Mikey V's is a local hot sauce shop that sells their brand of hot sauce as well as a selection of other hot sauces and similar products. I'm no hot sauce connoseur so I don't know how well curated it is. I chose one of their mild sauces and struck gold. The peach habanero delight is awesome. A really good put-it-on-everything sauce that just has a little kick. It barely made it two weeks in this house -- I've been putting it on fish, meat, chicken, eggs. Service at the check-out counter was really friendly. Also had to try the tacos in the back. We ordered the barbacoa, the surf and turf, and the spicy pig. The tacos were generously packed with meat but I did find the meat a little bit bland for my taste (good thing it comes with salsa). Now, here's where it gets interesting. We ordered the spicy pig because my husband wanted to try it. They told me it was like a 7 (which is a bit scary). Let me tell you -- it's a 4 at most. I don't know if it's all the elderly gringos traipsing around the Square that are skewing the scale. For reference, I usually get mild at restaurants. I enjoy a weaker medium but generally play it safe with mild. I'm not a spice hound and ultimately consider myself a bit of a wimp with spicy food. And believe it or not, I loved the spicy pig. It was a really nice level of spice and it didn't leave that searing aftertaste in your mouth. So if you can handle some spice, go for it. It was a bit comical because they were acting like it was an atomic bomb -- they made sure to put it in a separate container (which I do appreciate, in case it actually was wildly spicy). I really am grateful for the careful warnings -- I just wanted to point out that they seem to ultimately be for people like my parents (who can barely handle a fleck of red pepper).

"Better Than Probation Food -- Torchy's Tacos Changed My Life (Again)" Listen, I've eaten tacos from coast to coast -- from gas stations in El Paso to embassy buffets in Kyiv (don't ask) -- but Torchy's Tacos in Georgetown? That's where I found redemption. Now, I'm not saying I technically live in Georgetown. I'm more of a "temporary resident of undisclosed locations" kind of guy. But every time I swing by to check on my investments (you know, "alternative energy initiatives" in Eastern Europe), I make a pit stop here for a Trailer Park taco, trashy style. The first bite hit harder than the FBI at 6 a.m. -- crispy chicken, poblano sauce, and regret all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. I even tried to get my sister-in-law/wife to pay or promise some "consulting shares," but the cashier insisted on actual money. Rude. I told her, "Sweetheart, I used to work for an energy company in Ukraine. You can trust me." She didn't. Ended up Venmoing my dad instead -- the big guy's got great credit. Anyway, the queso? Liquid gold. I haven't seen anything this addictive since the mid-2000s. I could drink it out of a gas can if they'd let me. Torchy's Tacos in Georgetown -- 10/10. Would scam again.... Pardon me read more

Once again, I find myself utterly disappointed with Torchy's Tacos, and I can't help but express my frustration. This latest experience at the restaurant has only solidified my growing dissatisfaction with their service. Unfortunately, my order was wrong yet again, marking another instance of inconsistency and carelessness on their part. It's disheartening to see such a lack of attention to detail, especially considering the reputation Torchy's Tacos has built for itself. What's even more disappointing is that this seems to be a recurring issue. Time after time, I've encountered mistakes in my orders at this particular location. It's becoming increasingly clear that this might be the worst Torchy's Tacos establishment I've ever visited. Overall, my experience with Torchy's Tacos has been nothing short of a letdown. As a loyal customer, I had hoped for better, but unfortunately, that's not what I've received. read more

To Chef Felipe Armenta,…read more Please review your Georgetown Location. I was Up Charged a little bit under $4 by this location today. You have several signs stating a breakfast taco deal at $5.99 for (3). Today 5/9/26 @ 9:40am: I grabbed an order of Cactus and an order of chorizo. Based on your menu there is not an additional charge for this. The Total (including Tax @ 8.25%) is just under $13. We are in a time where disingenuous acts by your veteran employees is scrutinized past just an initial instance. Although I did speak to a manager by phone, I still find it necessary to bring this to the Company attention instead of sweeping under the rug by phone call. If this wasn't a recurring complaint (read your Yelp Reviews) about Up Charges, I would let it be. But this is not the case, it's happened more than a onetime mistake. How this affects the rest of the Shifts Employees is a tip will not be given, your employee already charged that amount. I have worked in service before and Tips are what have kept me and plenty other employees working for a company in our past. It's also a help for your business as your turnover will decrease, morale will increase, and so will customer relationships. Dishonesty like this though hurts this Location 3-fold and can be crippling. I agree with the majority, the breakfast tacos here are good especially at the price posted. But this hurts you today for Me and anyone reading this that wants to try out a breakfast taco spot Somewhere New. This review will potentially deter %5+ of New Customer acquisition which if you're a seasoned business person this looks small in the beginnings but very important to company growth. Prompt greeting when I entered the restaurant, attentive service throughout my visit without hovering over my table Let's start with the salsa - great mixture of tomatoes, cilantro, and peppers to bring just the right amount of heat and flavor The cheese and chicken enchiladas were both a disappointment to me. The cheese enchiladas was average fare - the red sauce was nothing special - and the grated cheese on top overpowered the cheese that was inside the stale tortilla. The chicken enchilada with green sauce had a little more redeeming value. Although the tortilla was just as stale as the cheese enchilada, the filling of shredded chicken and the tangy green sauce made for a nice bite. I may have gone a little too basic, but the enchilada order is always my go to when I try out a Mexican restaurant or have not been in eons, which was the case here The restaurant itself was jampacked, still with all the tables pretty much full it was not that loud everyone focused on eating.
