    F. This. Place. Avoid at all costs. Third time is NOT the charm. This place has no charm. The clientele is judgmental as well as the staff. You're in San Antonio. At Bentley's. No reason to be pretentious. No reason to be a complete bish. I guess they don't like when 2 dudes are grinding on each other OH but it's ok when 2 chicks or a chick and a dude do it. GTFOH. I'll dance around the ashes of this place if it were to burn to the ground. And I'm out.

Ok this might be a short review. I really like this spot. But I will be honest and say it might not be for everyone. Now what I have noticed and I love, EVERYONE is welcomed. Not only welcomed but treated kindly and friendly. I have been about 4 times and it's always been that way. You have music that is hip hop and R&B. So if that's not your cup of tea then this isn't the place for you. But this reminds me so much of places at home (Cali). Really chill spot where people play cards and dominoes. Laugh, dance and have a few drinks. This is a place that i will be back many many more times. I mean this place had great energy and a wonderful vibe. Like that they had the games on the big screen. Oh what I think is kind of funny but cool is that at the bar outside the seats are swings. Yes that's right swings. That is awesome. So if you like hip hop and R&B with a nice vibe. And you grown and sexy...this is the place for you. I might see you there if so says what's up.

This place had a little of everything and everybody. Not my type of crowd but I was there for moral support after the boxing match. Someone even brought their service dog inside.

Nice bar for a HH. I hear Thur and Sunday are nice. They only serve food on select events. I went for the crawfish and shrimp platters for $15. I'm new here so brought my 5 yo daughter . Not a place for kiddies, but now I know. It was fine enough to eat and leave. Spicy crawfish, but good. Music was nice. If you like hip hop love the swing chairs at the bar. I'll be back for HH, drinks, and music.

This is a pretty dirty looking bar. The Crawfish boils they put on are ridiculous. There were about 80 people here last Sunday for the $15 AYCE deal. Each time you get in line there are no less than 30 people in line. This went on for 3 hrs from the open at 2. By the way they were 45 mins late from the advertised start serving time. Anyway, they give you one little french fry tray at a time (about 1/2 a lb of actual crawfish). The average grown Louisianan or hungry Texan can eat 5 lbs. That would be 10 trips at this rate. After 4 trips, I gave up. I actually ate about 2 lbs for the $15. No difference than going to one of the local restaurants. I heard the day before for the Saturday boil, one man ate 23 trays. I was also mad at the size of the Crawfish they were known as field runs, the tiniest ones with absolute zero tail meat. Besides my very first tray which was hot and delicious all the rest or cold to lukewarm. I won't be back to this place. This place just seems like an overhyped sloppily run Place with music and DJs. The restrooms were filthy.

This is a Crawfish Boil only review. We visited for All You Can Eat Crawfish on Sunday. We got there just before 1:30 PM and it's supposed to start at 2 PM, but it didn't get rolling until after 2:30 PM. It's $15/person (you pick up your wristband at the bar). It's supposed to include sausage, mini corn cobs, and potatoes. The sausage was in 1" pieces and the potatoes were sliced (not the little whole red potatoes you might expect). There were also bits of pineapple in it, for some reason. It can catch you off guard if you think it's an onion and you're not expecting something sweet. It was really dark inside the bar, so it was hard to tell at first, but there weren't actually any onions, so we figured it out pretty quickly. There isn't any shaded seating outside, which is why we ate inside. The owner indicated that he would be installing a shade awning, so there will be improvement there shortly. The crawfish was very spicy, which we liked. Every portion I got came out hot, so no issues there. Each person with a wristband has to stand in line. They'll only give you 1 little tray at a time, which you can eat in about a minute, so it was a little annoying to hardly get any crawfish and then have to go stand in line again for 10 minutes to get another little dish of it. They need to get the bigger trays and hand it out in at least 1-2# portions plus the sides. After our second tray each, they were already out of sausage and they hadn't been serving for very long. I didn't get any potatoes in trays 5-6, but I'm not sure if that's because they were out or I was just unlucky. After our 2nd ear of corn each, we were saying "no corn," so I'm not sure how long those lasted. We stood in line for what felt like forever on our last trip - they had stopped serving at one point (presumably to take a break). I left my fiance at the front of the line and I went back to the table. I got 2 new cups of water, and I peeled the heads off a tray of crawfish. They weren't providing anything to put your trash in, so it was just piled up in the middle of the tiny table. I had to find a trash can to toss all the trash, then went to the restroom. While I was in there for a whole 2 minutes, someone decided to bus the table - trashing the 2 new cups of water, the tray of crawfish tails, and a tray of corn and potatoes. Who tf does that?? Super frustrating. After that BS and standing in lines longer than eating crawfish, we decided to leave. We'd been there for 3 hours (half of that was waiting for the thing to start though). We only ended up eating 12 trays total, which was probably 5-6# of crawfish. I got 2 little ears of corn, and the equivalent of about 1 large potato, and maybe 0.25# of sausage. We felt like we at least got what we paid for, but we probably won't go back there. There are places that are better organized for the crowd and they don't run out of sides in the first half hour. Note: you can also get chicken-on-a-stick for $6, but it's just frozen, breaded chicken fingers that they skewer and cook. They have remoulade for dipping (tastes ok) and Slap Ya Mama seasoning to dump on everything. The Revolver draught beer we were picking was $5 each, but it wasn't as cold as it should have been. We still got 3 of those though!

Enjoyed this bar. Has an inside with tables, chairs, and couches. The outside has porch swing chairs surrounding the bar. Mariachis on Friday were great!

