This place is horrible! Torches is one of my favorite restaurant chains, but unfortunately their Las Colinas location is being completely mismanaged. The food takes upwards of 45 minutes to come out. This has happened to me the last three times and I'm not going back for a forth. Do not eat here unless you have two hours for lunch! read more

I placed an online order a few times now at this location and it is always so hectic at pick up. I had an 11:30 pick up today and my order wasn't ready until 11:50. I only get a 30 minute lunch break and it makes it very difficult when I'm waiting on an order the entire time. Great food but not worth the wait. read more

I love torchy's!! Their tacos are all BOMB! My favorite taco is the Crossroads. It's literally the best brisket taco I've ever had. If you haven't tried that one, you really haven't seen what Torchy's can do. Their brisket breakfast taco is just as amazing (just can't remember the name). My son was begging me to take him here. I looked it up,read the reviews,and was sold. I had the cross roads tacos. that smoked beef brisket with the avocado to top it off was damn good. People just kept rolling in this place. I couldn't believe how busy they were. It is very casual but the service was outstanding. The green Chile queso is to die for. I love me some good queso. So disappointed. I normally love Torchy's but disappointed in the customer service. I ordered tacos online and even paid for extra stuff in them. When picked up the order was read as I had ordered but when I got to work the tacos were missing the extra stuff that had been paid for. I called Torchy's and waited for awhile and then was given option to leave a message for a manager which I did. I treated my mother to lunch after hearing so many positive things about Torchy's. Unfortunately, literally 6 guests received their food before we received ours. We waited 30 minutes before the girl at the front was noticing so many people were receiving their food even though they came after us. I ordered a to go order online that was ready for pick up at 10:35 am, before the lunch rush. When I arrived to pick up there was no one else in line. Two servers were standing at the register gossiping. No greeting or acknowledgment until I walked up and said I have a pick up order. The server who helped me interrupted me before I could finish telling her my name. My order was ready and she had to go to the back kitchen to pick it up, she took her time coming back with my food, even stopping to chat with a coworker along the way. On my way out there was another employee cleaning the windows, once again no greeting. I got a very hostile vibe in the restaurant for them to not even be busy. I've been to Torchy's before and my tacos today were just decent. I ordered the brushfire and independent and they were both a complete sloppy mess. I know it's a to go order but I think the presentation could have been a little more thoughtful rather than just thrown together. I probably won't return to this location. read more

To go orders now have a service charge fee. So beware if you order online there is an extra charge. Often times To-go tacos that have cheese are wrapped in such a way the cheese sticks to the foil and completely comes off the taco and sticks to the foil. HOLY SHIT these tacos are good!!! I come here every time I'm visiting Texas. I even spent $22 on Uber tonight to get my damn good tacos. I love everything I've ordered. You can't go wrong with the fried avocado or the street corn. They gave me a good amount of chicken in my fajita and 2 large pieces of avocado in my fried avocado taco. The sauces were a hit as well! Let me start by saying I LOVE Torchy's. The green chili pork is my absolute favorite so you can imagine my excitement when the Las Colinas location opened & I didn't have to trek to Preston/Forest. I've now given this location 3 attempts to redeem itself. Each time the green chili pork was watered down and tasteless. The chicken on the trailer park taco was rubbery and slimy. I wanted to try the hillbilly queso because I've never had it before. I still haven't. I arrived home with an order of regular queso. This final time torchy's ran out of chips. Seriously guys? What's going on? I love this place but the Las Colinas location needs to get it together. For now I'll drive the extra miles to Preston/Forest when a craving strikes me. read more

Terrible service!! Over 20 minutes to get 2 tacos when the place is basically empty. Staff is rude and not competent. Came at 9:30am Friday June 15th. My ticket time on receipt showed 9:32am a lady walks out and only says "are you the one who's been waiting forever? Here's your food..." at 9:55am. I'm a huge fan of Torchys but unfortunately this location has terrible service. We were charged for more expensive tacos than the ones we ordered, had to wait 30 minutes for the correct tacos to be made, then were told by the employees that we can't get a refund for the price difference. They did nothing to try to improve our experience during the wait for the tacos we ordered, and suggested if we would like anything in the meantime we are welcome to go back to the register and pay for more food. I usually really like Torchy's, but this experience was terrible. First of all, I was not even finished filling my drink up when the food runner came to bring me my queso while I was still at the drink station. She then expected me to carry my drink, queso, chips, and all the other stuff I had in my hands to the table. I finally had to tell her I could not carry all the stuff and to follow me to the table. As soon as we sit down the tacos come out, so we didn't even have time to eat the queso before the tacos. I proceed to my tacos to discover the bean and cheese taco I ordered had the tiniest amount of beans and was basically just a tortilla with cheese. I take a bite only to have the tortilla to be cold and stale. I move to the chicken taco and it's tortilla is folded shut at the end so all of the filling was falling out. The fold in the tortilla also made it stale! I was very disappointed with the experience and think I will not be going back to this location. read more

Really good tacos, many different varieties too, BUT It's very difficult to enjoy a good taco when the place smells like a wet rag. It hits you when you walk in. Clearly the cleaning procedures have been neglected, but that must be the norm now because many other restaurants have forgotten how to disinfect. At least the bathrooms are clean. read more

We arrived @ 8:00pm Saturday night, about three couples ahead of us in line, 1 cashier, placed our order at 8:10 waited for 25 minutes to receive our queso and chips barely warm in a to go cup not the usual warm crock. Then kept waiting for our tacos which never arrived. Noticed a new line of people forming at the register waiting to get refunds since they had been waiting longer than us for their food. What happened in the kitchen? A walk out? Obviously not enough staff- so don't take orders you can not fill. VERY Disappointed in this New Torchy's!!! At bar order their standard Margarita over ice (not frozen), a good simple bar drink - well made. Shrimp taco is excellent. Fried chicken taco with quest called trailer park is also very tasty. Service and bar setting is comfortable with a nice outdoor space. read more

Anyway I ordered over the phone 30 minutes in advance. When I show up it's still not ready. Then I wait another 20 minutes before I get my order. The food was awful. We sat at the bar, which was full service. The bartenders were super attentive. We ordered a draft beer and a margarita - both of which were happy hour specials. We split the queso which was amazing!! It was huge though- we heard the couple order a half size next to us, so that would have been much better for 2. My cousin and I went to eat on March 29th at approximately 8 p.m. We ordered some tacos, street corn, and nachos. Some of our food took an hour to make, when we asked the staff they're comment was "well were busy". This was by far the most unprofessional Torchy's Tacos I have ever been to. Have been to this location 2 previous times. Today has to have been the worst experience. We came on today around 4:15pm. We ordered all of our food to be eaten here. Our orders were delivered to our table in to-go bags and basically all of our meal was bagged as if we ordered to-go. Our tacos were cold. We asked for plates for our tacos and bowls for our guacamole and queso. The woman who delivered our food informed us that there were no bowls and we could "get up and get ourselves the individual bowls" located by the soda fountain. She was rude and did not seem to be amused with being at work today. The cashier was friendly but the food runner ruined the entire experience and meal.
