Wasn't planning on eating here but the kimbap place across the street was closed so decided to check out inside hmart and use their restroom while we drove into town. Was a bit hesitant because hmart was packed albeit evey one had a mask but there were just too many people crammed in there plus many weren't eating in a mask. We aren't used to that being from Austin and covid numbers aren't as high as Dallas. But after looking around for food our family decided to split up and try our faves. My son wanted fried chicken here and my hubs and daughter got kimbap. While my other 2 got food elsewhere. I shared with all of them here. The fried chicken took 20minutes but we grabbed our kimbap and ate in the car. Some were fresher than others. Rice was hard on some. It was still good. I went to pick up our fried chicken and the nice older lady who owns it i believe gave me sauce on the side as I requested to go. She gave me both the spicy and garlic. So nice. It was in this cute box and 14 pieces for $12.99 was a great deal. Small pieces of fresh fried chicken. Enjoyed it. But sauce on the side may not have been as good. The garlic was good just on the sweeter side and the spicy is hot lol but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Will be back next time we are here. Only reason it got 3 Stars was not really for taste even though some kimbap werent fresh but more because just how packed the eating area was. Felt unsafe. No social distancing at all. Otherwise I would give 4 stars for the food and nice lady.

I was so excited to see a Tore Ore here in Carrolton - Loved the one at the hmart in Johns Creek but it ended up going out of business. I think the biggest pro to this Tore Ore is their price. In an era where KFCs are priced anywhere to $25-$30 for one chicken, they are only $14 for one whole chicken!! I don't know how they stay in business with these cheap prices.. Especially with all the price in chicken these past few years! Taste wise -- they don't exactly taste like the Tore Ore back in Korea, but it's $14. It's bang for your buck. My personal favorites are the garlic chicken and the fried seasoned chicken. The taste is honestly more like 3.5 stars, but I'm bumping it up to 4 because of the value. Also -- the cashier lady (Korean) is always super sweet, so that's a plus.

I tore this place apart.

This place Tore-ore me a new one because I hadn't tried them yet, I just always eat at Dumpling when I'm inside this H-Mart. Finally I tried them on my most recent trip to DFW and it was worth the wait! Yumm. This is a pretty awesome Fried Chicken stand serving up the Korean specialty inside the excellent H Mart Plaza at Carrollton. The regular version is a little bland, but the Marinaded version is awesome. And pretty good value. H-Mart is a gem for food, for sure. They have the best Dumpling House ever in here but if you want to change it up they have pretty damn good Korean Fried Chicken here as well. I enjoyed it and so will you if you are a big fan of Korean chicken. Good standards and pretty good prices. Definitely cheaper than some of the sit-down restaurants serving Korean chicken which is often inferior. Not as great as Lim's in Houston but still very good. Long wait times can be a problem, but the Marinaded Chicken is worth the wait. And it's also worth the weight - that this sort of food will cause you to put on.

2 rolls Gogi Kimbap, small tteokbokki, garlic plus chicken

Really great food and they make the food once you order it. We ordered 2 rolls of Gogi kimbap, small tteokbokki, and garlic plus chicken. We also received some sweet vinegar radishes as a side which paired nicely with the greasy food. The chicken's flavor was delicious. We did takeout so it wasn't really crispy by the time we ate it but the smell was amazing. I'm sure it was perfect when it first came out. I loved the tteokbokki sauce. It wasn't too spicy and was more on the Unami/fish flavor with sweetness. It was a great pairing with the kimbap. I'll definitely be back for some more. Definitely give it a try if you're inside Hmart!

Spicy and garlic plus

I love this place so much. It does take forever to get your food but it's always consistent and reeeeally good. The spicy chicken makes me cry so beware, for the faint of heart, garlic plus is the way to go. Their sauceless fried chicken alone is so flavorful. The sweet and sour had a strong tomato flavor so I wasn't a fan. You can get two flavors to a box and it's usually $18ish unless there's a deal going on. I've been here a dozen times and it's super consistent. You get crunchy, sweet, pickled daikon cubes with every order. They have a lot of other menu items like kimbap and some fried appetizers but I always fill myself up with the chicken

This is based off of the spicy garlic fried chicken wings only. But holy crapola! Were they delicious or what?! The garlic sauce was sticky and FULL OF SWEET & SPICY FLAVOR! YEP! o.O We love some fried chicken every once in a blue moon so we'll TOTALLY be coming back to Toreore! Pro Tip: Not a bad deal for the 14-pc. family meal @ $12.99 (limited time).

Top half is regular fried chicken and bottom half is hot and spicy fried chicken!

