Even if customers don't understand the language, her tone and body language make it obvious that she's talking about them, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. In addition, the owner's phone etiquette could be much more professional. Good customer service goes beyond the quality of the nails--it also includes treating every customer with respect and making them feel welcome.

I have been coming to Kim's since 2004. I love their pedicures manicures and ask for gift certificates for birthdays and Xmas. I love Kim's OPI polish the pictures are a rose and Opi Dutch Tulips a creamy velvety bluefish red. I always get many compliments. Lee takes his time is a perfectionist. Two-three weeks later, I figure okay, that's enough. Nail polish remover doesn't work. ?? A friend said it's GEL. (It's what?) SHE tried to get it off, soaking and wrapping my nails for 15-20 minutes. No such luck. I eventually got most of it off but my nails were ruined. I got a simple gel manicure. The polish selection is great, but the application was not any better than my own. There is gel polish residue all around my cuticles and my nails are still tacky from the gel polish. In fact, as soon as I got home I had to apply alcohol to my nails to take the remaining residue off. I will say the manicurist did do a decent job "prepping" my nails to apply the polish, but the application of the actual polish was just terrible and unprofessional. Further, my cuticles appear to look more dry and terrible than they did before the manicure. As for the atmosphere of the salon, if you're looking for ambiance, this really isn't the place for you. If you're a clean freak and are looking for a place that exudes top notch cleanliness, then this definitely isn't the place for you either. Overall, I would not return. Maybe it was an off day for the person, but nevertheless unacceptable. I will say the gel manicure was reasonably priced at $25 (and I did leave a $5 tip); however, I would have rather paid more for a better quality manicure elsewhere.
