To sum up the three main categories: Food great. Ambiance Awesome. Service - Out of this World! This was the first Torchy's Tacos that I have ever been to that actually was finally impressed with their customer service! I've always like the food there but theres no one other than Suzie! I typically go to just pick up my food there or if I have to wait to pick up, I'll have maybe one drink and never really stay unless I'm there for lunch (these are other locations) but this one gets 5stars specifically for Suzie's service! She knows the true craft of a bartender and her mixed drinks were delicious! She greeted me the moment I walked in, made me feel welcomed, offered me the secret menu! Let me know immediately I had 10 minutes til happy hour was done, provided suggestions and even asked if I was a rewards member at the end. My go to is the Trailer Park extra Trashy taco it's always "Damn Good" and I tried something different this time I opted for the green chili tots instead of the chips and queso it was fresh and oh so hot! If you like the Torchy's chain but not so much the services. Go to this location. Guaranteed 100% amazing service if Suzie is working! She is the reason everyone goes there! You will not be disappointed! I had an amazing time.. shocking.. I know! Happy Yelping! Enjoy! read more

Walk in & place your own order at the kiosk, pick up a tracker/order number, enter your own order number on kiosk, pay by yourself, then kiosk asks you for a tip. If I ordered a margarita or a cocktail I would tip. The food runner was very nice. I had to try the nachos. $10.99 and I did not add protein (chicken was $3.75). They were okay. Queso got coldfast. Glad I tried them. Next time, I might just order chips and queso. The only extra on these nachos was sour cream drizzle and pico de gallo. Join the rewards program for a free queso. read more

We've never had a bad meal at a Torchy's. Today was no exception. My wife enjoyed a Democrat in a bowl. Barbacoa, avocado, onions, cotija cheese, tomatillo salsa and corn....she added some breaded and fried avocado to the mix...i got a few tastes, i should have added the fried avocado to my taco. I enjoyed a secret menu item....A matador, a flour tortilla wit' melted cheese and a fried corn tortilla inside wit' smoked beef brisket, brushfire jalapenos, pickled onions and jalapenos, mixed cheese, avocado, sour cream, cilantro, tomatillo salsa, this was rated one jalapeno for heat level...it brought more than one for my tastebuds...me likey! We topped it off wit' a couple fountain drinks. Great food and service. read more

Customer service was great from the moment you walk in. I personally love the Torchy's locations that have kiosks to order from--this one didn't, but that's just a personal preference, not a dealbreaker. I popped in for a margarita and some queso, and as always, they hit the spot. The margarita was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of alcohol, and the queso... always a win. Parking wasn't an issue for me since I came around lunchtime, but I can definitely see how it could get tight since they share the lot with H-E-B and a bunch of other stores in the shopping center. Overall, solid 10/10 experience. read more

Love coming to Torchys when you want some quick tacos that are reliable. Not as authentic but they sure are tasty. Can't go wrong. If you want authentic you gotta go to a taco truck but this ain't bad at all. Service is quick. Plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Casual ambience. read more

Slow , disorganized and mediocre service. While I'm sure the employees here would love to think this is fine dining, it isn't. It's tacos. Speed it up as this is fast food and not a steak dinner. read more

As a vegetarian, finding a taco spot that truly delivers can be a challenge, but this place has become my go-to for satisfying and flavorful tacos. I absolutely love their FoSho Taco with flour tortillas -- it's packed with delicious flavors, fresh ingredients, and the perfect balance of textures. The tortilla itself adds such a comforting touch and brings everything together beautifully. Every bite feels thoughtfully prepared, and it's one of those dishes I keep coming back to whenever I'm craving tacos. Whether you're vegetarian or simply looking to try something different, this spot is definitely worth exploring. It has become one of my favorite taco destinations! I also noticed that their ingredients taste incredibly fresh, which really elevates the overall experience. Beyond the food, I truly appreciated the friendly service and the clean, welcoming environment. The attention to freshness, quality, and customer experience makes this place stand out. read more

I don't care what anyone says. I love torchy's tacos. I always get the crossroads and a half order of the hillbilly queso Muy Rico.

