I finally tried the restaurant my husband has lovingly referred to for years as a "must stop" for his family when he was growing up. Whenever they went to visit his grandma, this was always a staple for dinner one night. I found it to be like a hometown version of Applebees or Buffalo Wild Wings - small town charm and quality fried food palooza. We split the sampler platter (gotta love a fried pickle) and I honestly loved my GTO Gyro; one of the best I have had in a while. FILLED with gyro meat. Went there today, 3-15, waited a long time for our drinks. When they did arrive our server, Izzy, told us because they took so long she would take them off the bill. As we waited another 45 minutes for our wings to arrive, Izzy finally brought them out. I commented that it took a while to get them. She did not apologize or even acknowledge I said anything. When it comes time for the bill you pay the server right at your table, you don't have the opportunity to see an itemized list of what you got. After swiping the card, I did ask for a paper copy which of course I got and noticed the drinks were still on the bill. When I called Izzy back over and mentioned this fact, she said she didn't know what to do since I had already paid the bill. She said sorry and walked away. LAST TIME EVER GOING TO THIS PLACE. Always been a fan of Quaker Steak & Lube, usually around me (independence, OH location). This is our first time in Sharon and visited a few places. Nice town! Also went to see Kraynak's in Hermitage and Daffin's Chocolate in Sharon, Pa. You can feel the history in this place. It also helps that the food is great! Their jumbo wings, in comparison to Buffalo Wild Wings are truly JUMBO! Fries are good, onion rings are breaded, usually I prefer battered but this is fresh and thunk cut so I enjoyed them too! The O-ring dipping sauce is a bit odd tho, not sure what to think of that. Over all, the place did not disappoint. When we visit Sharon again, we'll make sure to eat here again! read more

The food has always been good when we have gone. It's clean, always seems to have a welcoming atmosphere, and the decor is the best of the lines I've been to. The service can be rather slow, so make sure you plan on mingling. We like doing all you can eat nights when they have them. It's delicious and totally worth those twislers at the end. read more

Haven't been here in a few years and would not go back. Atmosphere is still fun and cool. Food is meh and over priced. Service was ok but they were obviously understaffed as it said SeT Yourself and most of the tables were dirty. Every time someone walked in they had to walk in circles looking for a clean table and then finally just stand near a dirty table and wait at least 5-10 mins until the waitress had to run over and wipe the table off. Do you believe all the hype.... It has been years since I first visited this original location so I turned to Yelp to help me refresh my memory and what I saw was surprising. I read so many negative reviews about this location and the service, it made me think how the mighty have fallen. Fast Forward some 13 years later and I along with my family found ourselves standing in front of Quaker Steak ready to give them another chance. We found a table in the back and were quickly served our drinks. I have found the absolute best Arnold Palmer ever. The only problem is you only get one refill, big problem for me. The food started coming out quickly and we dove in and tore up our nachos. Our meals soon followed and I was once again reminded who had the best wings and sauces around, sorry Hooters.Overall it was nice to see that all the negative reviews have come under management review and remedied because our service was excellent, and the food was prompt and delicious. I know those dark Covid years might have hit the restaurant industry hard even for such a historic and established place such as Quaker Steak. I visited This place with my wife several years ago and we really enjoyed it. Had very good wins game a very fun and scenic setup at the actual establishment. We are from Louisville Kentucky and we left hoping they would get one of the franchises back home. Ten years later and still not luck. But still a very cool wing establishment. Over a quarter century ago, a friend who lived in Sharon suggested a great place to stop for wings. The original Quaker Steak and Lube with buckets of wings and the crazy logo of the chicken missing a wing. Since then, I've been to a couple of other Quaker States since then sadly to find the expansion restaurants don't have the ambiance and charm of the original. A mere shadow of what this historical eatery used to be. Once known as the undisputed king of wings in this area, time has taken its toll. The wings are just okay and I honestly believe a good bit of customers that still go here often do so more for nostalgia. The burgers are still very good and they have some and tasty salads I would recommend. But for the wings, not so much. There's just too many other wing joints close by that do a much better job these days including a place called The Keg which ironically is owned by one of the original owners of The Lube. My mother-in-law and father-in-law, my wife, and kids and I have made a stop at this location an annual tradition every time we go to Kraynak's at Christmas time just a few miles away. Truth be told, I'm a vegetarian and my wife and kids are pescatarian but there is enough on the kids menu and my wife always gets the fish. Yes, it's mostly fried foods and not much for a vegeterian, but I always find something I like to eat. Decent beer selection, but the best part about this place (all of the QSL locations) is the decor. It's a unique sports bar and it's a fun place to eat. I usually get things from the appetizer menu such as nachos (I have to specify no meat), mozz sticks, pretzels, etc. I could get a salad or a wrap, but I'd also need to specify no meat, since there isn't a veggie version on the menu. The main thing they're missing is a black bean burger, but I can live knowing that this place caters to meat eaters and it makes my family happy to go there. read more

