I've been to Topgolf a few times and always thought it was a fun place, especially with a group of friends or family. The games are fun, the atmosphere is exciting, and it's a nice way to spend a few hours. The food is okay and the drinks are good, but like most places these days, they are expensive. This last visit was a little disappointing. My wife and I took a day off and went in the morning to hit some balls and maybe have brunch. Since you pay by the hour, I didn't like losing time setting up the computer, getting interrupted by an employee trying to sell me a membership while I was about to take a swing, and having pop-up ads appear on the screen while we were playing. I understand the employees are just doing their jobs, but I think memberships should be discussed when checking in, not during time that customers are paying to play. I also noticed the menu had changed and some of the shareable foods I enjoyed in the past were gone, so we just had a drink and went somewhere else for brunch. I'll still come back because I do enjoy Topgolf, but I hope they make some changes so customers can spend more of their paid time actually playing. read more

We've been to this place a bunch of times and we're always happy with the service, vibe, and food. This time we brought our grandson and he had a blast playing Angry Birds. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. We did have some rowdy kids above us, we were on the ground floor 132, and they were throwing down golf balls , then their clubs came flying down right in front of us. We did complain but it didn't stop, then they started throwing Tater Tots and banging their clubs on the floor. Other families next to us complained but no luck. I suggest get the top level and avoid any problems. We did over all have a fun time and can't wait to go back . read more

Came here for a birthday party and it was great! Food was buffet-style which I'm not sure was from Topgolf itself but if it was it was pretty good. Servers could've came around a little more often for beverage refills but not a huge deal. Menus could've been cleaned as well; the menu I had had food sticking on the inside. I can't believe this is the only Topgolf in Long Island. They need to open more (and hopefully closer to the Queens area rather than deep Long Island) cause it's one of the best driving ranges I've been to! I really must've been missing out cause this made golf seem fun again, and I'm not a huge golf person. It's a huge space with multiple floors so we got a spot right away but even at 10pm at night, it was pretty packed. There are fun games that you can choose from like Sonic or Angry Birds to make it more interesting - those games basically give points to anything, even if you're so off from the target, so it's great for all levels! You know what? This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I am by no means a golfer. My previous experience including golfing on the Wii, so I was a bit hesitant about going. But I came to realize, Topgolf is for golfers of all ages and types! You take up your own bay and are able to choose from a wide variety of clubs. There's plenty of games to choose from, and once you do, wiggle your stick, pick up a ball, and play! We ended up sticking to the Sonic and Angry Birds games, and it was amazing watching the trajectory of your ball on the screen and racking up points. We did order a selection of food including tots, chicken sliders, boba and chips. Everything was good, not great. But this isn't really the place for fine cuisine, eh? The staff was friendly, the space is clean, and we ended the night chatting at the outdoor patio. Overall, would definitely visit again. Its a fun activity everyone can join in! read more

Top Golf is the perfect stop for some family fun on a nice summer day. Decent amount of parking and even if there is a wait there are some fun things to do to kill some time. You can rent a "bay" for a few hours or less and choose from a variety of golf mini games to add extra fun beyond just driving range practice. The burgers are good but it's nothing fancy. Mini golf is always packed and pretty fun, and there are baseball batting cages too. If you need a break from Cooper's beach or the weather is not cooperating, you could do worse than a few hours at Top Golf. read more