I have special place in my heart...er tummy for Torchys. That being said, not all Torchys are made alike. When frequenting this area, this is my local Torchys. If you're new to Torchys: *always order the queso *expect non-traditional Texified tacos and cuisine. Trust me, you'll get it once you walk in through door If you're new to this location know: *they do have a bar *they have a patio where you can play peeping Tom to La Madeline patrons *In my experience I've received just as many incorrect or ill prepared orders as correct ones. Don't get me wrong, I've never received a fully incorrect order, but I have ordered online only to find Nookies are not offered yet again, arrived to pick up food that had been sitting far too long (#cold queso), have received overly fatty fajita meat in my taco, received an order without diablo sauce or guac in my queso, requested a taco without one ingredient to find the ingredient was never removed once I bite in (this has happened 2x now), received mislabeled to go tacos, and more times than not, have picked up orders missing my sauce (most tacos come with a salsa or sauce)). All of that being said, I'd assume consistency is a priority amongst the franchise. While Torchys remains a spot I secretly crave regularly, this particular location may have a bit of work to do on the consistency front. Wish them all the best! read more

My friend and I come here a lot just for the queso! It's so spicy and creamy and yummy!! We like to sit at the bar for quick service, but sometimes the bartender is also working the counter service, like on my last visit. There was a long line of people ordering and it made it hard to ask for anything. It kinda defeats the purpose of sitting at the bar. I do understand that sometimes places can be short staffed, but when we came a few days ago, it looked like there was only person working in the front, I felt bad for the bartender. I tried something new this time. I got the Mofaux taco. It had beyond beef and corn! It was pretty good to my surprise. But there was just SO MUCH meat that I could've asked for a side of tortilla and made myself another taco. read more

I don't work at Torchys bring back the counter person to take the order. Someone has the audacity to add a tip screen after I have to enter my own order and get my own drink and bus my own table when I'm done, are you kidding me? Not to mention the staff scoffs if you ask for anything. WTF? This is self service all the way. A move in the wrong direction! read more

Bad service. No customers in the establishment and was not offered the opportunity to order with a human being. Waited ten minutes for my order, only to get home with the wrong tacos. They refunded my payment when I called to complain, but was told that Torchy's corporate was in charge of the ordering process. I realize I am a picky B when it comes to customer service, but seriously, get your act together. One out of five at best. read more

This place sucks ordered online they charged me then said the order didn't go through would be 3 to 5 days before my bank refunded me , so I figure while I'm on the phone why not just make the to go order well the guy who works there said we can't take orders over the phone. Well what type of establishment will know their website is bugging and not try to compromise for the customer to spend their money this place sucks and won't see another dollar from me read more

Wow! Torchy's finally ran me off. Loved their menu for years but walked in tonight to find 2 kiosk order boards in place of a friendly employee. Not user friendly but no one appeared at the one remaining register to help or take my order and the kiosk still wanted a 20% tip (don't think so) I searched for my sauce I like on my taco and used the button but it came out dry anyway. The only person around to ask for help was the bartender and she slowly finished pouring a beer and cut up a lime before stomping over to the kitchen to help me, imagine me bothering her as a customer in a kiosk run restaurant now. I was still expected to bus my own table at the end. If you want to be a food truck again, close the doors to the storefronts. read more

no the tortillas are not homemade and I can tell. I don't think they even heated up the tortilla but if they did, they need to do it longer and the chips and salsa was not again. They were store-bought chips. They need to make fresh chips not store-bought chips I won't be back read more

The worst Torchy's location I've ever been to! The manager (Adrian) and one of the female waiters are so rude. I ordered three items and spent over $25 and I can only get 4 tiny salsa sauces per Adrian's instruction. And the rude female waiter told me I cannot get more chips and salsa. I will definitely never come back to this Torchy's Location. Awful experience. read more

Food is good... The wait to get the food is another story. Very slow!! Speed up that process and it would be 5 stars read more

I consistently have the WORST experience at any "fast casual" restaurant here at this location. Every time I order for pick up, it's a wait of at least 10 mins PAST the time they say it will be ready. Once I took my mom here and I swear we waited almost an hour for our tacos. Absolutely ridiculous, and there's never any kind of apology made for the poor service and long wait times either. Food is fine but the experience is so bad I can't rate it anything other than 1 star. read more

