Its in the name folks! One of the top buffets in the area. Always fresh, hot and delicious! Kudos to the entire team of Tops!

Absolutely EVERYTHING was cold. Not room temp- seriously COLD. Not worth 1/4 The price. When I told the server she snarled something I couldn't understand. Never again read more

The food was typical China Buffet and it was okay, something's better than others. But the place is dirty, they need to get a cleaning company in there to scrub everything, walls, floors and carpeting. Carpeting is so bad it should probably be thrown out. The place is dirty! read more

Good selection. Tastes great. Drink refills were a bit slow but not too bad. It's a typical buffet so the ambience is meh. They have a rather simple selection of sushi rolls but they're still good. Worth a visit. read more

I have been going here for many years and I absolutely love their peanut chicken. Any other Chinese buffet that has peanut chicken doesn't even compare. Since Covid they don't have as much as they used to but the selections they have are still delicious. The restaurant may be outdated and has seen better days but out of all the Chinese buffets this is my favorite. I will always go back. read more

My boyfriend and I got dinner here last night, was weary of the building considering it was dirty in there. We both ate and got food poisoning. We have been so sick, food quality was poor as well. I will never be returning, and will advise those around me to never go there. The establishment needs closed. read more

absolutely horrribleee! Started with taking my son to the bathroom to wash our hands and the bathroom smells like sewage backup then my son slipped in the bathroom on their greasy floors and hit his head off the stull so I told a worker that they need a wet floor sign, she just stared at me. Didn't ask if he was ok or anything! luckily he was! Then we had to keep asking for them to take plates off our table to make room and refill our drinks. They had their kids in the restaurant with their tablets so loud that we couldn't even hear eachtoger talk, my husband had to go to the lady at the front that it was to loud. The older lady was on a FaceTime call talking and yelling so loud, passing the phone around to all the ladies up front. Then their kids were over there screaming and crying. I totally get kids will be kids considering we have 4 of them but going out for dinner and trying to enjoy ourselves and we were just so annoyed even our kids were!! Then the final straw was going to get my son ice cream and looking over and the pineapples are covered in gnats. I promise I will never go back! read more

Tops Buffet - potatoes in a sink with a spoon - Buffets Near Me - Hermitage, Pennsylvania

Buffet was mediocre at best, but the credit card fraud is what earns them one star. We ate there, paid $36 on a card and added a $10 tip. Then we see a charge for over $80. They claim that after we left they decided that we weren't charged enough and added another $40 to the total. They refused to correct the amount to the authorized charges. DO NOT USE A CARD HERE. YOU RISK THEM ADDING EXTRA CHARGES WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE!!! read more

1.) They closed the hibachi section. 2.) They no longer serve sashimi, or traditional sushi. It's California rolls as far as the eye can see. 3.) Their Keto options are severely lacking. The only thing our keto friend could possibly consume was the stick chicken or broccoli beef/chicken. (in small amounts given they've added sugar to EVERYTHING) 4.) They used to have 5 buffet tables to self serve. They now have 3, and 2 are pretty much sugar sauce over fried chicken and other cheaply made options. Everything is fried, nothing grilled. read more

Terrible. I usually hit a buffet at the start of the lunch or dinner hour to ensure the food is fresh. Definitely not the case. My visit was just before 5pm and the food had been sitting. Most of the sauces were a sticky mess. Other items were dried out. I found a few things to make it worth it to stay but there wasn't much. Even the fruit was bad. The pineapple was starting to ferment. Not good. read more

My name is Karen and I am a Chinese Buffaholic. Set me in front of a counter filled with battered chicken pieces slathered in spicy and sweet sauce and garnished with a touch of green and I will lose all control. Now that I have confessed I will add that Tops has 6 counters of sticky goodness. Naysayers will state it is not authentic Chinese cuisine and I will agree while smacking my lips and adding another serving to my plate. Say what you will, this stuff is good. Tops is just plain good. What makes it better than most buffets? Lots of picky kid selections. A counter of raw components to have cooked on a large Mongolian grill while you watch. Frog legs - never tried them but a great buffet always has an alternative meat or something with tentacles for a dad to eat and creep the kids. A whole pork roast to slice. Balls of puff pastry stuffed with sweet cream cheese. Sushi. And you know you aren't the only one loving it all because it is packed on a Friday night. Belly up to the buffet my friends! read more

The bus/server WOMAN Started a fight with me cause I asked her to dump some of my son's water out and add ice. She brought me a glass of ice. I said I don't have anywhere to pour the water out so the ice can fit and she told me to pour it into my husband's glass. Hence the fight about the worst customer service I've ever experienced. She questioned my ability as a server cause she clears tables. Actually fought with me. I wanted to slap the shit out of her. We will never go back read more

This is the best Chinese food in town & in the county!! Hands down, the best food around! Never mess up on phone orders and always a smile!! That means something to me. Every dish is authentic and I love the yellow fried rice. Yum!! Looking forward to eating in house once again. Outstanding prices read more