Here the flyer inviting coaches with no dress code attached. I'm judging saying we live in shorts, and t shirts

I attended this event due to flyer inviting coaches. The atmosphere and music was great. Until a friend, an athletic coordinator couldn't get it due to wearing high school athletic gear. Which would be fine but they sent out flyer inviting coaches. A no offense but coordinators hang out with other high ranking colleagues. So some people missed a networking opportunity. Cause now you have an athletic coordinator who couldn't get in and he not telling his coaches about the establishment and you have two slightly pissed head coaches. Next time be more detail in the flyer or know the clients your targeting.

We were loaded. Lol. It was so delicious though!

Is the AYCE crawfish worth it? Are there typically super long lines with smalls serving?

It used to be. Lines make it not as much fun. My biggest issue now is they call it a live crawfish boil but the crawfish are already cooked! They then basically warm up the frozen packet and serve them. Meat is much tougher. I am not happy.

Being a New Orleans native like myself we definitely gonna support our own when we find them away from the city. So when i saw he was having a crawfish boil I knew it was gonna be fire. It was a little messy with the eggs and sauce, so I ended up eating it with a fork. The biscuit came with potatoes on the side, but unfortunately they were overcooked and super hard/crunchy, so we could barely eat them. Overall, I'd definitely come back and try more menu items!

Boudros was highly recommended by friends, and was the first restaurant on our list to dine in during our recent visit. We arrived at the restaurant on a Thursday around 7:45 pm and were told by a young Hostess that no walk-ins were allowed until after 9 pm. We decided to modify our itinerary and instead had dinner at a different restaurant on the riverwalk, and made a reservation for Boudros online for the following evening. When we arrived the following evening for our reservation at 7.30 pm, we were escorted to a small table in the bar that was next to the entrance to a small room. The area was noisy with a lot of foot traffic. We asked for a table in a quieter room and were moved to a room in the back of the restaurant where it was easier to have a conversation. A few minutes later our waiter, Stephen, approached the table. We asked him for drink recommendations and among others he recommended the "Prickly Pear Margarita". I ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita, and we also ordered the tableside Guacamole. The restaurant was busy, but there were several empty tables in our dining area. After about 15 to 20 minutes, the waiter brought our drinks. The Prickly Pear Margarita I received was not even close to the description on the menu. The ice was melted and it tasted like Fruit Punch with alcohol in a martini glass. A few minutes later, Stephen approached our table with the Guacamole cart. There were pieces of onions and cilantro all over the dirty table cloth on the cart. He prepared the Guacamole in front of us and it looked very unappealing. We watched as he added an excessive amount of diced onions and cilantro. Being a connoisseur of Guacamole, and making my own for most of my life, it was obvious that Stephen had not been trained well in how to make Guacamole. After he mixed the sliced avocados, the diced onions and cilantro, he wiped the edge of the stone tray with a dirty cloth. The onions and cilantro over powered the taste of the avocado. Later that evening, Stephen brought a very fancy drink for a customer sitting next to us. The drink looked like frozen lime juice with line of frozen strawberry and a nice scoop of frozen lime juice on top. I asked Stephen for the name of that drink, and he replied that it was the same drink that I had ordered. I asked why it looked so different and he muttered something about it being the end of the batch and then said "I'm not the Bartender". He blamed the Bartender for making the terrible drink, and made no effort to correct the problem. Later Stephen returned with our dinner, and as he approached our table, he ordered my wife to "move your glass!" Needless to say she was quite taken aback at his abrupt manner with no please or thank-you. In all the staff did not have a very good demeanor and were very sullen and grumpy. Even asking for directions to the bathroom barely elicited a glance and the needed information. Maybe the staff was overworked because of the number of visitors for the Fiesta, but the terrible, over-priced food, did not make up for the unhappy staff, and we do not plan to return.

It reminded me of a previous space that now houses a restaurant. It was fairly busy on a Thursday night, reservations were suggested. Our service started with the grilled oysters, spinach, bacon, cheese and seasoning. They were good but not great. The blackened grilled trout with dirty rice was one of the entrees. It was flavorful and a very good dish. The grilled red fish with crab meat, grilled shrimp, tomato, garlic, serrano peppers, and creamy buttery sauce over dirty rice was our other entree. It was tasty, not over-salty, and quite tender. The dirty rice was good but not great. The food at Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen was good but not memorable. I was not sorry we tried them but also don't feel drawn to return. The decor and setup of the restaurant felt like a temporary pop up with no individuality as to who they are. There was nothing unique about the entire evening. I would hope you would give Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen and chance and make up your own mind.

He was attentive but very minimal. I got the oysters david for my appetizer, which was very mid. Basically, oysters and cheese baked with no extra flavor. For entree, I ordered the surf and turf because I needed some red meat. Meat came out very rare when I asked for medium rare. The tart lemon wine cream sauce was okay, but not the best. The mashed potatoes, however, was the best out of the meal. Warning about this restaurant: they charge you an additional 8% food tax on top of regular taxes. This is a huge red flag!

I don't recall my order being presented almost as a to-go order when I visited before so receiving a plate with plastic fork/spoon, wrapped food, and styrofoam containers isn't very appetizing. All of this is a far cry from the presentation shown in their newspaper write-up. So, ok...I'll deal with the off putting presentation...what about the star of the show...brisket? The brisket served to me was the most unappetizing, dry, and lukewarm excuse for brisket that I've had in a long time. It was terrible. It reminded me of the old Rodney Daingerfield joke about eating beef where he could see where the jockey was hitting it. The turkey was lukewarm but tasted good. The sides were ok but should never overshadow the main...and yet, they did. I bought a plate that cost over $20 and got it in styrofoam, with bad brisket, and a "we could care less" attitude from staff. It's my last trip to Urban Smoke.

Their beignets are very good for dessert and remind me of the ones served at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. Their cheesecake is also good too. It's sad that they couldn't stay in business for long. They've been open since 2019 and had to close this month. Sad.