SO. MUCH. FUN. We had an awesome date night here. I've only been to mini golf and driving ranges in my early 20s. Even though I was terrible at swinging the clubs I had a blast. This place is super fun with a pro shop vibe. I was called over by guest services upon walking in, who explained there was a 30ish minute wait for a Bay after signing us in the system, so we went to the bar. We got there just as there was a shift change so it took a bit to get a drink. I had an espresso martini and was surprised when she asked if I wanted it with Tequila. I wasn't mad about this at all and took her up on it. It was almost a little too sweet but it covered up the coffee flavor (I hate coffee). It wasn't even 30 minutes when I got the text message to go directly to Bay 117 and check in there. Again, super easy and super quick. There's an array of clubs to choose from. There's about 3 screens to each Bay, one facing the golfer and two, stacked, facing the spectators who may be seated at the table in the Bay. About 6 people fit in one Bay and there is a good distance between each Bay. Lindsey (sp?) took care of us and she was a breathe of fresh hair. Loved her excitement in everything and she was great at explaining how everything worked. She had a great energy and I know she's going to do great things. We got the nachos and the pretzel charcuterie (this has some mashup name but I won't be able to spell it right if I tried). Both were super yummy. You can tell both were made in house. We made a reservation came here as a group. The bathrooms were clean the menu is on line so you can see what they have. The wings were ok nothing amazing but it gets the job done but nothing to be wowed about they were chewy. The macaroni bites were really good definitely worth it. Here's why it got 4/5 when we reserved we let them know as we got there we have a left handed player they gave us 3 left handed clubs which was great better than none. When we got to our seating area we had 3 chairs for 6 ppl and had to wait for the waitress to finally come and ask us what we wanted to order to get at least 2 chairs we asked for 3 only got 2. We had to wait 20 min for the people next to us who happened to finish there game to get a chair and stop waiting for one. We when our left handed player went to play the T that holds the ball was only on the right handed players side & you can't move it so left handed player wasn't really able to get the full experience. After we order our food we did not receive napkins or utensils we had to keep flagging down our waitress to try to get anything. We are sharing gaming equipment & don't wanna eat and put food on the game equipment. We wanted to order more food and drinks but after having to many issues with trying to get anything we decided to not since it was hard to get anything at all. Worst experience ever. Management at Topgolf was extremely unprofessional. The manager, Brandon, was rude, dismissive, and lacked basic customer service skills. Before we even finished signing our check, he was rushing us out because "someone was coming," even though it was the end of the night on a Monday. The way the situation was handled made us feel unwelcome and completely disregarded as paying customers. That said, our server Nicolette was absolutely amazing. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, and she went above and beyond to try to make our experience worthwhile despite the poor management. Honestly, have only had one good time here ever. The front desk people are consistently rude. Topgolf did a summer deal also for $250 and we were only able to use it ONCE, a very fraudulent sales attempt. We went once and then tried going another 4+ times (mind you our drive is almost 45minutes away) and each time we were told either it would be a 2+ hour wait. How is there a 2+ hour wait AT OPENING? Midweek? Weekend? All of it was the same response and turnaround. I get it, you would rather make money off those just walking in, but YOU offered this deal and were very accommodating and rude about it (while we had a toddler with us, knowing we wouldn't be able to do the wait). The game, premise, food and drinks are a great concept but they just don't do it well here. Maybe it's a Topgolf issue and not just this location but having attempted this location MANY times now, I'm just over it now and won't be back. But regardless, they have a customer service issue in making us feel unwelcome. read more

We had a blast at top golf! The kids had fun and the games with the golf held their attention. It was a cold night but the heaters were WORKING. Didn't need my jacket. The food was surprisingly really good. We got nachos (I didn't love the steak on them), boneless wings (with delicious ranch), pizza (it was not good but kids liked it) and pretzel bites. I appreciate Yelp lighting a fire under my behind with their emails in getting me to write some reviews to keep up that Elite status. I mean it's not like I didn't want to sing (or write) the praises of Topgolf a few months ago when I actually visited this nearby social spot, but time just gets away from me too easily. Anyhoo, Topgolf is fun. Don't worry, there's more to say than that, even if it was a true statement. And that "fun" can come from someone who is such an absolute golf novice to the point that I had never swung a club other than through mini golf. Despite the lack of practice/experience/skills, you can still enjoy yourself here. I will say that the games and actually getting a feeling of proudness really comes from a strong swing and driving a ball in the air, so if you can't reach that level (like me) then your fun might be curbed a tad, though that won't mean you can't enjoy yourself. For example, the games that go along with the golfing are quite cool. Whether you choose some type of target scoring or you want to play a few rounds of Angry Birds, it's doable through the computer system. I also can't get enough of the ball just popping out of the hole with a wave of your club (it's the little things that count). Beyond the golf, you'll also find pool tables and a shuffle board table which adds in a little extra gamesmanship and opportunities for fun. Oh and did I mention the grub and drinks are pretty decent here too? TG's menu has a variety of finger foods, burgers, sandwiches, desserts, and more. When we visited, our desire was with shareable items and so we split up some macaroni and cheese bites, Buffalo chicken dip, pretzel bites, a pizza flatbread, and a harvest hummus (consisting of mostly roasted carrots) which was uniquely superb. Drinks (beyond a decent beer selection) were also tasty as I started with a Blackberry Smash which was fruity, tangy, minty and downright delicious. Despite the almost all positives about Topgolf, I will say that it can be a rather pricy night out if not formatted correctly. Timing, groups, and coupon offers are all necessary in order to get the best bang for your buck. We came on a Saturday evening (a peak time) and so it was busy and prices were most expensive. One of our friends had a coupon which helped slice the price a bit, but there were only six of us in the bay. Not too bad when splitting the bill at the end, but this probably wouldn't have monetarily made sense had I just gone with my wife. Fair warning for couples. Overall though, Topgolf is loads of fun for just about anyone. Yeah maybe it can be a little more enjoyable for golfers and those with some swinging skills, but with a group, you can still have a blast. And with that, I give Yelp a review that it was waiting for. Onto the next one! read more

