So I paid $80 for nails that have little girl purple on them (the color was much darker in the book), and that didn't even stay. It's Monday and I'll have to take my fingernail polish off. I've been to Lemoyne Nail a few times and have never had a problem before but this last time will be my last. I went in to get gel polish on my toes and a faded French manicure for my upcoming engagement shoot. There was only three employees there and two customers. Upon walking in I was asked (rudely) what I needed, no hi or hello just what do you want. I know when the owner Mary is there she's always pleasant and says hello to everyone who is walks through the door. I told the lady what I wanted and asked if it was doable she said yes and told me to have a seat. She started to file my nails and the gel polish off of them, she told me I would have to have the acrylic on my nails removed because the acrylic for what I'd like is a different color, I told her that was fine. She proceeded to grab the cuticle cutter and start ripping the acrylic off my nails if there was a nail she had issues with she would grab a plastic nail tip and jam it in between the acrylic and my real nail. I told her repeatedly that it hurt and if she could just be gentle, she said it was fine. Next thing I know she stabs me and cuts through my pinky nail till it's bleeding. I pull my hand back because obviously that's a big pain. All she had to say is sorry and sticks some blue stuff on it to make the bleeding stop. She finished pulling the old acrylic off and starts adding tips and new acrylic, she shows me the first nail and I let her know there's black spots all over it. She looks at it and then at the powder. There's black specs all in the white acrylic powder she asks if it's okay and I tell her not really, I don't want black specs on my nails. She rolls her eyes at me and removed the acrylic and starts over, this time there's orange specs and glitter. I ask her why specs keep showing up and she doesn't respond just says if I don't like I can go somewhere else. That's exactly what I will do; save your money and go somewhere with real customer service. read more

The only reason I'm giving it 2 star is because they were for the most part very nice and they stayed late to accommodate us. Now for the horrible part. I asked for coffin shape, my nails were SUPER square the lady knew I was not happy so she asked some one to help. He made them OK. But it's hard to come back from how horrible they looked. My pinky nail is extremely skinny compared to my other nails, also I just had them done yesterday and a few nails are already loose. Now to make it worse, my MIL went with me and had a horrible experience too. They can't shape nails. We asked for medium length-long nails and we both had to get them much shorter to salvage them. NOW the worst part.... we go to check out and they say "we will give you each a $10 discount for the problems" but our total was $95! For a basic pedicure, a full set that the shapes were incorrect, but let me break it down. Pedicure: $25 Gel on toes: $10 Full set: $25 Shape: $5 Gel: $10 If anyone can do math, our total is $75. BUT no. We were charged $5 extra for the pedicure, $5 extra for the full set, and $5 for gel because of the corona virus. Which not one person said to us when walking in the door. And then at $95, where's the extra $5 that was our total that we were supposedly getting $10 off from?! I will pay whatever it takes to have my nails looking good, but THIS PLACE IS NOT IT. Wish I could give this nail salon a 0/5. This is absolutely the worst nail salon you could imagine. Reusable buckets of nail brushes, utensils and pumice stones!! This is illegal and needs to be reported to the board. The nail files were also all reused. I was rushed in and out of the salon. Didn't even have time to pick out an OPI color. They wanted me to pick out a cheap, nail polish color instead. Please don't go here if you care about sanitation. This is absolutely disgusting. They also did my boyfriends nails and they look horrendous. Different lengths and look like a child cut his nails. TLDR; unsanitary conditions and stressful experience. Much better experience than last time. I wanted to wait a couple days before I posted another review. The tech I got this time was much more meticulous at filing down rough edges. However, they were out of the original color I wanted. I also asked for an almond shape, and did not get almond. Also, I felt I was kind of rushed. The polish job isn't very good. While the filing was nice; the polish is a little sloppy and there's some uncovered edges. Whenever I was "finished" my nails were also still tacky and seemed to stick to any fuzzies in the air. For $35 for a fill in (not a full set!!) I do think they should cover your entire nail with polish. But it's better than my last visit where I got a full set with crooked lumpy nails. I give them 3 stars because they were nice enough to accommodate me 30 minutes before closing (gel removal and then dip/gel on fingers and toes). My total ran up to $75 without any designs. I was a bit shocked by this; however, it was my first time getting dip, so I didn't know how to compare my price with the standard pricing in the area. Is this normal? I did still tip well because they accommodated me last minute. Although accommodating, I was not pleased with the final results. 3 different women took care of me in different stages. One went too low, so I had to pull my hand back during mail removal! Ouch! One used a dremel to cut down my cuticles, but she didn't take the time to push them back and clean it up with a handheld cuticle tool, so my cuticles looked a little chopped. She also sanded down the dip using a dremel after applying the dip, but hit too low so the coloring was uneven and had some bare spots. Update: The gel is now lifting on the perimeter because they painted over the edge and on my skin. It has only been 3 days and the top coat is already peeling off and making my nails uneven. For reference, I had long Apres gel nails for 3 weeks before any chipping/lifting/breaking occurred. For 90 including tip, I should've just bought my own kit and did them at home. read more

I recently relocated to Harrisburg and I started going to another nail salon in Linglestown since it was closer to where I live and they did a horrible job. I found Lemoyne Nail online and decided to give it a try since they have so many positive reviews. I'm not sure who did my nails, but she sat next to Mary and she was really good. I was in and out in less than an hour. I arrived around 3:30 on a Tuesday and right after me, about 5 people came in. It's a busy salon, which is a good thing! UPDATE 7/24/18--downgraded from 5 star to 3 star review: I still think this is a decent place to get nails done, but just not for me. I really like to get designs or artwork on my nails. I don't feel I pick out anything super outrageous. I have asked if they did nail art and they said they will do something simple like a flower. But on my last visit here I showed Mary what I wanted done (black nail with white lines...THAT'S IT) and was told "We don't have time. Maybe next time." WHAT??!! You don't have time for a paying customer??! I am happy to report that I went to another nail salon in the Harrisburg Mall that was more than happy to do any design I asked for. Bottom line: if you want your nails painted simple (one color, French tips)--this place is great. I visited here this past Sunday because I needed my nails done before a wedding. I was pleased with the work and the gentleman that did my nails did a great, fast job. My problem is the gel polish began chipping on day two. Now only 5 days later I need to go pay to have them redone because they have all chipped so bad. I love that they have different types of pedicures (Basic is $25, more if you want gel polish) but they have specialty pedicures that are around $45 (white chocolate is my favorite!) which include a scrub and mask with warm towels for your legs and feet. Also unlike many other nail shops I've been to before they don't add hidden fees. I feel where they really shine is customer service. The nail technician who did my manicure and pedicure didnt finish putting on the nail polish on all of my nails, so it's half done. Also the paint already started chipping and I would think paying so much would be worth staying for a week at least. The pedicure hurt, not sure if that is supposed to happen either since that hasn't been an issue for me for the other times I've gotten a pedicure.
