Chef Marcel of @eatwityoeyez reached out last week to invite us to visit. We visited at their @bentleysonbroadway location. Bentley's Bar has a covered outdoor area with picnic tables, heaters, bar, and swings! On Wednesdays, it's happy hour all night with $5 Crown, $7 Patron, and $3 well drinks. Dad had pineapple juice, hubby had the $3 Coors Light, and I had the well drink and Crown with peach and apple. Good wings at the food truck on the side called The Dojo!. Good price ($1 on Wednesday). Didn't know it was going to be at a bar until I arrived. Had to walk in to see the food truck. Just fyi Great flavor, quick, hot and fresh. I ordered 12 wings and fries. Took less than 15 mins. Service was great, cool guy. Only thing is I wished they allowed you to choose if you want all flats or drums. I'm an all flat kinda guy, but they said couldn't be split up like that. I would've paid an extra fee for it. Ok this might be a short review. I really like this spot. But I will be honest and say it might not be for everyone. Now what I have noticed and I love, EVERYONE is welcomed. Not only welcomed but treated kindly and friendly. I have been about 4 times and it's always been that way. You have music that is hip hop and R&B. So if that's not your cup of tea then this isn't the place for you. But this reminds me so much of places at home (Cali). Really chill spot where people play cards and dominoes. Laugh, dance and have a few drinks. This is a place that i will be back many many more times. I mean this place had great energy and a wonderful vibe. Like that they had the games on the big screen. Not sure what this place is supposed to be a bar? Lounge? Restaurant? Hookah? Who knows. I thought we were going to a bar last Sat night but when we arrived the line was down the street as if it's a club? When we got to the front of the line they had armed security which I haven't seen in quite a while. Usually if a place has armed security at the door it's not a chill spot. They had a dress code which we didn't know about and again usually a chill spot wouldn't have a dress code so idk what this place really is but we ended up leaving because we didn't meet the dress code and going to the bar next door. We couldn't be more happy with that decision because at the end of the night we saw a lot of police at this place apparently people were fighting. Not the kind of place I'd like to go to so glad we couldn't get in. read more

This is a pretty dirty looking bar. The Crawfish boils they put on are ridiculous. There were about 80 people here last Sunday for the $15 AYCE deal. Each time you get in line there are no less than 30 people in line. This went on for 3 hrs from the open at 2. By the way they were 45 mins late from the advertised start serving time. Anyway, they give you one little french fry tray at a time (about 1/2 a lb of actual crawfish). The average grown Louisianan or hungry Texan can eat 5 lbs. That would be 10 trips at this rate. After 4 trips, I gave up. I actually ate about 2 lbs for the $15. No difference than going to one of the local restaurants. I heard the day before for the Saturday boil, one man ate 23 trays. I was also mad at the size of the Crawfish they were known as field runs, the tiniest ones with absolute zero tail meat. Besides my very first tray which was hot and delicious all the rest or cold to lukewarm. I won't be back to this place. This place just seems like an overhyped sloppily run Place with music and DJs. Advertised as a crawfish all you can eat, however that does NOT exist. The staff will give you an eye roll if you ask for multiple different football games on at once. I don't know but if I wanted to watch the same game on tvs that are immediately next to each other I wouldn't go to a bar, I'd just watch it at home. This is a Crawfish Boil only review. We visited for All You Can Eat Crawfish on Sunday. We got there just before 1:30 PM and it's supposed to start at 2 PM, but it didn't get rolling until after 2:30 PM. It's $15/person (you pick up your wristband at the bar). It's supposed to include sausage, mini corn cobs, and potatoes. The sausage was in 1" pieces and the potatoes were sliced (not the little whole red potatoes you might expect). There were also bits of pineapple in it, for some reason. It can catch you off guard if you think it's an onion and you're not expecting something sweet. It was really dark inside the bar, so it was hard to tell at first, but there weren't actually any onions, so we figured it out pretty quickly. There isn't any shaded seating outside, which is why we ate inside. The owner indicated that he would be installing a shade awning, so there will be improvement there shortly. The crawfish was very spicy, which we liked. Every portion I got came out hot, so no issues there. Each person with a wristband has to stand in line. They'll only give you 1 little tray at a time, which you can eat in about a minute, so it was a little annoying to hardly get any crawfish and then have to go stand in line again for 10 minutes to get another little dish of it. They need to get the bigger trays and hand it out in at least 1-2# portions plus the sides. After our second tray each, they were already out of sausage and they hadn't been serving for very long. I didn't get any potatoes in trays 5-6, but I'm not sure if that's because they were out or I was just unlucky. After our 2nd ear of corn each, we were saying "no corn," so I'm not sure how long those lasted. We stood in line for what felt like forever on our last trip - they had stopped serving at one point (presumably to take a break). I left my fiance at the front of the line and I went back to the table. I got 2 new cups of water, and I peeled the heads off a tray of crawfish. They weren't providing anything to put your trash in, so it was just piled up in the middle of the tiny table. I had to find a trash can to toss all the trash, then went to the restroom. While I was in there for a whole 2 minutes, someone decided to bus the table - trashing the 2 new cups of water, the tray of crawfish tails, and a tray of corn and potatoes. Who tf does that?? Super frustrating. After that BS and standing in lines longer than eating crawfish, we decided to leave. We'd been there for 3 hours (half of that was waiting for the thing to start though). We only ended up eating 12 trays total, which was probably 5-6# of crawfish. I got 2 little ears of corn, and the equivalent of about 1 large potato, and maybe 0.25# of sausage. We felt like we at least got what we paid for, but we probably won't go back there. There are places that are better organized for the crowd and they don't run out of sides in the first half hour. Note: you can also get chicken-on-a-stick for $6, but it's just frozen, breaded chicken fingers that they skewer and cook.They have remoulade for dipping (tastes ok) and Slap Ya Mama seasoning to dump on everything. The Revolver draught beer we were picking was $5 each, but it wasn't as cold as it should have been. We still got 3 of those though! read more