Very interesting concept to make golf approachable and fun for the whole family. Went on the 1/2 off tuesday and had a good time with the family. My main complaint is that I got bad information from the staff in that the pricing basically becomes prorated as you transition from one price during certain hours to the next. Overall it just feels expensive for what you're doing; I can't imagine how expensive it feel swhen you have to go on a weekend. Also they ask you to tip on the whole amount of the golf which is not a good expectation, especially if you're not ordering any food. read more

I booked an event at TopGolf, and it was genuinely one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. I paid for the unlimited food and drink package, and 30 minutes before our allotted time ended, they abruptly cut us off. My guests and I then tried to pay for additional drinks and open a tab, but we were told we couldn't sit at the same table anymore. They insisted that the only way we could continue to order food or drinks was to move somewhere else entirely -- which made absolutely no sense. It honestly felt like the staff were making up rules as they went. Everyone was rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. What was supposed to be a smooth corporate event turned into an embarrassing mess. I was mortified in front of my customers. For what they charge, this experience was beyond disappointing -- it was a complete waste of money. I would never host an event here again. read more

I came here for a surprise party. There was about 15ish of us. We had three bays reserved. If you like golf, this is the place for you. There are many different clubs to choose. When you hit the golf ball there's some sort of technology in the ball that records where your ball is. You can also see on the screen in the bay. Each bay also has its own heat regulation system. I'm sure it's reverse in the summer months. I am not a fan of golf, but I did hit some balls. Now food... We had a buffet style dinner. Buffet included boneless chicken wings, queso, Buffalo chicken dip, pulled pork, Asian chicken meatballs and a charcuterie board. Dessert was "fill your own munchkins" with jelly or chocolate. The wings were basic...like frozen anytizers. They definitely weren't made in house. Queso and Buffalo chicken dip had great flavor. Pulled pork was just okay and the Asian chicken meatballs were tasty. Charcuterie board was plentiful. Drinks were..meh. Kind of weak. I guess I understand they don't want people drunk when there's golf and screens involved...but they could have used a little more...umph and booze. Fill your own munchkins is a great concept. When we were playing workers came by on a cart with merch of the gift shop. Hats, shirts, golf things, etc. I found that highly unprofessional as we were trying to celebrate a party. Even if we weren't celebrating and just playing golf. If we want anything from the gift shop, we would stop on our way out. Even when we were leaving the cart workers were still trying to sell things. Left a bad taste for me. Terrible experience. Had a tray of water for 5 people dropped on us while we waited for the server. We were all were wet, ranging from very soaked to soaked. Received multiple apologies from the sweetest bus boy (it wasn't his fault, as the trays were cheap and flimsy). However, the female waitresses and manager were overtly rude and unapologetic. Our seats were sopping wet, but they wouldn't move us to the open bay with dryer seats, nor were any other concessions offered for us to play wet in a wet bay. Manager told us that if we didn't want to sit in the bay that we were in, the other choice was to leave and she knew we just drove 45 minutes to get there. As adults we probably would've left, but the kids did not want to leave. They know they can get away with poor Customer Service because they're the only topgolf within hours of their location. Heard it was a family friendly place. Even though we are not a family of golfers, we headed out for our fun. We had 1pm reservations (for a 2 hr time period) and when we knew traffic was against us, we called. Were told to just check in once they texted us to confirm our bay. We did that and began playing at 1:20pm, ordered food and sangria. There is a selection of men/women clubs to choose from and we requested lefty clubs which we got within 15 minutes. Sangria was great (hence the one star) food was passable, nothing special. The biggest issue is the machine could not read most of our swings, so we spent 70-80% of our time rehitting these balls so the computer could register the shot. This is a venue where all you do is put put put but you stay still so no activity required. You stay in your bay; probably great to practice your swing if golf is your thing. So I asked the front desk if they would allow is a 15 minute grace period since our kids shouldn't be penalized due to our traffic issues. She said "the manager will speak with you, maybe we can move you to another bay." Great except 30 minutes later, no manager. I then asked our lovely waitress and she said she would speak to Lindsay, the manager. The response was "sure we can move you to another bay for 20-30 minutes but you would have to PAY FOR THE TIME! Lindsay said it's not her fault you were late." No, thank you MISmanager. Thank you for making our first and last experience their memorable for the wrong reasons. Not sure if other locations have the same discourtesy but we will not be returning! Like I said almost 80% of our time was spent trying to get the computer to record our shots, terrible customer service. I can't say how excited I was when I stumbled upon this amenity, I was on my way to hide out with my daughter in the bathroom. While the food may be a bit overpriced in my opinion, I do think it's really good! Have been here several times and each time I've had really good experiences. The servers have always been attentive and friendly. Any issues (balls not coming out) have been brought to a members attention and they resolved it really quick. Let me start off with this: I'm not much of a golfer, or into going to the range to hit a few balls. This is not your average golf range, this is an interactive group experience! Everyone gets their own turn on one bay, it kind of reminds me of having your own cabana at the beach with your own server . Once you check in: they bring you to your bay, and there's a server that assists with starting you up on the screen, gives you a run down on how to use the ball dispenser, rules, all that. They definitely make sure you feel comfortable and confident with the whole experience. The environment: is very laid back, you have your own table and chairs, and you can order food and drinks as well (brought right to you, no lines!). The best part of the bay is that you have temperature control, we didn't need jackets (we attended during December in 30° temps). The game: so much fun! We played angry birds, you have to hit the high-tech balls towards the pigs and their buildings. The screens give you a view of the field, so it's easy to plan where you need to hit the balls. Everyone has HDTVs and you can view the game from your table as well! Each bay has their own assortment of clubs as well, so you don't have to go anywhere to switch out and you can test out what works for you Tip: pay for the reservation, it's only about $7 to do this and you won't get stuck with a turn away or a 2 hour wait. Also, Tuesdays are half price....if you want to test out the experience, this is the best day to do it. Lastly, get an app or two for the table and some drinks (the pretzel bites and Arnold Palmer was great), then don't forget to tip your server, they really go above and beyond! read more

