My cousin and I came for the first time for my birthday. Started out with drinks, the General Tso's Downfall was great tasting with all hits of the flavors! However, for the price was definitely not worth it as I barely tasted or felt anything after. The service was good. However, the waiter could've been a little more enthusiastic. The menu is very slim and don't expect to get much for dinner! The Thai chili shrimp appetizer was great and very tasty, but the smoked fish dip not so much flavor at all! We had a really disappointing experience here. We were asked to move tables twice whilst having drinks because the tables we were seated at were apparently "reserved" even though no one told us that when we sat down. Then THEY WOULD give us a different table only for ANOTHER manager to come by and tell us we couldn't sit there! It completely disrupted the experience and made us feel like an afterthought. Poor management and lack of organization. Drinks were icy and overpriced for the quality. Bathroom had trash all over the floor and there was no paper towels. DJ played great music though. Love the spot. Best view in Jupiter. The current bar menu does not hit the mark. Drinks/wine too expensive and the food should be more pub oriented i.e sliders, nachos, wings, chicken fingers, burgers , chicken sandwiches etc. We came form the Square Grouper where it was jammed, to a beautiful but empty spot (Topside). The recent renovations are perfect. We will come back hoping for a better menu. read more

This place is definitely a great addition to Jupiter. It's a rooftop restaurant on the water with a great view of the Jupiter lighthouse. There's plenty of shade and also some areas that do not have a cover. There is a large bar and also plenty of lounge areas and high top tables. They can definitely accommodate a large party. The menu is pretty short and sweet with basic bar items with a twist. It's a little more spruced up for the clientele that does come here. I've been here twice with my first time ordering two tacos and my second time ordering the grilled cheese sandwich. I have also ordered the Keylime dessert that was out of this world. This dessert is very filling and recommend sharing this with a few people. Or just take it home for a late night dessert. They do offer unless mimosas so make sure you let your waiter know, so it's not mistaken as you only wanted one drink. I've had the bloody Mary which just tasted like your typical bloody Mary I've had in so many other restaurants. I was here a couple weeks ago with a large party and everything was great until trying to get our check which took extremely long time. I think it got confusing for them because a different waitress was serving us by the ends of our meals. The original guy was writing everything down per person. Not quite sure what happen. I think this is a great place to come and hang out, have a couple cocktails and order some tacos. But we're also sweating from head to toe being outside in Florida humidity. This place is pretty busy, and prices are ridiculous, but the view is spectacular. There are fans that help with the heat as it is a covered outside area. There are couches and hanging chairs, and it's really a nicely decorated area. The wait staff and bartenders are pretty friendly. They only have two bathrooms upstairs and there is always a line whether you go early or later. I need to try the restaurant downstairs next. read more

My husband and I used to eat at Topside about once a week, before they redid the place. We've been hesitant to go back and try it because they took the Ahi tuna stack off the menu and that was the main thing we went for. We finally decided to give it a try for lunch a couple of Sundays ago. They supposedly opened at noon but we, along with some other patrons, stood on the steps in the hot sun waiting and waiting. Finally at 12:10 we gave up and went next-door to Lucky Shuck. Even if they weren't 100% ready, why in the world would they leave customers standing on the steps? No one spoke to us or gave us any kind of explanation or estimation of when they would open. They could have let everybody come up into the shade and asked us to be patient for a few minutes while they got situated. read more

Location, Location, Location. The view from Topside at the Beacon is breathtaking. I have been here twice. Both visits were prior to having dinner downstairs at the Beacon. I love the vibe and the crowd is usually a good mixture of younger and older folks, who are friendly and looking for a tasty drink and a good time. I paid $30 for two mojitos.. they lacked flavor. The drinks were made in front of us. No mint leaves were muddled in the bottom, they were just put on top as a garnish thus the drink lacked the mint flavor. Each drink had a very small pour of alcohol and lots of tart/bitter premade mix. I was disappointed because it was my significant other's birthday. I wanted him to enjoy his favorite drink before we had dinner, but they were not good. We didn't drink much of them. I am no bartender, however, I can make a better mojito. I've been there at night on a Friday and the DJ is great, it's a lot of fun, but it feels a bit too much for a Sunday. They also got rid of a ton of the seats and I'm not sure why. It felt very empty in the center when we walked in. There used to be cozy places to sit and relax. Also they got rid of all their drinks from their original menu!! I always took visitors here because of the view and their great drink menu that was original. Now they only have 6 "specialty cocktails" and everything else is gone. It's annoying that they changed it so much. It was fine the way it was before! Stop trying to be so "upscale" that you take away from the tiki bar vibes everyone comes here for. read more

