My new favorite nail shop, randomly picked by a friend for a girls' day outing. There is limited offstreet parking and it is on sort of an awkward corner but the cleanliness, selection and treatment make it completely worth it. I drive half an hour to get my nails done here, rather than anywhere else. The space is a large, bright open area with numerous pedicure chairs in a separate room. They have and use plexiglass dividers if you are seated next to someone you do not know. The equipment is new and extra sanitary- using a completely new liner, and new jet tubing, in each chair, for each client. The water was a little too hot to me when I was seated but it was promptly corrected. They offer you a beverage while you sit- water, soda or wine, which is a really nice touch. I received an excellent pedicure, including cuticles, nails, callous treatment and massage. I feel like the price was on point with the level of service. I also had dip nails done on my fingers. Again, a masterful job where my nails were fortified and built up without being too thick. They had a huge selection of colors to choose from in dip, gel, and regular polish, and matching shades were available for each. I had a lovely time sitting with my friends, not feeling compelled to be chatty with the techs, and having excellent work done. No chipping on either my hands or feet after 3 weeks. My 4 year old daughter wanted to get a pedicure for the first time as a mommy daughter date and I was recommended this spa. Monica and Meeka took care of us and were great! Meeka was patient with her and made sure she was comfortable. They have kid pedicure chairs with Anna from frozen on them. The salon was clean and very nice. We scheduled for manicures and pedicures for ladies day, and after an absolutely disastrous lunch, I was REALLY hoping the nail place would make up for it. Paris Nails exceeded those hopes. Their check in system is a little interesting as it is all done electronically using a tablet, one person at a time but that is useful for future visits, I think it stores your preferences. Staff got us seated comfortably at pedicure chairs, 4 in a row, and offered us beverages in the first few moments (water, soda or even a glass of wine). We had reservations, and they HAD PEOPLE READY to take care of those reservations. That has been an issue with other nail salons I've been to. Paris Nails keeps their appointments. The color selection is extensive, and they do regular, gel and dip nails, which is great, since each of us has a different preference. Paris Nails are clearly taking their safety SERIOUSLY. They are thorough with sanitization procedures, and the pedicure chair was sparkling clean before we got started. They had an extra staff member handling our regular or gel manicures while we were still seated getting pedicures done. This was great for time management, but there were some things missing from this process...there was no lotioning, no massage of hands and arms, just the shaping, cuticle care, application and setting of gel nails. All in all, I look forward to my next appointment this coming Saturday for another mani/pedi with 2 of the 3 other gals. I think I've found my new go-to salon. read more

This place is not how it use to be years ago. I used to be able to easily set up appointments for various manicures, pedicures, and waxings. Then there was this small group of amazingly skilled workers and I was able to choose the same girls I completely trust to do all the services beautifully, especially making original/replicate artful designs. There was also this man, who I believe was the owner, who would check in with the workers and the customers to see how things are going. You can tell the salon had a welcoming feel and positive vibes all over. Now this salon looks as if it is crammed with so many technicians, it just feels chaotic and overwhelming. There are times where I'm not able to get an appointment. Even when I do get an appointment, I come in just to wait anyways. I request for the girls I want and trust, but somehow I get pushed to girls that give me such mediocre services. More than half of these technicians don't appear to have any skills besides doing the bare minimum, just the basics with no creativity whatsoever. It is bad considering that other customers (especially ones next to me) are complaining about the same things. I truly believe there has been a change of hands in ownership because I don't see the cheerful man as much anymore, even the workers appear robotic. The salon feels like a variation of money-grubbing schemes, false advertisements, and illusions of grandeur. It's a shame that this beautiful salon once had a sense and feel of a prestige upscale spa. Now it's this store-front of mediocre services just like any other second-rate nail salon. read more

