My husband and I went to Top Golf as a fun activity during our honeymoon. This was both our first time at Top Golf and we enjoyed playing. When you go you are assigned a bay that you play from which includes a small open lounge area with comfortable seating. There are a wide variety of golf clubs to choose from that allow you to reach different targets. The playing and lounge area was clean. We had a waitress named Isabel ask if we wanted anything to eat or drink. We ordered glasses of water, a chicken biscuit that came with fries, and soft pretzel bites. I ordered the pretzel bites and my husband, Trevor, ordered the biscuit sandwich and fries. I wanted a snack and thought that the warm pretzel bites would be great. They are supposed to come with cheese sauce and horseradish Dijon. I have a dairy allergy so I asked if the horseradish Dijon contained dairy and was told that it did. So, I was given pretzel bites with no dip or sauce, and to my surprise, when I asked if there was any other sauce like a honey, mustard, or regular Dijon mustard, that I could dip the pretzels in, I was told there wasn't. With the pretzels costing $9 it really would've been nice if there were non-dairy dip/sauce options available. The menu didn't have many options for vegan or vegetarians. Overall, the experience at Top Golf was really enjoyable, but my one critique would be for the menu to be expanded to include more options for vegans and people with dairy allergies. Topgolf is fun, especially for beginners, and it is suitable for family nights, date nights, or a night out with friends. I've only been twice - once on a Tuesday night and on Friday night, but I had so much fun. Ambiance: Top Golf gives a classy vibe. It reminds me of the airport with the glass windows. I also like that there is a restaurant inside where you can order food and drinks while waiting for your bay. They also have billiard tables that you can play for free. Some bays have chairs, while some have wicker couches. At first, I thought the couches were cute and were better, but then I realized that there's more space if you sit in the chairs. There are heaters too if it gets too cold, but they reset or turn off every hour. I wished that the player on the monitor automatically changes after they hit the ball. There were times when the score went to someone else. I found it annoying cos every time the ball went inside the pit, my score kept going to my friends'. When it didn't go in the hole, it was when I remembered to change the player to my name from the monitor. Service: Staffs were friendly. However, you have to wait for a long time to order, to ask questions, or if you need anything from them. I feel like they should have a button or something to flag them. Food: On our first visit, I ordered the Fried Chicken Heat-which with pepper jack cheese. It was supposed to be spicy, but it wasn't spicy. The chicken was crispy and delicious. On our second visit, I ordered their Asian Sesame Wings. It was excellent, delicious. It was also spicy, which is why I enjoyed it a lot. It reminds me of BDubs' Asian Zing. We also ordered the injectable donuts, which were fun to eat. I was expecting more flavor for the bavarian creme, but all I tasted was just creme. I didn't try the chocolate sauce, but my friends liked it a lot. As for the drinks, I ordered Frozen Pina Colada for both visits. It doesn't taste like there's alcohol in it. On our second visit, I asked to add a float of Myers' Original Dark Rum. I tasted it, but the flavor was already gone after a few sips. Price: The food prices are affordable. The drinks can get a bit expensive, but we already expected that. I recommend going during their happy hours or on Tuesdays when they have half offs for the bays. Top Golf is a fun activity for everyone. I am horrible at golf, but the people I'm with and the ambiance make up for it. Super fun to do for a date night! Recently went golfing here for the first time and I had so much fun. The drinks were excellent as well as the food selection. We had to wait about an hour to actually go out and golf because it was so packed so I definitely recommend making a reservation. The good thing is the hour went by so quick because there is a bar you can sit at and have food and drinks with TVs with plenty of sports on to watch. Received a gift card for Father's Day and went here for a practice session instead of the normal driving range. They have deals going for a bay for $15 through noon. Great change of pace than the normal range. If I had to find a negative, it would be that the balls are like rocks. They are likely Nitros or Top Flites. I'm not a golfer and don't keep up with golf despite living in Augusta, GA for almost 4 years. Anywho! This was also not a traditional visit, but I don't think I'll find myself at Topgolf in the near future, mainly because it's kinda pricy lol. We came here for a private event for my husband's work party. The event area was very classy looking and the tables were huge. Can easily fit 8/9 folks per table. Right outside the event space are golf bays, and there were several rented for the event. The bays were very nice. Clean with comfortable outdoor seating, and the option to turn the heater on. We had an issue as one side didn't realize they had turned ours on and the switch was at the other end on the wall (we had a bay close to the end). Let me tell you, it was cold that evening, but that heater? I think I know what marshmallows feel like being toasted now. They provided food for the event and.. I wasn't a fan. The only thing we all raved about was the beef tenderloin, though the chocolate chip cookies were nice too. Everything else was very dry (various chicken dishes) and bland. There was also an open bar, and I got the blueberry lemon drop. I swear it put so much hair on my chest, Sasquatch could never. I'd get it again haha. *I wanted to give a huge shout out to Autumn!