Lucked out on a busy Saturday getting seated on the waterside ledge for the best view. After a 15 minute wait, I went to the bar to order two drinks and an app. Though the bartender should have seen us sitting for 15 minutes at a table close to the bar, she quickly snapped since I was standing at the bar "where are going to eat the sliders?". Only after placing the order at the bar did a hostess swing by to ask if a server has stopped by yet. We never did end up having a server. Overall, it's disappointing when a great ambiance place has poor service. From the looks of others showing frustration and wrong food orders being delivered. I get the sense that the place is poorly managed. This place could easily be 5 stars but it won't be until new management is in place or makes changes. This is a very cool place for adults. It is not at all kid friendly.... not even for a quick bite in the middle of the afternoon. My friend and I took our boys (I claim my little dude, but I really just have the privilege of caring for him). The menu is not conducive to ordering for small children. Point in case, there is a grilled cheese on the menu. We were informed it wasn't feasible to remove the mango chutney from the sandwich. I was a bit perplexed because I've never meal prepped a grilled cheese. I always make one fresh regardless of whether I add additional ingredients. I can respect a venue not wanting little people for patrons, but simply state this from the beginning so we can move along with our afternoon. We wouldn't have been offended and would've stuck to the original Guanabanas dining plan. If I were visiting with only adult company, I would've loved to enjoy the swing chairs and / or sat at the bar. We did enjoy the comfortable seating as well as the views. At best, we snuck in a cold one and the draft selection was good. When I find myself back on Love Street, I may return but it isn't high on the list given all the surrounding options. read more

My son and I went to Topside at the Beacon last week, and it has become our new favorite place! From the moment we entered, we were treated with such kindness and attention. The hostess was very accommodating and showed us to the bar. This was definitely the highlight of our experience. The view and ambiance of this place is incredible. We actually had only planned to stop in for a quick drink before our reservation elsewhere, but that plan quickly changed. Our bartender, Nick, was absolutely fantastic. He was super personable and very knowledgeable about the menu. We were having so much fun that we stayed to have dinner. My son can attest to the fact that the smash burger is one of the best he has had, and I loved the chickpea hummus and eggplant caponata. The drinks were made to perfection! Hostess came over and told us the policy was we had to order food. Ok. I get it. But the place was empty and no one waiting to get in. Proper way to Handel was to tell us policy and if it got busy we would politely leave. We're going to Oder another round but we're basically told to leave. We will never be back. read more

I was there yesterday 12/29/24 at 4;30 pm with a party of seven We waited for a waitress and the place wasn't busy at all. I went to the bar to order drinks and it took at least 15 minutes to get a drink. Our party enjoyed the water view outside and had to move inside because it started to rain. We congregated and some of us sat at a high top table to finish our drinks and have another round for some of us. The hosted came over to us and asked will we be ordering food? We said no just drinks She said the high top tables wer for ordering food only so we moved over to the couches and she said we can't sit there either because that was for food as well. Mind you the place wasn't empty. Maybe 20 people including us. Needless to say we hurriedly finished our drinks and left. I spoke with the hostess about this on the way out and she said it was the restaurant policy sorry. Well they missed out on our second round of drinks which would have been another 80-100 dollars and the place wasn't busy empty. I would understand if the place was packed but that wasn't the case. I would never go back nor would the other people in my party. I would not recommend the establishment to anyone and would discourage anyone from going there in the future. I'm not sure if this is management's policy or just the unsupervised staff. But you should be made aware of it read more

If you can handle an a**hole bouncer/check in person, it's a pretty cool place to be. The bouncer/check in person asked us: "Who are you here with?" "How many people?" "How many drinks are you going to have?" With an attitude. He was quite rude and arrogant. First time, they were "full" when the rooftop seemed completely empty. This time, we were told there would be a two hour wait, but then as soon as we answered the questions and put our name down, we got a confirmation within five minutes that we can be seated. The drinks were great! The vibe was good! People at Topside were pleasant! Our favorite drink was the "General Tso's Downfall." This was very very yummy! The "Tropical Itch" that come with a backscratcher was more of a "manly" drink for me. It tasted a little bit like an old fashion with a hint of some tea... All I can say is this is one of my favorite spots for happy hour in Jupiter. They have the best menu for food and the desserts are amazing. I highly recommend the dark forest. With a chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, raspberry filling's, raspberry sorbet... It is amazing and such a piece of art!!! I also recommend the tuna stack for an appetizer.
