My friend was staying near the airport and wanted to get breakfast before she left. This place had good reviews on Yelp, so we went. This is a standard American diner. There are skillets and eggs and pancakes. I had two eggs with pancakes, which were good, and the coffee, which was a little weak (which is why I deducted a star), but unlimited refills. My friend had their French toast, which she said was delicious. She also said the OJ was good. Personally, I thought this place was dirt cheap. Two breakfasts with drinks for under $20 for Sunday brunch is dirt cheap in my book. First time here and gave it a try. Not disappointed at all! Amazing food and great service. If you are in the area and looking for great inexpensive breakfast, look no further. Food is ok, service is always slow and the charge almost $3 for a soda with 1 refill . I sit for at least 20mins without even being asked about drinks or coffee every time I come here. The first time I came , I had to ask for a server because after 25mins we still hadn't been asked for our drink orders even after a group was serviced who sat 10mins after us. They have some older decor, ceramic dishes and cups, booths along the wall and in the middle with round tables filling in the rest. Upon arrival it comes covered in cheddar (not my favorite) but it was actually VERY good. All seemed well prepared, not oily or greasy, just some really great potatoes & eggs. Orange Juice: No pulp, it was ok. Steak & 2 Eggs: Steak well prepared, juicy, tender. French toast: It was ok. The prices are average, I think about $11 per person, you can keep it below $10 if you only order water. The corn beef hash was pretty fantastic, I wanted more. Sooooooo... our waitress, Debbie was attentive, but at times she looked like she was slightly perturbed. We had some religious restrictions and the menu did accommodate those individuals. The food was inexpensive & portions were decent. We will return . The menu had lots of items to choose from. I had just arrived into Midway Airport starving and thinking I'd grab a bite there. Between the long lines and the outrageous prices ( $15 for 2eggs and hash browns - YIKES!) I got my rental car and drove over to Top View only 1.6 mi from the airport. This place is real down home cooking and atmosphere (I'm a native Chicagoan). Real food friendly and fast service and oh! the dialects and accents! (Don't get much of this in CA where I live now). Went there this morning because it's my grandson's favorite restaurant for their chicken dumpling soup ,called yesterday and the girl said they would have it, when we got there the waitress was great, first they had no Pepsi which was not her fault, then she said they didn't have the chicken dumpling soup I explained how I called the day before and it was my grandson's birthday that's the only reason we came their she went back and spoke to someone and they said the chicken dumpling soup would be ready at 1:00 I said ok I will call first then come for it I was going to get the largest so he could leftovers,I called sat1 they said it wasn't ready yet, I called back at 1:30, they said it wasn't ready yet, I called back at 2 and a man came to the phone and said I couldn't have it because they didn't get rid of today's soup so I have to call tomorrow, I think that is very bad customer service now I have to wait till tomorrow and disappoint my grandson read more

We tried this on our way home from a Chicago weekend visit. I had a skillet breakfast which was extremely large and pretty delicious. This was way too much food for me, I probably should have split with someone! My boyfriend tried the French toast and he agreed that it was also pretty good. Parking was terrible! There are very few spots to park, and people were very rude to us in the parking lot. We ended up parking across 4 lanes of traffic and walking over. read more