I attended this event due to flyer inviting coaches. The atmosphere and music was great. Until a friend, an athletic coordinator couldn't get it due to wearing high school athletic gear. Which would be fine but they sent out flyer inviting coaches. A no offense but coordinators hang out with other high ranking colleagues. So some people missed a networking opportunity. Cause now you have an athletic coordinator who couldn't get in and he not telling his coaches about the establishment and you have two slightly pissed head coaches. Next time be more detail in the flyer or know the clients your targeting. read more

This place is ghetto. They don't always search at the door which is why they have shootings. Security sells weed inside. and they let staff kick people out because they used to date them. Bartenders underserve and are rude. Prices don't match up. Beer & Crawfish! I've never really heard of a crawfish bar, but this place has it going on! With a name like Bentley's, it's not as fancy and pretentious as you'd think it'd be. A name like Bentley's made me picture a place covered in marble serving Grey Poupon and caviar. This place is quite the opposite. It's a dark bar with loud music inside. Sometimes, they bring in a band to play on a little stage that they have set up. They have a bunch of craft beers, many of which are somewhat hard to find. I don't think they have a single beer on draft- only bottles and cans. The best feature of this bar is that they are usually serving up crawfish outside on the patio. They've taken over part of the parking lot, and are building permanent shade structures with picnic tables and a crawfish cooker and a large BBQ grill. They serve up all you can eat crawfish on the weekends. I know I can eat a ton of crawfish, especially ones like the ones they serve here- they're small, but spicy. To be honest, I've never signed up for the crawfish deal, but I do enjoy coming here to watch people stuff their faces with them, and then stand in line for some more. Everything on the outdoor patio is slightly sticky and smells like old crustaceans and hot sauce. The place could use an occasional good hosing down after all that crawfish juice. It's a nice bar, especially on the outside. It's a great place to kick back outdoors with plenty of seating, and good beers. read more

Nice up and coming bar on Broadway. They are fairly new to the strip and still working on improvements to their facility. They have an indoor stage where they have live music throughout the week. Reasonable drink specials and events such as the crawfish broil on Thursdays and Sundays, and Ribeye on Wednesday's. All in all this is a pretty small local bar that has plenty of potential. Main reason I come here is because of their customer service. Jessie always welcomes his guest with open arms. read more

This place is great! A group of friends and I came out to take part in their bottomless crawfish broil that they host on Sundays. I believe that they also host a bottomless shrimp and crawfish on Thursdays for fifteen bucks. Can't beat that! It has so much flavor and there is spicey sausage, potatoes, and corn. One of the great host, Jesse was super kind and made sure that we had everything we needed to have a good time! If we come back it would be because of him! When you first walk in the bar first thing you notice that is very dark, masculine, and causal inside. It seems like a nice place just to meet up and have drinks on a late afternoon. You have to purchase you fifteen dollar wrist band from the bar and I have to say, the bartender was not the greatest. The bar wasn't busy at all but yet she seemed to rush us away from the bar. I will admit, she seemed to be the only one tending to the bar but still she was yelling at us...when it wasn't loud, snatching our payments away, slamming our receipts on the counter just..not welcoming. I was able to visit this place this past summer, and I was pleasantly surprised it was my first time here I was visiting a friend and we decided to meet at this bar. The atmosphere was pretty great even though parking needs to have some attention due to the limited parking And the time it takes to find a parking spot and walk up to the establishment but aside from that the overall presentation, when approaching, this venue was great, the music, the atmosphere, the Options to hang out in the patio and enjoy the music as well as inside where you can order drinks from the bar. the day that I was there there was some kind of R&B event going on. the drinks were amazing, the bartender was attentive the drinks were affordable, and the drinks were strong, which is how I like my drinks. I also had the opportunity to order hookah as well and the service on that was great. It came out fairly quickly had no issues, and I proceeded to enjoy my night. If I'm ever in the San Antonio area again I will be sure to stop by again read more

Being somewhat of a regular at this establishment, I thought I'd add my 2 cents to the review section. First, is this place perfect? No. But are they working hard to make it a fun venue to visit? You better your ass they are. Secondly, do they make the most awesome craft cocktails in town? No, but they are great at what they do. Open beers, pour shots, make sure you're having fun and leave with a smile. If you want fancy drinks, get thine ass downtown!! Lastly, the bartenders. Ashley, Sarah, and Victoria are some of the nicest people working this side of Broadway. Having said that, if you're an 1st class A-Hole, they won't hesitate to call you out!
