If the customer wants draft beer, then the server should get the draft beer. So we had to go upstairs ourselves to get our beer. This should not be the case. We were here and have a time limit. Don't try to manage your reservation online. The link in my confirmation email did not work. The virtual assistant I "spoke" with was of no help. The only options I received were to use the Top Golf app or go by in person. I loaded the app but I was only able to continue as a guest, which did not allow me to manage my reservation. They have a nice indoor bar and they have waiters that would love to come out and get orders and drink drinks. It may be on the pricey side but it's totally worth it. This place is a scam. I went there before noon by myself to hit some golf balls and they told me there wasn't anything available even though it was half empty. I noticed that over an hour or more while sitting in the bar area that no one even showed up. If they have a minimum to play there they should say so not just not allow you to play. I hate to use the race card too but I didn't see many other African Americans there either. I've attended there in the past as part of a work group and didn't have any issues. Do better Top Golf. We love coming to top golf for family fun. But this experience has been the worst by far. We arrived at 5 or so, and thought we were added to the wait list. So my fiancé and I went to sit at the bar, after an hour and a half we went to see why the app was saying "we already had a group". The front desk gentleman was sweet, but it looked like he hadn't ever put us on the waiting list. And told us it was another 2 hours before we get a bay. Provided no explanation and began adding us to the waitlist. So we waited an hour and a half with not being on the waiting list to begin with (or our reservation was given to someone else). We had a total of 2 drinks each, and the bartender closed our tab without asking. We will be going to Popstroke to have our fun. Not a good experience this time around. No apologies. No reasoning. We came here to celebrate my youngest son's birthday! I invited my sister and brother-in-law, and of course wanted the upstairs to show my kids. There was quite an extensive wait, but I did not make any party reservations (oh well) I still checked in on the app and it said about 2 1/2 three hours however, when it was about 30 minutes into checking in, my time changed another 30 minutes!? Evidently, this is normal. There are those who have reserved and paid for their space in advance. Apparently those who haven't, please expect to get the bottom level....... Even though I didn't pay, I was willing to wait! There had to be some type of logistical process that would assist parties without rsvps, right? After numerous trips to find out about our status, I explained what my special requests were, and understood that there may be a longer wait. Thankfully, the person I was speaking to intervened the third time around when I addressed another representative. This time around I was told it may be a longer wait since I declined their initial offer. I had no idea the table they offered would be such an issue to swap. I asked to pass it to the person after me and I'd be happy to take the next spot. The person I have been talking to overheard the situation and stepped in and let me know it would be five minutes because they had a lot of empty spaces. I'm not certain of protocol but it was extremely nice of the young lady to keep her eyes peeled to assist. Definitely not expected but greatly appreciated. As far as pics of food. I had a fantastic experience at top golf tonight. They are practicing COVID safety measures and no mask is needed once in a bay. We played for a couple hours and had a blast hitting balls and socializing. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the pepperoni flat bread, bbq boneless wings, fries, and tater tots. The flat bread was absolutely delicious. They made sure that there were 2 pepperonis on each slice of flat bread, and it was fresh and hot when it got to our table. The aioli sauce that came with the tater tots was on point. I was a big fan. We finished up the night with the cookie skillet and if you are a chocolate lover I would highly recommend that dessert. It was absolutely delicious and came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. All of the staff here were absolutely great and made us feel comfortable with anything and everything. I have never made a review on Yelp, but I feel like I just had to because my dad and I had the BEST time here. My dad has recently relocated to San Antonio for work and I was staying with him in his first week to help him settle in, get the lay of the land, etc. For years, my dad and I's favorite activity to do is Topgolf. We have one near us in Northern California, so we decided to give this San Antonio location a try. We were not disappointed! The location itself was so nice. Much more high tech than we were used to back home, and we also had our first experience on the first floor of bays. Food was delicious and we ate our weight in chicken wings. What really inspired me to write this review though was the exceptional service. Our server, Esther (was their name I believe) was the best! Topgolf can get super busy (especially during the weekend), so if you already know what day and time you'd want to visit make sure to make a reservation online. That way you don't have to wait an hour (or two) waiting for your chance to play. - Don't really feel like making a reservation, but don't know what is the best time