Toriyama located inside Don Don Donki in Kapolei. Serving Japanese cuisine. Their specialties include Ramen, Udon, and several Rice plates. You ordered from the iPads at the front counter. You pick up your order from the end of the counter. We tried the Original Ramen and Mayo Ribs. The ramen was delicious served with thin noodles, pork, and a savory broth. The ribs were delicious . Grilled ribs with a slightly smoky flavor drizzled with Japanese mayonnaise served with rice on a bed of spinach. Definitely a cravable dish .

How many styles of ribs? I was leaving the Don Don Donki Market with everything I needed to make dinner when I saw this place. And sure enough when I saw ribs, I knew I wasn't making dinner. The kiosk was simple to use. Nice visual display with large button. And you couldn't move forward till you got all your options decided. I got the yakiniku ribs and gyoza. The ribs cuts were larger than what I expected. I was expecting Korean style thin cuts but these came out Good Old thick American style. Ooh and here their pork ribs. The ribs came with a slightly glaze sauce and a side of rice. I also got side order of gyozas. Eight pieces for $9.25. They were ok and the ponzu added a nice tangy flavor. Overall four stars. The ribs were a tad tough but flavor was there and decent portion of ribs. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture. Would I come again? Yes M

Located in the Don Don Donki food court, Toriyama serves solid ramen, udon and rice bowls that are simple but excel at the basics. There was only 1 chef/worker when we stopped by on a Sat early evening but the food didn't take too long. Ordering is all self-service through a kiosk. Their ramen menu has their largest selection and we tried their garlic ramen. Good flavored soup with thick noodles. Also tried their shrimp tempura udon, which had good soup and noodles but a run of the mill tempura. Still, definitely worth a quick stop if you're hungry when leaving.

Toriyama is a convenient little gem tucked inside Don Don Donki in Kapolei. We stopped by for a quick bite and tried the Wagyu Donburi and Shrimp Tempura. The wagyu was flavorful, with a nice ginger-forward marinade that came through well. However, the cut of meat wasn't quite what I expected, it was more like thick-cut smoked meat. I would have preferred it sliced thinner, similar to what you'd get at a yakiniku or KBBQ spot. Adding an egg would've elevated it even more...I don't remember seeing it on the menu but I wish that was an option! The shrimp tempura was light, crispy, and not greasy. Ordering is super easy and fast with their self-service iPad system at the counter. Aside from donburi and tempura, they also offer udon, ramen, and gyoza, which we'll have to try next time. Toriyama is a good, quick stop for a satisfying meal with efficient service.

$20 ramen

Food here is not good, and the price is insane expansive. I ordered ramen here, the soup is very salty. Not recommended!

Garlic miso ramen

Located inside Donki in the food court. I got the garlic miso Wagyu ramen. Wagyu was thinly cut that cooked in the soup. It was nice and tender. Noodles was on the al dente side which I liked. Soup was excellent!

Food was great and got the price you get 2 pieces for most of the sushi but their sets are the best combo! This 4 piece ahi set was under $17 and you get 3 different cuts plus a maki sushi. Prices range from $3-$10 for sushi but they also have mini and regular poke bowls which are a good deal as they give a generous amount. Service is great too. Not too much staff but the food always came out fast and they were attentive filling up our waters. Lots of parking too since it's inside the Don Don Donki (former Kmart). Inside is also clean and their storage to put your bags which i really appreciate especially after buying groceries. Overall would recommend if you're looking for Japanese style sushi.

We arrived right at opening (11:00 AM), and there were already a few parties waiting, which felt like a good sign. We were seated immediately, and the staff was friendly and attentive from the start. Our server quickly brought over water, wasabi and shoyu dishes, along with kiddie plates and utensils, which we appreciated. Ordering was easy -- you can either use the tablet at the table or scan the QR code with your phone. The food came out fast via conveyor belt, and the kids loved the fun semi-self-service sushi experience. The portions were generous overall. I'm a huge uni lover, so I was a little disappointed that the uni gunkan wasn't as full as I had hoped, but everything else was solid. The standout for me was definitely the chawanmushi -- I was pleasantly surprised to find scallops inside. It was rich, savory, and packed with umami. The poke bowl was also huge -- definitely big enough to share so you can save room to try other dishes. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back if we're in the area again. In my opinion, the quality was noticeably better than Genki Sushi and worth the higher price!

We've been twice now, and it's officially a must-visit every time we're on the island. It's a true hole-in-the-wall spot! nothing flashy, but don't let that fool you. The sushi is phenomenal. Every roll we've tried has been consistently amazing, and the rice is perfect (which honestly makes all the difference). You can immediately tell how fresh the fish is! everything tastes clean, high quality, and thoughtfully prepared. I've even ordered rolls to go, and they hold up so well. The staff is another highlight, so kind, welcoming, and genuinely sweet. It adds to that feeling like you stumbled onto a local favorite rather than a tourist stop. Seating is a little limited, so just be prepared. There are a few small booths, but most of the seating is along the sushi bar. Totally worth it though. Mid food court quality food. With exception to the pork tenderloin used in the "traditional" katsudon (fried katsu is added directly to a soup base with onions and eggs), the regular cuts of pork, seem to be pork shoulder with fat and connective tissue. Additionally, while the pork is still moist, it is not pre-cooked like before. Cooking the thick pieces from raw results in an oily, very dark coating. Finally, the frying oil is breaking down. It imparts a bitter, oxidized flavor to the katsu. Portions remain large and reasonable for the price but like all the other offerings from Don Quijote and Times, what started off strong is now just caloric sustenance.

Had a long wait since there were six of us, even though we said we would split up into two tables. I understand waiting is common at this loc. Menu is great like most Japanese restaurants because it has pictures of the dishes. Got the croquettes with curry sauce and rice as daughter recommended. Was delicious! Curry sauce - I ordered mild - was very good. Food came relatively quickly but not immediately. Croquettes were just tasty mashed potatoes and the crispy breading was great. Didn't eat much rice since there that so much starch/carbs sincei was saving room for popcorn later but the rice was also very good. One friend had curry udon and a piece of katsu from her husband's meal. She said that's what she usually gets (she is a noodle fan). I would actually come back to try other dishes now that I've tasted the curry sauce if I can figure out how to avoid long waits. Not sure that's possible but I plan to try.
