Came here for brunch and found the food to be decent. It didn't really blow me away or impress me that much. I think the price of the dishes was good but they also reflect the quality of the food that you get. The drink I ordered was pretty strong though which I was happy about lol. The service was great and attentive. We chose to sit outside since it was good weather but probably would have preferred inside since there were a couple of mosquitoes and there was no wind so the air felt kind of stale. On a Wednesday without reservations my friend and I were seated at the bar immediately. Passed menus and water, the staff asked if we had any questions. The menu was pretty simple apps, entrees and sides on one side, drinks and cocktails on the other. We ordered: - Empanadas $15 choice of chicken, pork or beef: potato, sweet peppers, anion, salsa verde cruda, salsa endiablada. We chose beef and were happy with our choice, the shell was crispy and slightly flaky while retaining juicy flavor inside. Solid app. Of the sauces the red one had a little kick, the green one was a little sweeter. - California Bowl $16: corn, avocado, queso fresco, cherry tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, jicama, red onion, ranch dressing, served in an edible taco bowl. My friend has this and I didn't try it. - Shrimp Tacos $22: tempura shrimp, refried beans, pepper jack cheese, coleslaw, chile de arbol aioli. The tacos were kinda mid, the tempura shrimp were cooked ok though not great; there were sufficient toppings included though the spiciness of the aioli (which came drizzled on top) blew out the flavor of everything else. Half of my table partook (I did not), and I had the burrito. - Chicken Burrito Loco, (2.5/5): not exactly my favorite burrito... the chicken was dry, the burrito was primarily dry potato, and the whole burrito was lacking in flavor. Was in the neighborhood with 4 kids. We were seated right away in the back. but OMG it was so damn dark we had to use flashlights to look at the menu that already left a bad taste in my mouth. Two kids ordered quesadillas another just rice and beans the teenager got a steak burrito which she said was good. My husband orders steak tacos they were so small like tapas. I got the nachos with chicken they were an 8 out of 10. I got a margarita didn't love it so didn't get another . There was a sign as us about FREE churros it ended up being once you leave a google review you got free churros. Talk about putting you in a spot. So I let my husband do it since im a YELP girl lol Wr had two extra adults meet us last minute. the tables next to us where empty not sure why they didn't just add the tables and had us all squeeze in which was a bit annoying especially since they also orders food. I came down here last night because I thought it would be a good time to have Mexican food--it was Cinco de Mayo and all; however, it was a horrible time to have Mexican food. The host said the wait would be at least four hours! "Four hours? Holy shit!" I decided to go home and come back to celebrate Seis de Mayo. I'm so glad I came back. The food here is wonderful. The waiter and others are extremely good, and amazing people. I don't drink much, but my date had a drink and she loved it. The food portions are huge, so be prepared to take some home for lunch tomorrow. This is by far the best place I've found in the new neighborhood. I can't wait to come back. read more

We visited on a Saturday around 4 - the cool thing about this place is that they have their bottomless brunch drink option available until 5 pm on the weekends (we did not partake but just fyi) - the downfall to this is that it is incredibly loud during this time. While the music was good, the volume really could have been turned down a notch. The margaritas here are solid. The nachos are good but definitely not the best I've had, the Cauliflower Tacos were decent but needed more flavor, and I think my favorite item of the meal was the Veggie Empanadas. Prices are reasonable, but I think the overall feedback I would give is less noise, more flavor! read more

This is one of my most favorite restaurants in nyc. I liveeee for the nachos, if there is anything that is a must have here that would be my vote. Each time Ive come the service has been fast and everyone has been super accommodating. Even sitting at the bar is a blast and sometimes even better than the tables, my only issue is how close you have to sit next to other customers when at the table.
