My family of 5 came here for a quick bite and we were not disappointed. I got their house Margarita and one was all I needed. Their staff was quick, friendly and helpful. The inside was typical of a taco shop but it was clean. The taco presentation wasn't fantastic but the carnitas taco were very good. The ground beef was alright, reminded me of mcormirck ground beef taco seasoning. The fuzzy rice was just ok and I would not get it again. The Salsa and queso dip was good and I liked the seasoning they added to the chips. Good job little taco shop. read more

Waiting for this place to open, directly across from my work at Mattress Firm, has been torturous (torcherous?). The owner turned me on to Torchys when he bought a bed from me in Austin a few years back. He made me regular at his place. It'd been a while but, it's the same amazing food I remember. I haven't tried anything I haven't liked yet. Everything is delicious! Hillbilly Queso is a must. Love the Tipsy Chick Taco with a margarita sangria swirl. I have also tried the Green Chili Pork and Fish Taco which definitely hit the spot. The only problem now is trying to choose what to order. My favorite part of this location is sitting at the bar when Salyna is working. Her knowledge of the history of the restaurant and menu takes the dining experience to the next level. She always has such a positive attitude and can tell she truly cares about the guest. Salyna makes you feel like you are a guest in her own home. She is definitely an asset to Torchys. read more

Large menu of taco selection and drinks. Not a huge fan of the tacos to be honest. I like more Mexican style. All the tacos definitely provide a lot of meat and the Queso is good. They also seemed to have a good selection of alcoholic beverages. Customer service was okay. We came up to order and several employees where checking in for their shift. The employees kept moving us back and forth until they finished. The food came out quick though despite an increase in customers. I probably won't be back because it's not my style of tacos but there was a line out the door when we left so maybe it's me. If we're to come back I would order the Republican and the Queso. read more

The best thing about this place is that it is clean... nothing else is worth it, WAY overpriced food in the shape of a taco. Nothing about this place is authentic, had the brisket taco, was inedible, just had chunks of fat and gristle, told one of the workers and she just shrugged and walked away, disappointed to say the least. very expensive for mediocre tacos. a single taco the costs over $5 should be the greatest taco ever eaten and be filling, though this was neither. The claim of their tacos being larger than a traditional street taco are true... but slightly larger, not twice the size for the twice the price you're paying. I will be the first to say that I love Torchy's. Unfortunately, this location simply cannot get it right. We were excited to visit this location in September of 23'. After a 45 minute wait, our food arrived cold. Based on the reactions around us, this was a similar experience from others. Knowing they had only been open for 3 months, we took our free taco cards and decided to give them another try. On 12.29, we ordered (7) tacos and waited over an hour. Kind of torn on this one...service, margaritas and queso was great! Chips were not very fresh and tacos were ok. I had the democrat and it was really oily, but the tomatillo sauce that was on the side was AMAZING! Came here once, nothing to write home about. My mom wanted a togo order so I went and they discontinued their military discount, seriously? Less than 1% serve, removing was more disappointing than never having offered it. The guac was so spicy my mom could not eat it. Brought it back, uneaten and was told I could have another or queso....dairy allergy so not really an option. Between the bad customer service and sub par food I will continue to patronize family owned taco stands. Disappointing to say the least. read more

Tasty good tacos! It's new, it's clean (young men were constantly wiping off tables while i was there) and service was fast. Tacos were very good! Meant to take a picture. If you are starving or have a huge appetite, you'll want 4-6 tacos but if you are just normal hungry, 2-3 tacos seem to be plenty in my opinion. Nice patio area. Will be back! read more

This location only... I LOVE Torchys and I've been the ones in Austin and use to drive out to the PV location off Camelback so I was excited when they opened one 5 min from my house. First, my ears are still ringing from it being so loud. I couldn't even hear the girl when I was ordering. Second, they have been out of churros every time I've gone and out of Barbacoa at times as well. They then brought an order out that wasn't mien and acted like i was wrong and then asked to see my receipt which I was never given. I love this place but my experience at the San Tan location doesn't leave me wanting to go back to this location. It's new but at this point you really shouldn't be running out of things. I drove 30 minutes after work in the heat which was 114° here in Arizona I went to torches I'm used to the ones in Texas in Colorado, when I got there the tables were dirty the seats were had food all over it employees weren't paying attention I ordered my food sat down and had chips I had to rub the salt off the chips and was so salty the dip was so thick like wallpaper paste and the whole food was full of sodium is really bad it was really really bad and I will not be back read more

I have eaten here twice now and I will continue to go back. They have classic tex mex tacos and a unique spin on their "damn good tacos" as they are labeled. Let me tell you, they are pretty damn good! Ive tried 6 different tacos so far and i have not been disappointed yet. Not your place if you are looking for authentic tacos, but if you want a tasty spin on your tacos for a good price, this is the place! Kids meals are also cheap! I've eaten at Torchy's in Texas and this location is not up to par. We waited almost an hour for our food but outside of that we order chips, salsa, and Queso. A runner brought the chips and Queso but no salsa. After waiting 30 minutes we finally grab one of the runners and she was like oh, we're out of that salsa. Sooo no one was going to tell us or deliver it if we didn't ask someone? Once our food came out we were really over it. All of it was cold and there's no way it would have passed any health and safety tests. Also, over half of the fountain drinks were out of order. Needless to say, it's a total crap chute. read more

Be patient when ordering. Third time visiting at various times same slow experience in terms of short lines while a long wait - from 11:15 Am / 2:00pm and 6:25 Sunday same slow experience: . (5 tables total , 6 people at bar and staff standing around watching TV , on phones while one person taking orders . It's takes forever for people to order food , then one employee punching orders. Food is consistent , good and pricey. It's hard to justify experience when you have to wait longer then the long lines at chipolete ... who value speed. In a nut shell they need more order clerks and shorten the questions and process. read more
