We paid $100 for 2 hours in a karaoke room for a group gathering. There was no one in the bar for most of that two hours. The room was extremely warm as there are no shades on the high glass windows. The price was not inherently problematic. However, they do not have a server until 8 (that was what we were told.by the bartender), so you have to go to the bar for your drinks. Also, the karaoke is just an iPad with regular YouTube to find your songs on. You get to watch lots of ads while waiting for your song, which eats into your time. All in all, you could YouTube on your phone for free on the patio and probably have a very similar experience. read more

Not certain the name of who tended my order however, she is a young, dye blonde hair, wearing a black hoodie tonight. I ordered 2 double/short crown & cokes that tasted mostly like cokes with a splash of crown. I informed the bartender and she immediately got offended as I also asked why there were no itemized listed of drinks on both receipts I recieved. She responsed with attitude, "I can get it for you if you request it" as if this is an ordinary procedure for those unaware. Then as I continued to explain I'd rather return the 2 double crown & cokes for 1 double amaretto on the rocks, she had the nerve to question my request by saying "Well, you saw me making your drinks?!", where I responded "Absolutely I did not." She continued to fix my drinks with sass, to which at this point I just wanted my drinks, give her a minimal tip only to show her that it isn't that big of a deal and to "cheer up" as I stated on the ticket WITH her undeserving minimal tip. I came here this past weekend with friends hearing much about the bar / games they had. We did come pretty early, so not many folks were here but might get busy at night. The bartender we had was very nice and was able to get us our drinks fairly quickly. They had $5 beer, which wasn't too bad, but also had options to buy Fiesta metal and shirts, which looked cool. The games they had some were pretty cool. Some of the games were free and others like the mini tables on the side you had to pay a quarter (Pacman for example definitely brought me back when I was younger) I did expect to see more there but was a small bar. They also had a patio in the back too for folks to sit outside. There were some rooms too that look like you could rent out for maybe a special event but again pretty small, so make sure you look it up first before you book it. We came here a few weeks after they opened. We saw they were opening soon when we stopped at Camp 1604 the week before. I hope they were just experiencing some opening woes, because our experience was not great. The staff was great, but the games were not. None of the table games worked, but all seemed to be plugged in. The skee-ball machines were free, but they only had a few balls each and weren't in good condition. The arcade games were retro, which seemed cool. We had a decent amount of quarters lost to games that did not work. Despite this, everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun! The space was really nice. There were a couple of private karaoke rooms and a good outdoor area. Supposedly, there is a speakeasy, but we weren't able to find it. We will definitely give this place another shot read more

Then it took about 30 minutes total to get the speaker system right. My friends had fun regardless because of each other's company and we had brought our own food. At no point did the staff mention a policy stating this and at no point did I see signs stating this policy. When I asked a bartender where this 20% added gratuity is stated or shown, he said "that's just what they told us." I have no problem leaving a tip for a bar tab but any tip should be determined by myself based on service. We argued with the manager, and after ugly looks and attitude she took off the "gratuity." We usually have no issues with the staff, but this time around the bartenders were extremely rude, especially the manager, Jude. Our party got charged for stealing a charger/mic cord. Jude blew us off and was being extremely unprofessional, cussing at us and threatening to fire her staff if they tried to talk to us. This was a terrible experience. This Sunday, I was celebrating my birthday with my friends and decided to book a karaoke room. Since we arrived, the staff was very rude. Either way, we stayed for karaoke. I signed the policy paper with the manager Jude, asked her questions about it, and was let into the room by Tyanie, where she only handed me 2 microphones and left the room. No one checked in on us the entire 2 hours of our karaoke time nor gave us any service in the room. We have done karaoke here many times before and we always get service in our room. After the 2 hours were up and I was ready to check out, I signed my receipt of $122 ($100 for 2 hours of karaoke and a 20% gratuity fee--which I wasn't told prior about) Suddenly, Jude stopped me and told me there was one cord missing and accused us of stealing it. Why would we take a random cord??? She then wanted to charge me $50 for the cord that was not in the room before we showed up. My friends and I took videos and pictures of the room within the first minutes of being there and there was only ONE cord connected to the TV, not 2 cords as claimed by her. I asked Jude to please check the cameras and we tried to show her the videos and pictures we took, but she kept refusing to check the cameras or see the pictures and videos. The entire time we tried to have a conversation with her calmly, she kept rolling her eyes, raising her voice at us, and calling us names. I stayed polite and understanding the entire time. I never raised my voice with her as I'm not a confrontational person, and Jude started becoming so aggressive to the point where I had to call San Antonio PD because I was afraid for my and my friends' safety. Jude also told every bartender in the bar to stop talking to us and told them to refuse us service (We witnessed this and one of the bartenders told us she did this). She charged me $50 for the cord + a 20% gratuity fee that we were not informed about prior and didn't agree with because no one gave us service the entirety of our karaoke session. We had to step outside of the room and open a different tab to try and get a drink. And they weren't busy or understaffed. The staff also kept changing their stories about the situation: the barback with glasses lied and said he opened the room for me and checked the room beforehand, which was not true at all because Tyanie was the one who walked into the room with me, and there was only one cord. While I am very upset that they charged me $50 for a cord we didn't take, I am even more distraught about how the situation was handled and how we were treated. I ended up in tears and suffered from a panic attack during the ordeal. Jude Hodges is extremely unprofessional and we believe she racially profiled our group through the accusations and comments she was making. They could've handled the situation a lot better by showing compassion and respect, instead, Jude decided to profile us, harass us, and be extremely aggressive with her behavior when it was not necessary. It breaks my heart that I was treated and degraded so horribly on my birthday, especially when my friends drove hours from out of town to be here and I was highly recommending this place before we showed up. I used to be a regular here and never had any problems before. The only people who at least tried to de-escalate the situation by having a conversation and treating us with respect were Z, RJ, and the nice bartender Mary. However, no one gave us a solution and told us they would check the cameras the next day (Monday). There's now a new charge on my account instead of the one I initially signed. I never signed a receipt for the new charge of what they accused us of. read more
