We went to Topside for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! We did the yoga at 12 from Village Yoga then stayed for a few mimosas and food. Our server was the cutest from the UK and was so attentive to our group of 10. It was the more beautiful day to go as well. Best time to be up on the top deck. I got the fish burger that did not disappoint. The burgers are a little small, I do not recommend get those. My friends said they were not worth the price. read more

The Beacon is a great restaurant. Topside is an excellent open-air hangout above the Beacon with a great view of the Jupiter Lighthouse across the inter-coastal and fantastic bartenders that are attentive and make excellent Aperol spritzes and Negronis. Like the Beacon downstairs, Topside offers both valet and lot parking. Up the staircase, before the entrance to Beacon, takes you to a chill bar and lounge that has a Bahamian-style bar area, patio lounge seating, and high-top seating. During the day, you can enjoy great cocktails, decent happy hour specials, and good bar bites such as pink shrimp cocktail, chargrilled octopus, and fried chicken bites made Tuscan style. The bartenders make great Aperol spritzes and Negronis in my experience with more than one bartender. Kyle in particular is very attentive and accommodating. At night, it gets a lot more vibing and vibrating as there is a DJ and a crowd that is mixed ranging from late 20-somethings to 40 and 50 year olds who don't mind some fun under the moonlight. On Fridays, they also have ladies night between 9 and 10 where drinks are discounted -- the options are limited to receive that promotion I believe, but my wife did enjoy a couple of gin and tonics. Most of Topside is covered with a canopy in the event of rain that can happen because it's Florida. Plus being open-air allows for the breeze from the inter-coastal and the Atlantic to keep the temps cooler when it's hotter. read more

I've been here twice now and the service and drinks never disappointment; especially the happy hour menu and food on it too. I had great conversations with my bartenders every time, and have had an enjoyable experience whether it's people watching or just hanging and enjoying the view and vibes. There's also this delicious coconut water based drink that is light and refreshing and invented by one of the servers. As a mixologist I approve. Today was our happy hour day with this place being the second of four places we were visiting, and I must say I enjoyed this the best! The location is fantastic with direct views of the famous lighthouse and waterway directly in front of the property. While there is a roof to keep the sun off of you, the views go in all directions and the sitting area receives plenty of breeze. Our server was delightful and very helpful and choosing our appetizer selections. Both of those Avicii and peel in each shrimp were excellent, fresh tasting and generous portions. To be clear, we stopped in for happy hour and only had drinks--but it was a great experience overall. The staff was very friendly, and Kyle in particular stood out for his attentiveness and skill behind the bar. Have been a here a few times and went with some friends last weekend! Got the best seat and the view was incredible. You have a view of the Jupiter lighthouse and inter-coastal. That alone is worth coming here! I had the fish sandwich, and have to say it was probably one of the best I've ever had. Our server Olivia was incredible! She was so sweet and attentive. What a wonderful experience at Topside! Greeted by the warm, wonderful staff known as Kyle and Kyle, we felt at home right away. The chicken, fish nuggets and must have smash burger+fires moist and seasoned and breaded well however, the oysters were delivered without their liquor. While we have distanced ourselves from Lucky Shuck because of poor service and mediocre food, JAKE can convert us into a regulars at Beacon-Topside. read more

It's a beautiful spot with stunning views of the Jupiter lighthouse. It's located on Love Street and there's parking or valet. The food was incredible. I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna Stack which is pretty much tuna tartare but the bottom is like fried rice in a crispy rice order. Service is great and so is the ambiance. Hubby got the Smokey & the Boulevardier which he said was great. Followed that up by the General Tso's Downfall which had a nice presentation, but was not as good. He said it was mostly pineapple in flavor and the Smokey was more of what he was looking for. We had the crab cake Benedict and chicken biscuit as our main meal. Neither was really a favorite of mine. The crab cake tasted kind of fishy. Neither meal was bad per se, but not something I'd order again. Amazingly large car park to complex with3-4 restaurants. Topside is reached by unassuming stairs to relatively large rooftop with high tops, couches and tables. The big draw is cool air and a close view to the Jupiter lighthouse. Sun sets behind adjacent restaurant. Food surprisingly good. Quite strong on fish but steak, lamp,pork and the butterflied chicken that I had. Helpful waitress said to avoid fries " as you can have them anywhere". Loaded potato much better and it was. Plenty good sized plates. Pretty bar with lots of choices. Seemed to close quite early at 10? But younger people coming in for a drink later on. In the summer not that busy even on Saturday night. Stopped in here for a drink before dinner.. beautiful views of the lighthouse and inlet! The drinks were also prepared well and service was efficient. The roof was shaded but it was still hot (obvious for August in Florida) and they had a fan which was just blowing full blast straight on us. It was also somewhat crammed, with tables having "reserved" on them so standing room only at 5pm.. it'd be nice to have been able to come in a grab a table that was open for drinks as opposed to them being reserved for I'm guessing food service. I also attempted to go the night before but come 9pm, there was a cover and it was ladies night (ladies drink free) which drew a very young crowd which steered me away- just seems a bit mismatched for the aim of this place. When did reserving tables for Happy Hour become a thing? We went, the bar was empty, and a few tables had folks sitting. Asked to sit outside as you could see lots of empty tables only to be told they are reserved, yet no signs. They stayed empty for a good hour. We came here after visiting The Jupiter Lighthouse. It is a beautiful view of the Lighthouse - it is on a 2nd floor deck (you climb several steps to go up to the restaurant. We did sit down as we were right on time for happy hour. Issue was that we really couldn't find anything to share- I was thinking of having a caesar salad (and then eating at home) and my friends laughed! Perhaps the thai shrimp or the burger? Very surprised that this establishment has only a 3.2 starts. I'm glad I decided to try it because it is definitely under rated. First, the view from the rooftop is amazing. The Jupiter lighthouse is across the intercostal. Second, the food was incredible. I came during a happy hour time and order from the "snacks" menu. These were full and delicious portions. My only complain is that my waiter was hard to find. There weren't many people either. At one point I had to get up from my seat to order the rest of my meal. Topside at the Beacon has leveled up their menu. The new ceviche is so fresh and bright, and the fish sandwich (grilled or fried) is honestly perfect on any occasion. Everything is crispy, flavorful, and super fresh. Plus the rooftop views are unbeatable, especially at sunset with happy hour 4-6 . Great food, great vibe, definitely worth going.
