I told her I wanted a French tip. Her response was, "I don't have time to do that." I was completely caught off guard. I asked why, especially since a French tip would only add a few extra minutes. She told me I hadn't added it when booking. Since it was my first time at the salon, I genuinely didn't realize that was something I needed to select separately. I also don't remember seeing anything that made that clear when I booked. I politely asked if there was a reason she couldn't accommodate it, and she continued to tell me she didn't have time and that I should go somewhere else. Other women who were there getting their nails done even looked confused by the interaction. I ultimately left with half of my nails filed and in tears. When I checked out, I explained what happened to the front desk, and while they apologized, I was told there was nothing they could do. As a professional, I understand that appointments have time constraints and that certain services may need to be booked in advance. But the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. Luxe Salon didn't just lose my business--they lost the business of people I would have recommended them to as well. I apologised profusely, and rescheduled a few days later. I received a call saying they would not honour my new appointment until I paid the fee. After years and thousands of dollars of product and services, this is not the sign of a top quality shop. I do not mind paying the fee, but do not feel good about their approach. Not a classy place:)