Located inside H-mart, Toreore is a great place to try out some KFC. They have a nice 14 piece chicken special for only $12.99. Be warned that it does take about 20 minutes for them to prepare your meal, so make sure to do some shopping at H-mart while you wait. I got the 14 piece chicken special with half hot and spicy fried chicken and half regular fried chicken. The regular fried chicken was not very well seasoned, but the chicken was quite juicy. However, the hot and spicy fried chicken was amazing! There is a burst of flavor that comes into your mouth when you eat it, and the sauce is very savory. Toreore also provides you with some nice gloves so you can eat the chicken without getting your hands messy. Honestly, if you are in H-mart, I highly recommend trying out Toreore for a great casual dining experience with some amazing KFC!

Good service. Fresh food, quick to get your food. I ordered the fried chicken wings and it came out juicy, soo good. The plate also came with side dishes, soup and rice. It was fullfiling.

My first time eating KFC. Although, one of my best friends growing up, who is Korean says I've had her mother's fried chicken before. I don't remember it. Anyway, husband got the regular and spicy. Good flavor, but it's kind of interesting. I can't pick out what that taste is. I want to say peanut butter, but I know it's not it.. You get gloves for the spicy chicken. Think I'll explore this place more and check out some KFC restaurants in Dallas.

It's a stand inside H-mart

Toreore is fried chicken with an Asian twist. They're located INSIDE H-mart at the food court. I had the garlic flavored fried chicken and it came out pipping hot. You should expect to wait about 5-10 minutes for it though. Overall it was good, but next time I'll be going back to Bubba's for my fried chicken.

The cooking is so so. Not very tasty. I would suggest try other stores. Very friendly folks. Unfortunately, the dishes are not impressive.

Try the yangyum chicken! It's sweet, spicy and delicious. These are not buffalo wings, Korean Fried Chicken is its own thing.

There's nothing better on a chilly, rainy afternoon than a warm, nourishing bowl of soup. In this…read morecase, it was soondubu at Cho Dang Village. Before the main event, we got the seafood & green onion pancake. Crispy on the outside and reasonably chewy interior. Good amount of seafood; in particular, the oyster stood out. It was also a nice portion that was ideal for sharing. I opted for the seafood soondubu. Everything, from the banchan to the specific side dishes served with the soondubu, came out not too long after ordering. I got it at spice level three which I thought offered the right amount of kick without being too overwhelming (I also like to think I have a pretty strong spice tolerance). It had a good variety of seafood; namely, the shrimp and oyster. I'm not the biggest fan of clams but they were definitely still tasty. The tofu was soft and silky. The yellow croaker and rice were great supplements to the dish. The rice perfectly absorbed the broth. The croaker added a nice crunchy break from everything. The banchan was pretty standard in my opinion - still, a great complement to the soondubu. Last but not least - service was attentive and quick. I will definitely be coming back at some point!

The restaurant had plenty of space, but service was still super fast and efficient anyway, which I loved. What I love about Chodang is that the food is stellar and such good PORTIONS. Knowing this, I still opted to order a Combo Special because the thought of having leftovers for the next day sounded great to me. I ordered the Kimchi Tofu Soup with Beef Bulgogi, and it was delicious. I usually order my soups at the Spicy level, which I would say has a kick and flavor but never leaves me panting for air or water. As someone who likes spice, I wouldn't say it's very spicy, but definitely flavorful. Beef Bulgogi is one of my favorite dishes, and this place's version does not disappoint. The meat is tender and has a good balance of sweet and salty. My friends also ordered Combo Specials with a Tofu soup and the Korean bbq ribs, and Spicy Pork Bulgogi. One of these friends opted for the medium spice level, which I would say is a safe choice for everyone, especially if you're worried about something being too spicy. All soups come with Korean side dishes, a whole grilled yellow croaker fish (delicious but lots of bones), and a hot stone bowl of rice. Nothing missed!

What a joy to find this place…read more The soup portion was HUGE. I got a spicy beef soup with mushrooms and zucchini and it was amazing. The kimchi was so good that I got a second serving. The noodles had great texture, the broth was rich without being overly salty, and the side dishes were fresh and plentiful. Service was straightforward and efficient--not overly chatty, but they got the job done and kept things moving smoothly. You won't feel ignored, but you also won't be on a first-name basis with your server by the end of the night. Ambiance is simple and casual. It's not trying to be fancy--it's more of a laid-back, everyday kind of place where the focus is clearly on the food. If you're looking for a trendy vibe, this isn't it. But if you just want solid Korean comfort food, it delivers. Overall: great for when you're craving noodles and want an honest, satisfying meal without the frills.