This has long been the best place for Chinese food in hermitage and my order yesterday was no exception. Ordered takeout for my whole family and it was all delicious and ready so quickly. I have great memories here with Sunday lunch after church, and I'm glad to see that even though I've moved away it's still a great place to eat. read more

So gross. Food was okay, but I felt so dirty as soon as I walked in. Will never go again. This place was good 10 years ago. It's time to shut it down. read more

Fastest review ever. This is a good solid three. Maybe four if you are in that kind of mood. But the negative reviews make no sense. Good service (in a buffet? Yes). Better than any buffet in Boardman or YOUNGSTOWN ohio? Yes. And the soup was blistering hot. Which I Guess is my new standard for Chinese buffets these days. Too bad. Food was good. I at at 1:30pm on Monday. Got a bit of everything. Ate everything I got. Wife who hates Chinese buffets said it was very good. So, oh what the heck just because the soup was blistering hot, making it a four out of five star rating. Just follow the rules of Chinese buffets... 1) if it is dead, don't eat there. 2) watch for what they refill, and get that. 3) read rule "2" again. read more

Horrible service! The second time we've been with zero customer service. Instead of being available, the person who should have been attentive to guests took 4 phone calls and proceeded to sit at a table and LOUDLY have a conversation. We use to enjoy eating here, but we won't be back. It's now over priced and you feel like an in inconvenience to the staff. read more

I don't know how people ever complain about a Chinese buffet it's $9.97 for dinner and they have hibachi with lots of items. The buffet had steak and pork on it which was pretty good not lots of seafood but for the price it was good. The place was clean and the servers nice I would come back read more

I love Chinese food just as much as the next person, so it's safe to say I eat from here often. They don't look like much on the outside and wouldn't be the place of my choice until you walk inside. They have nice staff who know how to get things done efficiently. I could eat from their buffet for the rest of my life. It is delicious and has very cute decorations too. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in hermitage and want quality Chinese. read more

Tried it again same bad food. Men's restroom smells like a sewer gas leak. Back seating area wall has the wall paper peeling off exposing black mold behind it. read more

I've never been to an "upscale" Chinese buffet until this. Really good food. Fresh, clean, and the staff is stereotypically attentive. Always a wide selection changed regularly. I had no problem eating the sushi after watching it swapped out regularly. The Mongolian grill is the star of the show. Choose your meats (shrimp, beef, chicken or pork) and veggies, add sauces, including oils, chili pepper, garlic, etc., and a cook fries it to perfection on a five foot wide, circular flat-top right in front of you, using bamboo sticks. It doesn't get much better. read more

Perfectly serviceable buffet-style Chinese food with other items. I eat there about twice a week because of the value, and the food is usually good. My favorite item is the honey chicken. Nothing to write home about, but nothing worth writing scathing Yelp reviews about, either. What you'd expect to find at a strip mall buffet. read more

This has been my favorite Chinese buffet so far in the area. There is a wide variety of food including stuff like pork roast and roast beef that you don't see on your typical Chinese buffet. Everything was hot. The price was what got me in. Only $6.50 for lunch on Saturday. I didn't give it a 5 because of the actual restaurant. Some of the ceiling is falling apart and the bathrooms serve the purpose but that's about it. The food is a 5. read more

Chinese buffet. I do like the fact there's a cook where you can select your ingredients from the buffet and they will cook it for you. Typical buffet fair, so much to choose from and you have to sample a lot of stuff to get your money's worth. Out of all the Chinese buffets we've tried since coming back to this area, this one is the best. read more

I'm still here waiting for other people with me to finish never posted a review this fast I only ate the dumplings everything else that I tried contradicted the next bite of food sweet then overly salty or sour or to much garlic It's like eating in a cafeteria no privacy hated it Been here for an hour and the waitress has only stopped once And when you want to tell them about the food and you couldn't eat it like myself they ignore you And one of the men bringing out new food for the buffet dropped the tongs on the floor and put them back into the food on the buffet The price wasn't bad for dinner buffet $9.25 even know outside on the window it has a lower price SEVERELY DISGUSTED!!! read more

Normal Chinese food. It's not P.F. Chang's and neither is the price everything I ate was par for Chinese buffet. Got what I was expecting

We stopped here the other day as we attempted to go to Kraynaks Nursery for our annual visit to Christmas Story Land and Santa. Didn't happen as the line was out the door and snaked through the parking lot. Too cold to stand outside with a 6-month old so we went to TOPS to eat. Pretty much the same as my original review only this time I tried there hibachi style as well. You grab a plate and place the raw meat (pork, chicken, steak) along with the raw veggies and sauce and hand it to the cook. I chose to have steak with mushrooms and water chestnuts cooked with teriyaki sauce. I know, I'm not very creative. Anyway, The cook takes it and cooks it on a circular grill and actually walks around the grill why manipulating the food with two large sticks. If there is a name for this style of cooking, I don't know what it is. When finished, they place the order on a clean plate and hand it to you. You can leave a tip for the cook of which we did because the food was pretty darn good and fresh. Is cheap and a pretty good choice for buffet style dining if in the area. read more

Excellent pricing. They have a huge selection at the buffet. The service could be improved slightly.

