Handmade tortillas, rice maccarony salad and aguacate lime and a spicy vinagreta soy e delicious. The only reason am not giving them 5 stars is because the soup did not have but three pieces of carrots and a very small cut of potato. Very small joint so don't spect a red carpet.

So glad my boyfriend and I found this spot on a whim because this is now our favorite local go-to…read morespot for tacos!! While on the pricier side, you definitely pay for quality. From the fresh tortillas to the tender meats, you really cannot go wrong for paying just a littleeee bit more for something you know for a fact you will enjoy!! Appreciated the self-serve order kiosks which allowed for a fast and easy ordering process! After placing our order and finding a place to sit, we received our food about 10 min later. Loved loved loved everything we ordered EXCEPT the beer battered fish taco. Very bland even with the sauce and slaw that came with it. For sure a pass on that one for next time. However, the stars of the show were of course their street tacos! Carnitas, asada, al pastor, you name it. It was delicious and reminded me so much of the tacos I got when I was in Mexico. Didn't try their agua frescas this time but will do during our next visit!

The staff is always incredibly friendly, the restaurant is clean with plenty of seating, and the food is consistently amazing. The tortillas are made in house, the salsas are the perfect finishing touch, and I genuinely haven't had a single thing on the menu that I didn't enjoy. The tamales are AMAZING. The fish tacos are perfect. And the beans? Chef's kiss. Honestly, even the sides deserve their own review. You can taste the time, care, and effort that goes into making everything from scratch, and the prices absolutely reflect the quality while still feeling very fair. This has become one of those places you don't just try once. You go back often. And we definitely do!

Pollos Asados is a hidden gem, I especially like their Pollo Entero - for $25 it's a great family…read moredinner takeout option; which includes a very flavorful, mesquite smoked whole chicken, a bunch of homemade tortillas, grilled serrano peppers, salsa and hearty pinto beans (cooked in some of the chicken drippings). It's a lot of bang for you buck, but worth noting that the grilled chicken is excellent. Don't order via doordash, they'll double the cost of everything - just call the restaurant directly. Also like their birria pizza - whenever we have to feed a crowd (school potluck, hosting a large party, etc) this place is a great way to go.

I opted for a Super Burrito de Pollo at Don Rafa prior to their cutoff/closing time. Their burrito did not disappoint! I loved the way it was wrapped securely and grilled to perfection. Though this spot is known for their chicken, I didn't really experience anything unique about this wrapped meal. It was delicious and tasted how it should be, but I was hoping the "star" of this meal would be their chicken. I ate my burrito immediately and it was served at a decent temp. Perhaps, I'll give Don Rafa a 2nd chance and order a half (or whole chicken). The Birria Pizza looked appetizing as well. Don Rafa is located inside of the Food Barn Market and reminds me of a Latino version of a Pacific Supermarket. The restaurant appears somewhat modern, tidy and spacious, while the rest of the market area seems outdated.
