich in my had I know I'm not going crazy. I asked for another sandwich which now I wish I didnt for all I know it could have spit in it. I just don't get it it.