About like all the rest of them. They do have a grill bu I never used it. The buffet will show you 17 ways to cook a chicken!

Went to Tops for the first time with some friends who have been there before and have thoroughly enjoyed the food. I was extremely disappointed with both the quality of the food and the service, or lack thereof. I'm nowhere near picky when it comes to Chinese buffet food - typically it's all good, even when it's not. However, nearly everything on this buffet was horrible. All of the chicken dishes seemed overcooked; I thought maybe it was "just me" until someone else in my group also mentioned how difficult the chicken was to chew because the meat was so hard. The only thing that was tasty was the macaroni and cheese, so it was disappointing to go to a Chinese buffet to only eat macaroni and cheese. The service and the overall atmosphere of the place was subpar. We needed some sugar substitute for our lemon water and ended up waiting 30 minutes until we finally walked over to the server to ask her for some. She never once came to refill our drinks, and waited until we were about to leave to finally clean our plates from the table. I really wanted to like this place, because there is a large selection of food that one doesn't get at many other local Chinese buffets. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I'll take a small buffet that has decent food and good service any day. read more

Decent if you're only going for the most basic stuff after a movie. Never trust the seafood, the raw bar or any of the American dishes on the buffet. Got very sick both times I've ventured away from what I saw that was just put out. They also don't offer take out or delivery, so I prefer other Chinese places. read more

The food was absolutely terrible and it was cold. Some of it tasted so far off what it should've we couldn't even eat it. The egg drop soup had large amounts of uncooked egg whites. I can't stress how terrible it was. Do not eat here. The girl at the desk was nice enough to ask me if everything was ok and then when I politely told her no, she gave me a $5 discount which I gave to the waitress. This isn't meant to be scathing but it's my honest experience. read more

The food is usually great, but lately it has been tasting off. The last time I went, I was horrified at what I saw. The grease and what looks to be a buildup of dead skin cells has been CAKED around the buffet tables!! At first glance it might look like dirty caulking glue, but it isn't. And every time they wipe down the counters, it just picks some of it up and smears it around (I saw the smears). Walls and ceiling are filthy, don't think it has been deep cleaned since they opened...what...10 years ago? 11? Evidence of mice there too. And with raw sushi as part of the "good" eats, I'm not taking my chances. Staff is always on top of getting the food out when they run low, price is more than fair. But they can do a lot better with just basic restaurant hygiene. What they really need is to shut down, fumigate, remodel top to bottom, and make sure anything not remodeled was deeply cleaned and disinfected. read more

Me and my wife go to Tops Buffet with our 3 children constantly. The staff are always extremely kind and friendly tward my family and me. I have always found Tops Buffet clean and orderly. The food is replaced on a continuous basis so the food is ALWAYS fresh. Tops Buffet has a very large and wide variety of food from American cuisine to a Mongolian hot bar. The staff are always on top of their duties (i.e) replacing drinks to keeping your table clean. Last but not least the prices are very reasonable including their take-out prices. Tops Buffet is by far the best Chinese American restaurant in the Shenango Valley. My family and I will return to Tops Buffet for MANY MANY more years to come. Thank You Tops for having such a wonderful restaurant. read more

Have you ever seen a cockroach walk off a table and into the kitchen? Neither did I until i ate here for the first, and last time several years ago. I tried to tell the waitress but she didn't seem too concerned, so if they dont care about their restaurant then neither do I. Never again read more

I like the place. Good food and a decent size to choose from. For lunch five dollars all u can eat, great deal.

I love the food here! It's a huge restaurant, so you don't have to be right on top of other people while you eat. I keep going back for the huge variety of yummy stuff the buffet offers. The prices are good, and if you have a picky eater, they do have kiddy fare. I wouldn't recommend their cheese sticks, but who goes to a Chinese buffet to eat those anyhow? The service is also good, though I had a run in with one of their staff, literally bumping me out of the way to look at what needed to be restocked at the buffet. Other than that one incident, I love this place! read more

Absolutely worse restaurant experience I have ever had. Service members were kind and there was a great selection of food that tasted fairly good. Here is where the problem occured. 5 minutes after eating my first portion I began to feel ill. I have never experienced that before in that amount of time. I had to use the restroom where I was very ill, THEY DID NOT HAVE TOILET PAPER! This put me into a bad situation with the restroom only having 1 stall. I improvised being the intelligent person I am but it was not a pleasent experience at all. I will for sure not be eating here again. read more