* There were several servers but she was always there when we needed her. Very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. She helped us out with questions regarding food and our kids (picky eaters), and even helped us get children clubs so they could "golf" too lol. It's expensive. But it can be fun for sure. If you're worried about it being cold in the winter, their heating lamps will set your face on fire. JUST KIDDING!! But seriously, the heat lamps had us nice and toasty on a brisk Saturday morning. I actually had to take my coat off. If it's been awhile for you at topgolf like it's been for me, they no longer issue physical membership cards. You just sign in with your email address or phone number. It's still an additional $5 if you don't have a membership. The prices have gone up, just as everything else has. If you're a hero membership aka military your games are already discounted. Be sure to fill out those email surveys as sometimes it can land you a $10 off coupon. If you want to stretch your money a little further, go in the mornings. The later in the day you go the more the cost goes up. Plus mornings aren't typically crowded which is how I like it. There's six players to a bay. The price is one flat fee not per player. There are multiple types of games you can play. Just make sure when you switch players you make sure your name is highlighted, otherwise you're making someone's else score better or worse. Haha you can always manually edit the score, but it can be time consuming. If you're a lefty, just be sure to ask for those clubs at the desk. They still have the foosball, shuffleboard and pool tables, but you now have to leave a credit card to check them out. They're still free, but in case someone walks off with them or damages them they charge it to your card. Their food is alright. This time I just ordered their hot cocoa which for $7 I would not recommend. It was mediocre to sub par. It lacked in taste and was watered down. It looked way better than it tasted. read more

Second time coming to this specific Topgolf. The golfing part was fun, and we paid a bit cheaper since we went between 12-5pm on a Wednesday instead of coming at night like we usually do. That was a plus. The drinks were drinks. Tasted just like they do everywhere else. Had a few Lagunitas pitchers and spiked strawberry and spiked black cherry lemonades. Now, after this second experience, I can for sure say I would never eat a meal here again. Our lunch was underwhelming. The best thing we ate was the Buffalo chicken dip. My brother got the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and a side salad. Our server was new and had no idea what dressings they had. That wasn't the greatest sign, but she was friendly and went to get answers from a manager or another server. The side salad had half wilted and limp looking leaves. Gross.... We sent it back, and they came back with another one that looked about the same. Kitchen said it was the type of lettuce/leaves that they have there. Why would you serve that? At this point, my brother didn't even want anything else, but we asked for a fruit cup to replace the salad. We didn't know it would be an additional charge to change something we sent back twice for something else. Oh well. Fruit was fresh and much better than the salad. We also had an overly cooked smokehouse burger that got sent back since we asked for medium rare and got well done. The second one that came back medium rare and juicy but lacked seasoning and flavor. Bummer Grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and a side salad. Salad leaves were wilted. Chicken was dry and burnt on the outside. 2 outta 5 Smokehouse burger for 2 different people. One said 5 outta 5. The other said 2.5 outta 5 and had to get it redone since it was well done instead of medium rare Chicken tres tacos. Tortillas seemed cold and not even warmed up. Slaw was flavorful though. 3.5 outta 5 Buffalo chicken dip. Best food item we had for the day here. Had actually chicken chunks but felt like chicken from a can. So this was my first topgolf experience and I will be making it a regular thing!! We went from my husband's work party and I cannot express how awesome the staff were!! The drinks and food were both delicious and I can't recommend the mango margaritas enough!! My top golf ambassadors were Audrey, Zach and Ndeye and all went above and beyond to make sure we all were having a good time and had good and drinks!! I had the pleasure of meeting Colleen as well towards the end of the evening as we were wrapping things up and she just could not have been a better host for the entire evening. The venue itself is beautiful. It's huge and the outdoor units of the driving range are heated which is awesome! TOP Golf is an amazing place! You can rent stalls to hit drives from, and there are targets to aim for which is pretty cool. They cater to business events where you can reward employees too. But today, my wife and I wanted a cool sports bar to go to to watch the Dallas Cowboys game. We used to like Buffalo Wild Wings but the food hasn't been great lately. So I decided to take her here for the game, and it's awesome. The bartender has been really taking good care of us, putting the Dallas Cowboys game on we wanted to watch. Topgolf is fun, even if you aren't good at Golf. It's a really cool concept and a neat location and place to try out. In non-COVID times, I came a few years ago with co-workers for a bonding event and it was a good time. You can have a great time at your bay at the table, order food, order drinks, really get into it. It's not much different now except you should really reserve your bay online well in advance, on high traffic nights like weekends, it's $30 to reserve the bay with a card. If it's during the slower times during the week, it's free to reserve the bay. We had a 4:45 reservation and stayed for 2 hours on a Saturday, when we left at around 7pm, there was a long line out front of people