We walked from the hotel and ended up eating here twice! I had the extra cheesy volcan tacos they were so good I could smell how they tasted when I walked in. The carve asada was a little salty but it didn't stop me from devouring them! If you come in down the alley like we did you'll walk through what looks to be a little bar area walk-through there and then follow the signs to find the tacos. There were some people walking in with small children as we were walking out and they looked confused walking into the bar and I showed them just keep going you'll find the tacos and then they laughed. Everyone inside was nice and very friendly they run a super efficient operation and it's very clean. Soon as someone gets up somebody cleans the table because somebody's already waiting for a table. The whole thing is like an assembly line you get in line you order you get in line you get your food you walk around the corner and you get a table. Keep it moving people! This is just an amazing taco place with some amazing people highly recommend if you are in the area to go for it. The second time we came back and got more tacos to go and had to pay for parking around the corner so I don't know that it's convenient unless you're walking because parking was really expensive over there I think we paid $20 for 15 minutes.

We weren't even fully through day #2 and were already sick of BBQ. He broke the seal first and suggested Mexican. I found Taqueria De Diez in my bookmarks, and dinner plans were set. This was one of those meals where I was walking out with a pep in my step because I got exactly what I needed. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla + two tacos: Campechana and adobada. I don't even know what my favorite thing was. They were all excellent. The only slight miss were the beans, which were kind of oddly watery. But everything else was perfect, including the jamaica agua fresca. I ended up returning the next night and ordered a carne asada burrito. I didn't love it quite as much, but this is still an easy 5-star review for me. Note: this is not the easiest place to find. You literally have to walk in between some big, orange road blockers (is that what you call them?), to enter an alley. You then walk into a small bar, and then from there, you enter the actual restaurant. It's like a taco speakeasy, and it's glorious.

The chicken was shredded and could've used a little more seasoning for my taste. I'm also not a huge fan of lettuce in a burrito, so that may have played a part in it not being my favorite. That being said, I'm definitely coming back because those tacos were SO good. Next time, I want to give the burrito another shot and order it my way. I had only stopped by this Food Truck (area) to try Desnudo Coffee, and spotted this business. I had heard some good things about Veracruz, but I was planning lunch elsewhere. Well, that other spot was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! Seeing my situation, I saw it as opportunity to try the options at Veracruz --- including the famous from Food Network, migas taco. I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. TIP: They will ask corn or flour --- do flour. Everything is handmade, but those corn tortillas fall apart with all the sauce. Flour = durable and flavorful. Now, the service seemed to be decent until I didn't put a tip on my takeout order. Things seemed to go south. When my name was called, I grabbed the small paper bag and paused. No guacamole. If I hadn't have looked, I could've walked a really long wasteful before noticing. Maybe long enough to not go back. The last behind the counter, said okay I'll get it. It felt like a chore. Well, that was because the woman also had not given me my tres leches, which was going to be for my wife. We were absolutely thrilled with the Top Taco food truck that graced our birthday party at home. The variety of delectable taco options, including Top Sirloin, Top Chicken, Pork Belly, Pastor, and Veggie Pablano, accompanied by rice and beans, left our guests raving. Most of them indulged in all the options, and unanimous praise was heard as they debated over their personal favorites. Jorge and his team's professionalism and seamless communication during the booking process set the perfect tone. They arrived punctually and efficiently set up, ensuring a hassle-free experience. To say we would love to have them cater for us again is an understatement, as we're still daydreaming about those unforgettable tacos.