Topgolf is always fun! It was my first time at this location since there isn't one in NYC. Though I joined the waitlist, it took some time to get a bay that was not on the 1st floor. The staff said they'll text me my bay number but never ended up getting one so had to go up to the front desk again after waiting about 10-15 mins or so to confirm, and found out the bay was ready. They definitely can do better with informing about the bay availabilities/readiness esp with the amount of staffs working at the front desk. We didn't order any food but got some hazy IPAs which was enjoyable while playing. I think we played for a good 2.5 hours or so, and probably could've kept playing tbh. It is very addicting but a bit pricey if only going with another person. read more

I came here for a friend's birthday and was quite impressed. I had no intention to golf or do any driving, but sure enough I did. I'm no Tiger off the tee, but I surprised myself that I hit the ball and could drive it at all. They have people who can set you up and the scorekeeping is easy once you start hitting balls. Who knew their drinks would be so good. Mezcal margaritas were on point and the selection of food and beverages is better than expected.y friend paid for their catering and it was not even as high a level as you can order, but it was very good: different types of meatballs, a taco dip, beef sliders and chicken tenders with the veggie trays. My good friend ordered the injectable donut holes with chocolate and raspberry: decadent. It was more than enough for a party of fifteen at three bays. Unfortunately, they have to throw out the leftovers to prevent liability exposure. If we were not so litigious, a lot of hungry and homeless would surely appreciate. They have plenty of room with three tiers of bays. It's a popular place and I see they need the capacity. They are well staffed and service was very good. They have conference rooms and are ready for parties and corporate events. The main bar area has all the flatscreens if all you want is drinking, eating and watching the games. There is another outdoor rooftop bar as well, weather permitting. This is also a great place to have a party where the adults can bring the kids without need for a sitter. Lifetime membership is only five bucks and if you come for a party or other events, it's free. So there is not much reason not to come here. Try it and you'll like it. I did.
