Food and quality and the flavor is outstanding! My wife and I were driving home from Disneyland and decided to try a new Thai spot. Tell you what this spot caught us by surprise and the food and flavor was amazing. The owners greeted us with smile and kindness. We found us a new Thai spot! Thank you for hospitality and amazing service and food! Beef Pad Se Ew and Chicken Basil Fried Rice.

I visited Top Thai Table on a weekend afternoon - a rarity since I always enjoy lunch specials at Thai restaurants. Feeling only slightly adventurous, I tried the Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef and was pleasantly surprised. The portions were alright, and there were many ingredients. My favorite part of the rice was that it held well together and was easy to eat. However, I found the overall flavor to be too salty and ended up drinking a few glasses of water. I also had an opportunity to try a piece of fried fish from a friend, and I also found it to be on the saltier side. The fish was encased in quite a bit of breading but was otherwise as expected. Although it was a weekend afternoon, I was a little disappointed to see that we were the only my friend and I were the only party dining in. There were maybe two to-go orders, and half of the restaurant was closed off as well :( After our meal, they gave us the check along with guava candies and coffee candy.

The food is absolutely delicious! These are authentic Thai flavors. I had the Pad see ew and it was amazing paired with the yellow curry and rice!

However, looking at the prices it's definitely not too much cheaper than other similar restaurants. This is place is a very mom and pop style. Which I would expect the price to be more reasonable. We ordered: 1. Pork chop fried rice-- small portion, but the taste is pretty good. The fried rice is pretty delicious. 2. Braised beef noodles--Broth flavor is good, but not much noodles. Beef was tender. 3. Small cold dish appetizer--this one is very disappointing, the glass noodles were kind of hard and the flavors were not very good. I didn't want to eat too much of it even this is my usual favorite dish from other similar restaurants. 4. Stirred fried rice cake--this was kind of salty. The more we ate it the more it tasted salty. 5. xiao long bao--this is okay. Not the best Ive had but not bad. 6. Sweet and sour spare ribs--super small portion for the price being charged. It's almost like ding tai fung's price..but in this kind ambience it feels it's over priced. 7. Steamed sticky rice siu mai--the skin was hard as if it wasn't steamed enough. Service was okay, one lady was super friendly and smiling all the time. But the other lady had no smile and wasn't very patient and just didn't look like she wanted to work. Conclusion is I wont come back due to the over priced food that doesn't live up to the quality with a very casual dining experience.

Our cashier brought the ramens and utensils to our table. No water though and I didn't ask for any. There is a soda machine in the back and some beers on tap. The menu set up seemed to be a base of pork, chicken, or vegan and other options are extra "flairs" of the base like sesame, curry, matcha, etc. The tofu slices were really good. The pork wasn't chashu, but a thick piece of pork belly. Noodles were different between the vegan and pork option. The soup got realllyyyyyy salty for me toward the end. Overall - not the most authentic ramen but also decent enough to fill cravings. Not a lot of noodles, but for $14? Not bad at all and I would come back out of convenience of location.

I got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodle and in Medium Spicy. Everything was exactly to my tastes. Fantastic hand pulled noodles with great texture, delicious soup and their chili is actually spicy, numbing and very flavorful. They are heavy handed with the spice, I'd say their medium is a typical extra spicy. I typically order extra spicy elsewhere but was trying to cut down on the oil a bit so got medium here and was pleasantly surprised that the level of spice was just right for me. If you're not use to spice, definitely get mild or no spice. This is a dish I would get over and over again and never get tired of it!

Solid LanZhou Noodles. Probably the best I've had in Los Angeles. Makes Northern Restaurant (Suo…read moreFeng Yuan) look like the minors. What I liked, soup base clear, had hints of Sand Ginger, Umami Bone Broth, hints of cinnamon, heavy parsley/ cilantro, fennel, star anise, black cardamom, white peppercorns, mmmm, I can taste the broth even now, 2 days after that meal, very distinct, and when paired with their in-house chilli oil, not the one on the table, the actual spicy one they exclusively keep inside the kitchen, you can taste the additional layers to the chilli oil and it just brings the entire LanZhou Noodles to a whole another level. The lamb Rou Jia Mou was really filling. I liked the quantity, not overtly big, not too greasy, and had just the right amount of protein to keep the dish an appetizer, as you await the main course. Pickedled Sweet Kimchi Cabbage was also very enjoyable, although I prefer the in house ones made at Yumi Time in City of Industry better crispiness to the bite in their version and more balanced taste. A solid four, because I'm biased. Having worked with two extremely talented masters in Phoenix Arizona, I've tasted what could be the best LanZhou Noodles and Best Xiao Long Bao any seasoned restaurant staff could ask for. My former colleague Hand Pulled Noodle Master chef Shuai used to head the reknown LanZhou Noodles place in Gaithersburg Maryland serving up all those Ambassadors, Lobbyists, DC Politicians, and when we were in Phoenix Arizona, along with Pastry / Flour Dim Sum Master Chef Sister Ying, we concocted probably the best Xiao Long Bao / Rou Jia Mou and LanZhou Hand Pulled Noodles to ever grace the lands of Arizona and in my opinion, was far superior than any other place in Los Angeles. But again that's just me. I'm biased and I've been blessed to sit down, and have worked with some of the best small kitchen crews and experience great staff meals. And this leads to me to my conclusion: Yes, I'm putting this restaurant officially on my #2 for Chinese Noodle Soups in LA. This place will from now on be in my casual rotation. A no frills, real, down to Earth Noodle Shop. Why I like it? Just the overall setting doesn't try too much. On the surface it looks really plain, boring, not much to expect. But once you try it, it just suddenly makes sense, this can be your go-to Pho shop but for LanZhou Noodles and certain types of Cumin Lamb Chow Mein. #1 Corner Beef Noodle House in El Monte #2 Lan Noodle in West Covina

Food is stellar and of value (6 XLB for $8!), portion sizes are good, and everything is piping hot! The soup dumplings have soo much soup IMO beating out Mama Lu's which is what I would consider to be their nearest competitor. The spicy shrimp wontons are also good, but I think the flavors don't quite hit as well - big pieces of shrimp are enclosed though! The Peppered Beef Udon was great the beef pieces were tender and juicy and great textured noodles. Onion pancakes are a staple along w/cucumber salad (not pictured) , and their pan fried pot stickers are my favorite along with the sauce it comes with. Sooo crispy. Pro tip: If you are a first timer/came from far and waited a while don't let them seat you at the bar the experience is not as nice by far (I saw someone say it's like paying to stare at a wall - I concur) Being seated at a booth or table will allow you the full experience but I do understand there's only a limited amount of room in the bustling place.

She enjoyed it very much. I had some of the sauce with some rice, to taste. It was nice and creamy but it was still light. It didn't feel heavy in the stomach. The friend ice cream is a little uneven. One side, the bread was thin but the other side was super thick and hard to eat. It's perfectly crisp though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bowl for the ice cream was really cute but I think a different bowl might be better because it was a little hard to eat without flinging it around.