update: I went in the next day to ask for a refund and to have them removed and the guy who was there basically told me no. Gave lots of attitude and made fun of me in the shop. I asked "are you laughing at me?" And he said yes and kept teasing. He said I know nothing about nails. Eventually I got up and walked to the door to leave and another lady (her name was shorty) came over and was about to communicate better and she explained that it was policy that I couldn't get a refund but that she would work with me and redo them to make sure I'm happy with the result. So she did and honestly I love the result. So, definitely overall not the best time but in the end they got it right. My advice would be to avoid that guy and ask for Shorty or Twin (I was advised that Twin does a good job too) I went there for my first acrylics, and while I was not all to familiar with having them myself, I did do a great deal of research beforehand on what to expect, what to ask for etc. the lady doing my nails barely tried to understand me. Simply grabbed my hand and did what she wanted. I let her know it was my first time and she ignored me. I said I had questions and she never stopped to work with me and communicate what she is doing and making sure everything is right. The result was awful. She barely built up any apex leaving the nails flat and they are severely sloping upwards leaving them prone to breaking off. The Color was not at all what i was hoping for, and I even had multiple photos and tried describing it multiples ways and times. After she put a coat on two nails I knew the color wasn't right and she refused to stop and adjust. After 3 coats the lady next to me had to ask her if we could change the color and the nail lady ignored me and said to the person beside me that no it can't be changed and proceeded on. Also, I had asked for a mostly square but *slight* coffin shape. A square with subtlety tapered sides. The result is severely tiled in, crooked and tilted, and she kept giving me so much attitude when I kindly asked for the one finger to be shorter. When I was paying I was next to tears because I hated the result so much and I had to pay full price for them. The owner guy said he would fix the color if I came back tomorrow but frankly at this point I don't trust them at all. I will be requesting a refund and removal so that I can save my healthy nails and find a place that actually knows how to do it right. read more

Unfortunately, I had problems from the very beginning. When I called for prices, I was quoted a different price than what I was charged for the pedicure. The manager insists that he told me the correct price, but I asked him for it on the phone twice and wrote it down, so I am sure that I heard him correctly. I was getting a gel manicure because I was to be away on a vacation for three weeks. I got to my destination OK, but then became ill and was sick in bed for the next week. I noticed about the third day that one of the nails had a bubble in it and two of the nails add the white of my finger nail showing at the edge of the manicure. By the fourth day, the polish had started coming off of four of my nails. I immediately contacted the salon. I gave the manager all of the information I have stated above. He asked me to call him. I explained that I could not call because I was on an island in a remote lake in Michigan and I had no signal. I explained that if he contacted me by text or email, I could reply. I heard nothing back. I contacted him two more times and heard nothing back. I made a special trip to the salon today to inquire about a remedy for my problem. The manager asked me many questions, all of which I had answered in my email and though I answered them for him again in person, he continued questioning me. I finally asked directly if he were going to refund the manicure or not. There was no response. When I said that I had refrained from leaving a poor review because I wanted to give him a chance to make things right, the refund was immediately forthcoming. The space is lovely and the staff were very friendly. My pedicure was fine. I had my eyebrows done and that was fine as well. My manicure, however, was completely unsatisfactory, as was the manager's lack of response to my inquiries until he felt that I would go public. read more

Having just moved here from out of state I was pleasantly surprised by this salon. Very spacious and inviting inside. The pedicure chairs are amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. Parking availability isn't great, so plan on spending a few minutes looking for a spot if it's during peak hours. read more

The salon and atmosphere was amazing and I really liked that a lot. That's the only reason for the two stars. But my bad experience was the fact because I didn't pick fake nails for my hands and gel for any of my nails that it seemed to not please the salon. I got the most limited selection of nail polish colors. I usually do a regular polish with my Pedi and Mani. With that attitude I tried to ignore it because the owner seemed super nice and they do a complimentary water, soda or wine. But I must have gotten the worst tech. She was very rough on my nails and hurt a lot. She filed then the way I hate and my polish all was bumpy and not smooth. Even though it dried for over 15 minutes. She also made me bled a few spots on my toes and hands. I also requested a specific spa pedicure and did not get it. Yet I had to pay for it when I only got a basic spa pedicure. So I would not return again. Maybe as a girl's day with a different tech but feet only I will but as of now I'll keep looking for a better salon and treatment. read more