waiting. No thanks. They have everyone wear masks inside, but you can take them off at your bay. They are not spacing the bays out, you're right beside other people. They have added a large sneeze-guard hanging plastic curtain between the table area where you would eat. We wore our masks the entire time, even in our bay, but many others did not and took them off in the Bay Area. I didn't love that bc it's still all open-air and close together. We ordered two appetizers to snack on while we were here and both were very good. We chose the chicken nachos which was a small serving of thick chips smothered with cheese, chicken, and tomatoes with sour cream on the side, some guac, and jalapeños. My fav were the fried macaroni bites, so delicious, served with a marinara and ranch sauce for dipping. YUM! The staff were friendly and the gal who checked us in and explained everything was very sweet, as was our waitress. I had a great time - I will likely wait until after COVID to visit again, but they're doing their best and it was fun to get out and hit some balls. read more

It's been 4 years since I've been to Topgolf. This gathering of 18 was on a Sunday evening 5-8pm. It was a team building experience that was catered with their food. Micah was our host and welcomed us with a sign specifically for us which was super nice. We had 3 bays. As everyone from our party entered, Micah helped us sign in and showed us where to get drinks. We all had such a wonderful time. The food was delicious. Our bar consisted of salad with cilantro poblano dressing, fajita chicken, fajita steak, cilantro rice, tortillas, and all the fixings. I love how accommodating they were with my 10 year old son. He needed smaller clubs and they brought him some. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and so did everyone else in our party. Micah was great. The food was delicious. With 18 people, 3 hours golfing, and a Mexican food spread, it was about $100 per person. I felt this was a bit pricey, but I understand everything has gone up. My son had a wonderful time, and to be honest, that's all that matters to me! We will definitely be back!! read more

Came here on a whim with my daughter not knowing what to expect. I didn't know if she's enjoy it, hate it, etc. I was very pleasantly surprised on how much fun she had and how great the staff were. I'll be honest, I've never been able to actually make a reservation here. I'm convinced that you need to make them quite far in advance. It's ok though. We seem to come in very off-hours which makes it easy for us to just arrive, wait no greater than 15 minutes, and then enjoy ourselves. The staff has always be great. Very patient and willing to help in any way they can. The food, is what I'd say is elevated bar food to very respectful restaurant locale in a bar setting. Overall, I know for sure I'll be back since my daughter has so much fun. However, my only gripe is that I think the electronics of the area are really starting to go bad. You pay for the time you use the bay. Everyone has to have a card and it costs $5 for one so make sure you keep it when you leave. You can have your stats kept on there.... some people get real serious about it. Staff is a hit or miss. I have been and had a very attentive server who brought food and drinks (and refills)... other times I've had it be very minimal. I recommend taking a group of friends, enjoy a beer, and some appetizers. I visited this located back in 2017 maybe a year after it opened. I was home for the holidays in December and had cousins visiting from Toronto so we decided to go here one night. It was pretty cold that night but thanks to the heaters, I was super cozy and even took a quick nap (long day of traveling!) while my party played a few games. Definitely make a reservation in advance. I've been home a few times over the years and always tried to reserve a bay a few days before, but it always seems to be full. Top Golf has always been somewhere I enjoyed going. I haven't been to Top Golf in over 8 years because: One I don't have friends to go with usually. Two I am not a Golfer and I frequently feel as if I will miss the golf ball. I went with my brother and a couple of my friends from work. Overall it was a great time. It was a Thursday night and we paid $90 for a bay for 2 hours. Split that up against 6 people and it came out to $15 a person! That is a stellar price and it was not packed and had plenty bays. I forgot to take pictures of the facility but it was fairly clean. It does have a bar area and you can order food at your bay. The only cons I have with Top Golf is that the ball registry is off. Whenever I hit the ball into a target it was a hit or miss on whether I would get my points. And in a group full of competitive people, every point counts lol. The only other thing is the plethora of golf balls on the field. Imagine 30 bays hitting golf balls for an hour and a half, and then the collector finally goes to grab the balls. TopGolf was very fun! I came for a birthday party (someone in their late 30s) and this is definitely a great venue for parties of all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed golfing here, although I thought it was like put put golf with different holes, but it's actually just aiming into a large field and getting points for how far the golf ball can go. It sounds basic, but it gets very fun and competitive and you can choose the different games with different scoring objectives that you can play with your friends. It's not the best place to go in the Winter as it does have an outdoor aspect, but I love that the stations are heated. Additionally, the food is pretty good here too, I had the steak tacos with the corn tortillas and they were very flavorful and also had a nice, sweet kick! Went to Top Golf for the fifth time, but it's been a while. Nobody here wears masks. The cleanliness was good and the design of this place is trendy. We ordered nachos and