to visit? Highly recommend checking their page on google maps. You can see how busy it is hour by hour. - Did you know you can play different kinds of games? Yes! My absolute favorite is the angry birds game. It is perfect for the folks that are just hitting balls for fun. - Hungry? Look no further because Topgolf has an amazing menu! Highly recommend getting their fried mac n cheese bites. top golf is top golf there isn't much to say other than that.. It is always a good time to go. What seems to set location to location apart is the staff and the service. I wasn't able to visit the location back in California due to their hiring practices and black listed myself from their establishment, so I was relieved that we had one here to try out again. The staff was nice, the wait times long, but that is to be expected to get into a bay. The food was good and the drinks were made nice and balanced. The price although comparative to a bowling alley are competitive, but it was a nice surprise to be there on Tuesday for half price Tuesday. Unfortunately. for this location, they are closed now until feb for a remodel, but I cant wait to go back and see what changes were made I hope they dont impact the cost as it is already on the high side. The only issue I had was the injectable donuts came back 3 times burnt with little to no correction other than a quick sorry, but overall good times and I think they can earn that 5th star back with consistency! read more

I really love Topgolf...the game. It's a ton of fun! Not to mention they make the gameplay accessible to golfers and non-golfers alike. That's a major strength. The menu is pretty good and plenty of delicious beverages to choose from. I decided to become a platinum member this month so my son and I could go more often and not break the bank. If you go once a week... it is more than worth it. The reason I've knocked it down a star is the back end. Signing up for platinum membership took two paper forms followed by an online form. Signing up for the waitlist is nice but only accurate on the wait times about 50% of the time so far. And last but not least, you are supposed to get 20% off food and non alcoholic beverages as a platinum member but I have yet to have the server give me a bill with the discount. It usually takes at least two visits to straighten out the bill. The flag is nice touch but also arrives about 30% of the time. Oh and the platinum parking spots are also pretty cool but are often filled. All in all though... I love the place and if they get some of the back end stuff fixed, an easy 5 stars from me. read more

And after missing A LOT and cussing profusely to myself, I usually settle down and select targeted games to work on my chipping. Cons: Expensive. Golf is for rich people. I'm not. I started going here after an out of town friend wanted to. Frankly I was nervous because I suck at golf and am poor. Nothing like a poor unskilled guy around rich athletes! Except there were no pro-golf athletes, it was just a bunch of posers like me sprinkled with very few people who could actually swing. A-ha! I DO fit in! Pro Tips: I think there are discounts on select days and times like Tuesday during normal work hours. So if you're doing a "Stay-cation", this might be good for you to save some bucks. And there will be less people around to judge your technique. Whatever, I've seen people accidentally lose their club and launch it out into the green. I've also seen people knock the crap out of a ball but hit it so badly it bounced off furniture around them and make their friends run for cover (rare but it happens, and there are partitions in place so it's safe. Customer service at TopGolf is very poor. Over the phone, there are not anyone available to assist you at the physical location or facility. I made a reservation online that I wanted to modify about 22hrs before it's appointed time. I was not allowed to change it. If I did not cancel it, I would've been charged the full amount even though I needed a later time. And by cancelling it, I lose my deposit! I wanted to patronize the company but at a later time and it did not matter at all! They are not customer friendly. Just had another great experience at top golf to enjoy my partner's birthday. This time since we went on a weeknight we didn't have to wait at all and were given a bay right away. Our server Jacob went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. On this visit we sampled the Buffalo wings, pretzel bites, classic burger, turkey avocado wrap, Cobb salad and chicken tenders. All of the food came out quickly and was tasty. Top golf recently updated all of their systems so there are more games and more TVs. As far as covid safety goes we saw the staff sanitizing they bays between use, all staff were wearing masks and there is plexiglass between each bay. For being my first time it was a pretty fun experience. I could tell the place was popular when I had to park quite a ways away from the front doors! Walking into the establishment I was greeted by lots of smiles from the staff. I was joining a birthday celebration for my nephew and while we waited a whole for our golf game to start we spent some time downstairs in the game arcade room. The atmosphere was very inviting and the music playing had me dancing all night long!! Once we were finally seated for our set of golf we grabbed some dinner and I couldn't be happier! However, each and every time I've encountered a problem in San Antonio, (and there have been MANY), Lou has always been able to rectify the problem, no matter the situation!
