Wish it was a better experience overall

I made an appointment for 2pm, I got there maybe 10 mins early because I'm use to it being busy in Miami so I wanted to get there early. As I walk in she greeted me lovely, and let me know all colors are available as I was looking at the wall. She mentioned cash only which is understandable. After getting cash from atm, I sat down she gave me a bottle of water and began the work. She pays very, VERY close attention to your nails and she learns your style with a few questions she has for you (Ex. Shape wanted, Color preference) all in all - give her a chance I promise you she does an amazing job. She is now my new nail lady :) I highly recommend to EVERYONE!

Scheduled an appointment they were honest when I got there which I appreciated - they were running 20 minutes late I left and came back. 34 more minutes after the 20 went by. They said not one more word to me. If you want an appointment and don't have time to wait almost a full hour pay that time I don't recommend this place. Pretty disrespectful to other peoples time I would say. I've never been here otherwise and I wouldn't come back. read more

Very impressed with the service! The gentleman who did my nails was polite and accommodating, not like most places I've visited (especially the one up the street). It is VERY clean there!! My only complaint was it's was cold. Take a sweater. They are new and there wasn't much business that day but when they are found out it will be packed!! read more

Then she gouged my cuticle last March and blood went everywhere. The biggest problem was that she seemed unclear how to keep my blood from getting on all the brushes and buffers she continued to use on me. It seemed she was trying to avoid her co-workers from seeing what had happened. My finger was still bleeding when I left the salon and was swollen and sore for days. I reluctantly visited again but requested John for my pedicure and my toes looked great but had his head turned towards the television most of the time and mumbled nothing more than "is this your color?". He didn't he acknowledge that I was on crutches which seemed somewhat rude considering I'd been coming here for years. Maybe he was having a bad day but it felt dismissive. Being treated politely should be an simple expectation for a salon to meet considering people go there to feel a bit pampered. They definitely fail to fulfill that on a regular basis, not to mention the blood contamination concerns. I don't look forward to coming here, so I'm sadly going to be looking for another salon.

After reading other Yelp and Google reviews, I called this morning to get an appointment since I did not want to wait as a walk-in. I was told 12:15pm, and then 12pm. I repeated this back and the man on the phone confirmed the time twice before I hung up. When I arrived a few minutes before 12, I was told my time was actually for 12:45. I know I did not make an error on this, and I wish he'd just said they made a mistake instead of insisting that's the time he told me over the phone; it was not. During my appointment, two other women came in for pedicures; one woman arrived soon after I did and said she had an appointment, but her treatment wasn't even started by the time I left. So that's challenging if you have a schedule to stick to. Overall, good treatment, clean shop, iffy time management.