pretzel bites, and some drinks. The food was good but way overpriced for the small portion. It's $14 for chicken nachos and there were only 8 nacho chips with toppings on them, not a pile of nachos like you'd expect. The pretzel bites were also small and $8.75. Before ordering I had to find an employee to order food, no one approached us. Also we had a toddler and wanted toddler clubs but there were none available. This is always a fun place to go with co-workers or for a date night. You can visit here anytime of the year because they have heaters over each bay. The food is okay, nothing that blew me away, but not terrible. We started with the pretzel bites, which came with a cheese sauce and a spicy mustard. The burger itself was pretty thin like they pressed it hard into the griddle, releasing all the juices, but the flavor was still good. I tried the brisket breakfast skillet, which consisted of potatoes, egg, brisket, peppers and topped with scallions. The flavor was very bland and it tasted greasy. They could tweak their recipe slightly and make this dish great if they added a little spice and a creamy element. I had some of the cheese sauce left over from my pretzel bites, I put that on my skillet dish and it added a lot of missing flavor. Maybe some fresh sliced jalapeños would have been really nice on it as well. The service was great as well as the price and value of the overall experience. Initially our bay had a table with bar height stools but because my knees hate me we had to ask for a bay with a pit sofa. The folks here are not only accommodating but friendly. As they made fools of themselves i devoured one of the best Western burgers ever made! Cooked perfectly, the fries were crunchy and yummy and even though Pepsi wasn't on the menu, I so enjoyed my day here that when his brother & wife returned and they wanted to go back I totally made myself available for that perfect burger. It was quite messy and I didn't even care that I wore BBQ sauce home on my blouse. Oh, my sister in law ordered some of the most delicious queso dip. Me and my wife have seen a couple TopGolf's in other states but never had the chance to go to one, this was our very first time. I always thought " Whats so special about a fancy driving range?". Well this definitely shut me up! LOL. My friends wanted to go out on a weekend here and said its very fun! Me and my wife were skeptical at first but thought what the heck! Once we arrived to the business the parking was vast! People were coming in and out of the facility and they had a ramp for people with wheelchairs and strollers. Once we got inside we were greeted by staff and also The Kool-Aid man and a Minion. The atmosphere was awesome and the bar to the right was amazing! Once everyone got together we were shown to our section on the top floor (which the facility has 3 floors) and then shown how the games work and also the food and drink menu. You can choose various games from the screen and input your names and score into the screen. We had such a blast! We also ordered drinks and food. The food was amazing and the appetizers were perfect! The cauliflower flatbread was amazing and the wings were delicious! After around a half dozen times checking out Top Golf VB I'm a fan. Although not dirt cheap entertainment you can get deals if your timing is right. Over 45 locations are in the U.S. with Las Vegas being a signature with connected hotel. Also 3 in UK and 1 in Australia. The location is accessed off either Newtown Rd or Withchduck. My understanding is that eventually the Witchduck access will be closed off with construction being completed. Road visibility is awesome off I264. Parking is plentiful and lot as well as walk up clean. Landscaping is maintained. A concierge desk is to your left as you enter. On my first visit I was completely ignored here and had to get a manager assistance. In order to golf you need to register at Guest Services and have a membership card that cost $5. There are package levels that can make it more reasonable. Golf as you go is pricy on weekends and often a wait in warmer weather. Virginia Beach climate is pretty good 9 out of 12. Either way they are open year around. After checking in enjoy a full service bar area with a a good size seating area. They also offer a private event room that accommodate approximately 50, or more. Cocktails push the limit on pricing and have been fair at best. Craft beer selection extremely weak. Staff has been meh. They also offer pool tables and games at the lower level. Large TV's are around with comfortable seating. The most memorable visit at Top Golf was a Yelp UYE attended by around five. We got two bays on a weekday and ordered food. The equipment worked fine and it was easy to use. The clubs are provided, but you can upgrade for additional cost if you like. There is no up charge bringing your own clubs. Our waitress was attentive and the group ordered a variety of apps that were all ok in taste. One example was a nachos with chicken. It looked better than taste. Their signature fun snack is donut balls that you inject frosting. Pricing is fair. The staff is designated to a few bays in the same proximity, so they are always around to assist. The waitress was friendly and helpful. This was a worthwhile event and fun. On one occasion with in the bar/dining area I interacted with a manager when my son's burger was not made properly. It was handled professionally and the sandwich remade. I did not ask, but it was removed from the bill. I had a Sunrise burger and it was just ok. The golf portion of the review is stronger than food and beverage. Since this is more about golfing than food in my opinion I'm comfortable with a weak four star rating. Top Golf will not be a regular for me, but in the few years open has offered a fun place to go with friends and family. For children Summer golfing camps are offered if your wanting to get your child started in the sport. read more