This is the original location. It may be dorky, but I enjoy going to places that were the first in a chain, have some sort of story, etc. I was impressed with the interior. You can tell it was just "fun" rather than the very "corporate" looks of other Quaker Steak locations. Other than that, it was a typical Quaker Steak experience. I love that there are so many options for the sauce on your wings. My problem is usually choosing which sauce to try! The wings are a decent size and always served with the right amount of crispiness and flavor. One of my favorite things on the menu are the "pick up pickles" They are just friend pickles, but the breading has a great flavor and the pickles retain their flavor and form. We dined with a party of 14 and despite it being a large party, the staff was efficient and attentive. I probably won't drive out to Sharon again (at least not just for Quaker Steak), but if I do find myself passing through the area, it would be my go to stop. read more

I had a great time at a quick afternoon stop-in to Quaker Steak & Lube. I'm pretty sure I'd be vegetarian if it weren't for one thing: chicken wings. I love them. Quaker Steaks' wings were top notch. They were ready quickly and had plenty of sauce. I had the Buckeye BBQ flavor and they definitely had some heat. As a girl who can only really handle a moderate heat level, I would say that the Buckeyes are the cutoff between hot and insanity. Be advised. We had a little bit of trouble finding the Quaker Steak because of some detours and then were kind of confused about what was what -- there are two bars that share the same parking lot. We definitely went to Quaker Steak, but I wonder what the other, seemingly related place was. Once we were inside, the service was good, and the atmosphere was festive -- very car-oriented and fun. We sat at the bar and not only was the waitress behind the bar attentive, but she was friendly and talkative as well. Finally, they gave us each a Twizzler with our check. We went for the Easter buffet.hostess ignored us as we stood there. She did not even acknoldge us. She was too busy with the meeting chart. We ended up stuck at a small corner table buy the buffet. This Restaurant "Ain't" What It Used To Be. This place is no longer good. As soon as I visit the area, I crave wings and I go to Quaker Steak/Sharon. The last 3 visits have been a let down. Is not just a bad night, it's a trend. Something has changed. The wings are an unnatural large size, and very rubbery. The service had been lame. I ordered a bourbon,... Bulliet, 9.00$ $9.00 for Bulleit. That's I price that I would pay in NYC, or Sydney. The wings were actually not edible. I have never not finished my order of wings...but the ladder 2 visits I left 1/2 of my order. Go to BW3 if you are guten free, or any other numerous wing places in the area. Tried the wings for the first time on AYCE wing night. it was fun, gone with a big group to watch my sister attempt the atomic wings. of course she ate them without breaking a sweat. but it was fun to see everyone at the table try a dab of the sauce and start crying. i was able to eat 1 of the atomic wing and it was pretty spicy at first but kinda died down after a minute. nonetheless a very fun experience. I got the buffet and was able to sample about 6 different flavors and it was pretty good. i liked the louisiana wings the best. the onion ring antenna appetizer was fun as well. overall experience was a good one, i enjoyed eating and laughing at the wing stories that were told of all the failed attempts. best wing in usa? i'm not so sure. heading to the original anchor bar to see how this matches, review update might be necessary after that, we shall see who has the best wings in all of the USA. read more
