Omar was the absolute best! Highly suggest! Ask for Omar at the bar. He helped us and suggested drinks. The vibes were immaculate.

We had a double event at Picks Bar and it went wonderful. We had a Friends Speed Dating then Karaoke and the bar was a great venue. The initial event was perfect because there was enough space for everyone to move around and mingle after. For Karaoke the stage was perfect and the dj gave time in between singers with music so everyone was dancing and feeling the vibe. The staff was great and seemed in a great mood. A couple downsides, the bar has a small food menu so wish it was larger, they only had 2 bartenders so it would have been nice with 1 or 2 more and they kept leaving the side door open and it was pretty cold that night. Overall, had a good time and would definitely come back to watch a Spurs game, for sure. read more

My friend and I decided to start our evening with the happy hour at Picks. The inside had a fun atmosphere with photo opportunities/ decorations all around. When we first arrived, we sat at the bar and looked at the menu. I decided to order the frozen drink of the day but they said it hadn't frozen correctly so it wasn't available. I then decided to order a Margarita. The bartender was very friendly and was happy to answer questions when I asked what certain drinks were. My friend and I then ordered the tacos and BLT to share. The tacos were so small and not filling at all (barely a snack) so I wouldn't recommend them. As for the BLT, they were out of lettuce and didn't have pickles to add so it ended up being just a bacon and tomatoes sandwich. It wasn't bad but definitely wasn't something I'd order again. After we finished the margs, we switched to the Como La Flor drink which was beautiful and unique. I would order this again taste wise. I will say, the drinks all seemed very light on alcohol compared to the pours at some other local bars. I would visit again for the fun ambiance but would not go outside of their happy hour. read more

My girls and I were on a hunt for a bar to visit for girls night. We ended up at Picks bar after have a look at what they had to offer. It's a nice bar. They have a stage where a live band plays and plenty of seating both inside and out. We sat outside since it was a nice night. We arrived during happy hour so drinks were reasonably priced. I order a pitcher of Michelob Ultra, a drink with some banana in it and a como la flor drink. It came out to 47 dollars. Everything was really good. We also order chips and queso, fries, and a BLT with fries. The food was on point. That was two drinks came out to 39. It did start to get pricy later on in the evening. My friend bought a round of como la flor drinks (3) that came out to 36 dollars. I would suggest coming during happy hour since it is a little cheaper. Overall, I would rate the service pretty great. Atmosphere is perfect and music was amazing. I would definitely recommend and come back with friends. I did feel like I got what I paid for so not complaining just simply saying that it can be pricey, so just be aware. Can't wait to come back. This is the perfect Sunday Funday place!!!! The vibe, live music, decor and staff are all FIVE STARS!!! The Happy Hour is the best around and $18 Margarita Pitchers is such an amazing price! Cute photo ops all over the bar and the outside patio is perfect for a fall sunny day. Small intimate areas to catch up with the girls or to catch the game outside on one of the many TV's! I came here with friends over the weekend, and the place surprisingly was more than I expected. The place was really fancy looking and everything was clean. They had a small stage where a band was playing music live. You can go look at their site to see what events they do over the month, so if you like karaoke, you can go on a day they do that. I liked that they had an outside patio you can sit at to enjoy the atmosphere and good weather. The bartenders/waiters were very attentive and served us very quickly. Everyone we talked with was great. The fries and chips/queso were good; nice snacks to enjoy your drinks with. The BLT my friend ordered was good portion size, and she liked it very much. We came during happy hour so we were able to buy cocktails/drinks at a good price. I think my favorite drink was the como la flor. It had such a pretty color with a flower on top too. The beer here was also good and can get a pitcher of beer to share with friends. However, after happy hour was over, the cocktails do get pricey and recommend to look up the times they do happy hour if you want a good price on drinks. Besides that, everything else was great. This place is great! The aesthetics are really cool and great pricing during happy hour. My coworker and I came for drinks right when they were opening at 4pm on a Monday, so I got some photos of the place empty. It's all night Happy Hour on Monday and they had some live music playing! The drinks were tasty and cheap for HH. I enjoyed the dragon daiquiri (I think it had a different name, but close enough). My coworker liked the traditional marg on the rocks. The elotes was tasty too, but a pretty small portion. Definitely just for one, and not enough to share. The chips and queso was big enough to share. I enjoy the place and everyone working there was really nice. It might be my new favorite spot in town for casual drinks in the afternoon. I really want to go back for the drag brunches! I've gone to Paramour and hated how overpriced their menu was. So I'm excited that Picks provides the performers and much more reasonable pricing for food and drinks. If you like a good show, (by far this is one of the best) suggest you make reservations in advance. Yes, I have seen plenty of shows even at the Paradise in South Beach. Picks seems like a great place to go with a group of people during the evening or weekend. It wasn't the best time to go for a weekday happy hour. Wanting to try Picks, I stopped a few weeks ago because I was trying to avoid the insane amount of traffic on both 1604 and the feeder. They have happy hour drink specials. I got a wine which wasn't good. Thinking back, I should have gotten a mixed drink since this is more of a bar vs wine place. I also was reviewing the menus and was informed the kitchen wasn't open. Bummer. I love some good bar food and I was hungry. I'll give them another shot some other time and hopefully get to try some bar food. read more

This is an Instagram-able bar. It had swings and something fascinating in the women's bathroom. We paid a hefty cover ($35 each) for the first time in 20 years to hear a band we've never heard of. We rolled in around 9PM on Saturday night - no cover and the place was hoppin'. Parking was still ok at the other end of the strip center, but a large section was cordoned off in front of Pick's. I'm told (but have not confirmed) valet parking is free in this area if you tell them you are going to Pick's. We got there before the live band went on stage and hugged a corner of the bar because all of the tables were reserved (you have to pay to reserve them, otherwise you don't sit). No worries for us though - we were there for the music, the band, the dancing! By the time we left around midnight, the place was packed - although the dance floor looks small, there was still enough room for me to move around and show off my mad break dancing skillz (yes, with a "Z"). We went to Picks last night to see Grupo Metal in a "Pop-Up" show. The place is really fun! They have Indoor and outdoor seating along with a full and creative bar menu as well as food. The atmosphere was so positive- this is something we both noticed right away. The staff were all so HAPPY!! We even told one of the employees that and she said it was a great place to work and that the owners of Picks were great to the employees. Well- it showed and we felt it! Of course the band was amazing and we will be back for other event. Apparently they don't serve full menu till after 4 on a Sunday not advertised anywhere. Bar area clean, but empty maybe two tables. One waitress not very attentive.
