The place is very clean, well lit and nicely styled. However I did not care for the experience overall. I told the women who was going to do my pedicure which package I wanted and she insisted more than once on the more expensive one- I had to say "no thank you" a couple of times. Next she asked me about color, I told her I just wanted a clear polish, to which she then insisted several colors, I told her no thank you and she insisted again, finally, she agreed to do what I asked. Then the leg scrub- which felt like a baby bear was trying to devour my ankle and had just enough strength to cause a bunch of pain but not enough to break the skin. I did not complain or ask her to stop because it's been forever since I had a pedicure and I thought at first maybe it was suppose to be like that- and then I felt like I'd hurt her feelings if I told her. Probably not the best decision ever- I know. One of her friends other employees sat on the couch beside her with her phone up toward me the whole time, I don't know if she was on FaceTime or chatting on the phone but the two of them talked the whole time, with the phone there and I felt uncomfortable. I wouldn't have cared if it was just the two of them, but just having the phone up toward me- I went there to relax and didn't find it relaxing. The foot bath which is what I really enjoy, was cool warm? I remember the water being very warm / hot and relaxing at previous places I'd been. It felt sloshy and unpleasant to have cool / warm water in the foot bath. It was just unusual. Then when I went to dry my nails, she set me in front of the dryer and lit an incense on the altar they have. So I had to stay there while the very strong scent and smoke went up, right into my face. Again, not pleasant. Next I go to pay and when I ask to put the tip on the card they tell me they don't do that here. I told her I wasn't told that when I booked and it's not stated anywhere, she responded with a shrug and that it's the "the way they have always done it" but of course if it's your first time booking there, like it was mine- you'd have no idea. I told her that when someone books over the phone it would be helpful to tell them that so they can keep it in mind when they come in- more shrugs. She happily told me about the atm in the middle of the salon and that I could use that. I was annoyed. I paid the atm fee, generously tipped the woman who took care of me that day, and then went home and two of my actual nails fell off over the next two weeks. That has never happened to me before ever. I asked for a clear coat, and that's it's. No colored nail polish or extra stuff and two weeks later I lost two nails. I will not be returning- the entire experience was frustrating, painful and unusual. read more
