I love the mimosa bar, just order a glass and you get to walk up and fill it with fruits, juices, candies- everything to your hearts content and just super customizable. You can join the waitlist online of they have one, even if it's a packed house service is quick and for an establishment lined with tv screens playing whatever that days big game is, it's still easy enough to have a conversation without having to yell over anything. Change is hard for some! RIP Greek Island Calamari (insert crying emoji)- formerly the best calamari dish in town. I guess with the recent ownership change, they also changed some menu items that separated them from the others, like their delicious Greek island calamari that came with the most amazing feta dressing and side of greens. Now, it's just like everybody else's calamari- nothing special unfortunately. We also noticed they no longer have shoestring fries. Also very saddening. We also noticed that their happy hour menu changed. While the drink options seem better, not so much for the food items. They kept the tacos but no more chicken salad tostada, crispy shrimp, or buffalo chicken sliders. Despite the change in their food items, their still remains great! We found ourselves outside of downtown San Antonio. Used out OFFLINE app and Cover 3 came up. It was later in the evening and outside our comfy zone lol. First time going for myself. It's a sports bar, well done! We headed straight for the outside fireplace. Our host was outstanding! Very personal and friendly. We decided to try the happy hour selections. I got chicken slider and shrimp wontons. Cindi a 40 year plus vegetarian got the whipped feta and vegies. Pickle Asian cucumbers. Verdict, the chicken slider stole the show. It was a big thick piece, and I thought for sure it would be dry. Just the opposite! The shrimp wontons were good. Wouldn't write mom about them, but not bad. Cin's feta dish was mmm, mmmm mmmm. The cucumber dish was better once we pushed down and soaked the cucumbers with the sauce. I feel this is a hard restaurant market spot - sports bars. Hard to separate each other with vibe and food. Went to Cover 3 for happy hour. I hadn't been in a couple of years. Forgot how dark it was inside. But our waiter was friendly and efficient. Ordered the pork lettuce wraps, mahi mahi tacos and a drink. I can't remember the name of the drink so it must have been strong lol. I was surprised at how good their food is. The crowd skewed older during happy hour but I guess I also fit the older demographic. Nicely priced and well located location to stop in for dinner or drinks. I had the Lime and the Coconut drink... which I absolutely love... and my Husband had the Gold Rush (I think that was what it was called... they will only serve you 2 of them!!! Too strong for me but he loved it.) I had to drive home ...lol! Anyway, we had the shrimp firecrackers and the lettuce wraps... both were great. Busy busy busy happy hour... For the reason, it is so busy is because it is so good! The drinks are really very good and the food that they have that shareable is outstanding! I wasn't that big a fan of the chicken that came with it, but the macaroni and cheese dish was fantastic! If you are looking for a delicious lunch option, Cover 3 is a good solid option! I came here last week for lunch and had a great time. After reading some of the reviews I decided to order the buffalo chicken slider. They come in the option of two or three, but decided to just do two since it came with a side of fries. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the flavor of the buffalo sauce and blue cheese blended perfectly. The fries were a little overcooked for my taste, but still good. All the food came out super fast and the waitress that helped us was really friendly. I also like that before we left they asked if we wanted to take our soda to-go. Which I thought it was a nice touch and reflects on how much they care about customer service. Another thing worth noting is that the place is packed with very large HD screens (there's even one in the bathrooms), which obviously makes it perfect spot to watch your favorite sports team play. read more

I always forget about this place, but only because I'm never on this side of town. And when I come I always say we need to come here more often. Our server was incredible. My French onion soup so so good. The entire food and drinks were good other than my chicken sandwich. My honey was raving about because he was just there 4 days ago so I ordered it and it lacked flavor. It's almost like a new cook took care of my dish and all the others were prepared by the chef. parking spots seems a bit limited upon arrival. As you enter the main entrance, it's a dim light moody spot. People like to call it an upscale sports bar which I agree. Their menu has something for everyone. Per the menu, they serve brunch on the weekends. I ordered the brick chicken club sandwich which was pretty good. The rolls used may look like chiibatta bread which is usually hard and tough but these were really soft and spongy despite its looks. The chicken is cooked on the grilled and has a thin layer of skin on it for some texture. All sandwiches come with fries which were enjoyable as well. My guests ordered the salad which comes with the dressing already mixed in but it was just the perfect amount. It wasn't too wet or too dry. Overall a solid spot to check out. read more

Ila, the general manager is doing an excellent job managing the restaurant and staff. And Issac, our server was really awesome, knowledgeable, easy going and fun! He provided us with excellent service. My girlfriend had the Rueben sandwich and it was piled high with with delicious corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and tasty Russian dressing. I got the hickory burger which was cooked to perfection, and delicious also. We got the pickle chips appetizer and chili and both were tasty and excellent as well. Visited on a Saturday afternoon for brunch and it was great! There was no waiting time at 12pm. The holiday decor throughout the space was festive, and the hostess greeted us in a super friendly manner. The food was pretty good! Each brunch plate comes with muffin tops! We got blueberry and cinnamon. The potatoes were very crispy! The eggs were a bit bland but still ok. The waffles were as expected. Our waiter was super energetic and friendly! There is parking around the entire restaurant, including the back. The indoor area was warm, but the seating area between the indoor and outdoor patio was a bit chilly. I would recommend bringing a sweater or jacket in case you're seated in that area. We didn't get any brunch mimosas or sangrias, but the self serve bar looked great! Finally tried this place out for happy hour and was not disappointed. We were immediately greeted by the bartenders and constantly taken care of. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. They recommended the wings and the tacos, and both were on point. What a wonderful place to eat! We live near by and have never visited this gem. We will definitely be going back, thinking Happy Hour during the week. Second Sunday in a row coming here. My fiance Ioves the Bloody Mary bar. I sat at the bar today and had an Old Fashioned as my drink. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sliders which were good enough that I finished eating one before I remembered to take a picture. You can get the sliders in oder of 2 or 3. This is my second time at this location, and it was even better than the first time. Our waitress, Hannah, was attentive without being overbearing. She helped everyone decide on the best options, and we were more than thrilled with the beautiful dishes when they arrive (we eat with our eyes first after all). I'm pretty sure we each licked our plates (or at least considered it). We jokingly asked for the manager to "complain" about needing to try something "better" off the menu...just as he was passing by. Chase shared a little bit about the culture of the management of the restaurant overall, and how that contributes to the overall quality of the total experience. We agreed! And, then he insisted on us finishing our great meal with the perfect dessert, the peach pudding cake with vanilla bean ice cream! It was a dream!!! This is a great spot to dine as a couple or as a girls (or guys) night out! They've got TVs, not it's not the main attraction from my experience.
