I love Kim's Nails. My nails are done by the gentleman Lee. I have the gloss nails and he does an excellent job. I always receive excelllent professional service. I have been coming to Kim's since 2004. I love their pedicures manicures and ask for gift certificates for birthdays and Xmas. I love Kim's OPI polish the pictures are a rose and Opi Dutch Tulips a creamy velvety bluefish red. I always get many compliments. Lee takes his time is a perfectionist. I went to get my nails done for a wedding on a whim two months ago. First, the man sitting in the front immediately barked at me the price. Okay.... I sit down, and let the manicurist know I hardly ever get my nails done and I'm inexperienced; she shows me colors, I pick a shiny silver/white one. They looked great! Two-three weeks later, I figure okay, that's enough. Nail polish remover doesn't work. ?? A friend said it's GEL. (It's what?) SHE tried to get it off, soaking and wrapping my nails for 15-20 minutes. No such luck. I eventually got most of it off but my nails were ruined. They still look like I've been working in a sewer system. Never again. read more

Worst pedicure. I had gel on my toes and instead of soaking off with acetone she used a dermal to sand off. I didn't notice till I left but now my toe nail surface is all uneven as she didn't smooth it out. To top it they wanted $21 more just to use gel on my nails verses regular polish. I also received what was supposed to be a manicure yet they never socked my nails in water nor cleaned under the nails so it was more a color change. read more

Usually I'm not really picky about the nail salons I go to as long as they do a decent job. I got right in which was nice no wait at all. However the polish is all over my feet clear coat and color. More than one toe is cracked. The massage wasn't really a massage, and the brush she used to scrub my legs was really rough and uncomfortable. I went here a few days ago to get a pedicure since my normal place went out of business. I walked in and was immediately asked what I wanted done. I said a gel mani and pedi. The tech told me "gel pedi $50". I said "ok, that's fine". She then said "you have money for mani?" I was so taken aback I told her I didn't want the manicure any longer. My experiences have been ok. I moved here from Boston and was trying out a few places. I would say the wait is usually 15 minutes for a walk-in on weekends, but the gel manicure is great. Wish they had more colors! The pedicure unfortunately was not great, and my toe nails were cut WAY too short, with a huge diagonal on one big toe that was very noticeable with red polish. Normally I would have been upset and chalked this up to a mistake, it happens, but I had mentioned my wedding was in 1 month so that was a really big disappointment for me. They offered wifi which was nice (just ask for the password). Overall, I would go back if I needed a quick gel manicure, or a regular manicure though I would bring my own colors since they don't have Essie (seriously?) but not for a pedicure again. read more

Very very upset leaving here. Have gone here pretty consistently for a while but they keep sending me to the man who IS HORRIBLE. He rushes through the job, and doesn't even polish your whole nail. Last time he practically ripped my nails off trying to remove the last gel, this time, he didn't even put a top coat on half of my hand... so I'm left with rough nails... as the service went on, I kept getting more upset and was practically in tears when I left, couldn't even say anything. Was pretty obviously staring at them like they were messed up but he took zero notice to it. I had just moved to the area and was in desperate need of a fill and pedicure. After reading reviews on Yelp, this place seemed to have the best reviews. I went on a Thursday afternoon and I didn't have an appointment. The pedicure was alright. Most of my toe nails weren't cut down any, the jagged edges were smoothed with a nail file. There wasn't much cuticle care or heel smoothing. Unfortunately I have to advise against the pedicure here since for what I got...you can do at home. The manicurist I had was a gentleman. I was a little apprehensive about having a man, since the male manicurists I've had in the past have been very rough. While the manicurist seemed very knowledgeable and had a steady hand, he did cut me and it was more than once. I also didn't have the edges of my nails glued so my natural nails underneath separated around the edges of the acrylic. It always makes me nervous when a manicurist has that Dremel type tool in their hands...doing my nails, and they look up every time the door opens. It happens here too. I've been to better places and I've been to worse. This place is just middle of the road. read more

I am very specific about what I like: short and round, which is opposite of the popular style. This is my favorite nail salon in the area, I think it's even better than the "high end" salon on high street. $29 for a pedicure. Techs take their time and do a great job. Pedicures from this salon have lasted me well over a month and still looked great! Everything seems clean, the massage chairs are comfortable, and they have decent ventilation so it doesn't smell overwhelmingly of nail polish in the space. The place is clean, probably the cleanest and one of the more "legit" nail salons in town. The staff is nice, if you're a regular, which I'm not (college student on a budget).. Also (I feel bad saying this) but if the older lady does your nails, they will be crooked and unevenly polished. When I asked to have them fixed you can tell they were getting frustrated with me - but my toes were clearly poorly painted. They should be a little nicer since it is like a $30 pedi, in a small little town. I'm from NY and higher quality places charge that and don't give me a hard time. If the other ladies do your nails they're good. It's usually a hit or miss for me. I still go there because they're clean. read more

Maybe I and my friends are regulars, but we love Kim and we love our pedicure ladies! We go approximately every 3 weeks in the summer and even when we fail to plan our trips, they always manage to fit the three of us in. Pedicures here are clean, well timed, friendly and fun! Recently I was on vacation in Delaware and unable to schedule my Kim's pedi before I left, so I took my daughter to a place while we were at the beach. It was really only then that I truly appreciated the service at Kim's. Contrary to my other pedi (which barely managed a half week), Kim's pedicure polishes last at a minimum two weeks without chipping. I am a "summer feet" walker and have callouses galore and they are always attended to as needed. I love the selection of colors (including my signature "neon hot" colors!) and just have not been disappointed in over 6 years. read more