(Quarantine review) We had a great curbside experience with Torchy's today. They are open with a limited menu but still plenty of the favorites you're craving. Beyond the typical tacos, chips and queso, etc. they're also offering curbside beer, wine, bloodies, and margaritas to-go either by the single serving size or big kits. All around great service and great to be back at a restaurant, even if it's through my window sitting in the car. read more

I was headed to the grocery store in the same shopping strip but saw a long line. I then saw that Torchy's had a pick-up set-up on the sidewalk. I had been wanting to have a margarita and they have individual ones to go. The order took a long time. You have to order food with an alcoholic beverage purchase. I ordered chips. The salsa tastes burnt. It's not my type. Mind you the waitress was working really hard with all the food orders. Her mask wasn't on. I called her on it. It falls off, she added. The service workers are supposed to protect us. Torchy's needs to get her a mask. I had one on but that protects her. About my $6.50 margarita? I got half a cup of limeade with ice and a small bottle of tequila. I wish they were more generous with the limeade. I was not about to pour the whole small bottle of tequila into the tiny limeade. That's not the margarita I had envisioned. I'll stick to tacos next time. read more

Spicy! I've been to other Torchy's and didn't recall that their tacos are spicy. I'm personally not a fan of anything spicy. I'm not sure if I missed that on the menu when I ordered them. The cops are really good though. I got the chicken tacos which have pick in them. One of the staff there told me that anything with pico there would be spicy when I asked her what was making my tacos hot. I also bought a brownie. It was pretty good although a tiny bit chalky. I do like that they're always trying new things with their menu. I will be back but ask which tacos can be made without jalapeños. read more

Torchy's Tacos - The guac has an unexpected kick. - Tex-Mex Near Me - Houston, Texas

After leaving the Galleria, a friend mentioned a great toco place was near by. The cashier recommended her favorites for us. My friend tried the fried chicken, jerk chicken and shrimp tacos and stated they all were great. I had the jerk chicken taco which was really good. And the salmon was seasoned well in the salmon taco, my only problem was the corn tortilla the taco was in. It did not taste good to me so I would suggest asking for the flour tortilla. Also the queso dip is a must, unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it! This location does offer dine in seating too. read more

I drove out of my way 15 minutes to get to torchy's I had a five dollar off card I walked up to the register told the employee that I would like a hillbilly queso To Go and that I had the five dollar card he immediately walked away and came back with a manager the manager said "how can I help you" I said well I was telling him that I would like a large hillbilly queso To Go and that I had this five dollar card. The lady manager was very condescending and with weird smirk said we no longer take those cards to which I said OK "how was I supposed to know that"? She then said with a very awkward smirk on her face that she wasn't saying that I didn't know but that but now I do know because she is telling me. I work at a nice steakhouse and her customer service was very bizarre and unprofessional she was not apologetic in any kind of way And gave no explanation as to why the card that I had they no longer took. It was so awkward like she was so proud of herself to be able to tell me she wasn't going to accept the card. I wont be going back. read more

Oh yum! A store opened on my way to work. Or is that a bad thing for my girly figure? Feeling a bit peckish I stopped by on my way to work. First time so I was staring at the board & everything looked delicious. I opted for the Dirty Sanchez. After a bit of a wait, I got my taco & headed in to work. This little baby was still hot when I arrived so I dived in to the goodness of scrambled eggs with pickled carrots, cheese, guac & my new favorite fried poblano chile. The flavor was out of this world & one taco was more than enough to fill this girl up. Will definitely have to go back & go through the menu one taco at a time. Service was nice & prompt. The place clean & shiny. read more

This is a pretty normal Torchy's - I've never had a bad experience at Torchy's (except the one in Odessa when they first opened, and restaurants in West Texas are all hit or miss anyway). Went on a Saturday morning, had never tried their breakfast tacos before. Tried the taco of the month - the Roscoe (chicken, bacon, waffle, egg in a flour tortilla). Chicken was under seasoned, the bacon and the syrup were the only real flavor in the taco. A far cry from the last couple of tacos of the month, which were both excellent. Service was fast, location was clean. All in all a good experience, I just can't recommend the Roscoe taco. read more
