This is so sad because the people were great and the place is nice but the very next day my gel manicure chipped. I had my nails done 7 days ago and a lot of my polish has chipped away. I always get gel and Ive never had this issue. When I left there that day I was so happy. The shape was perfect, she gave me EXCATLY what I asked for and they looked so cute. I love this salon. They have manicures, pedicures, and waxing. They'll do traditional nail polish, gel or dipping powder. I usually get dipping powder on my nails and it's always picture perfect and beautiful. Attached are images of MOST the dipping powder colors but there are even more. They also do designs and I have a beautiful bow for a Christmas wedding. I also saw little gems that they can put on the nails. My dipping powder manicure costs $40. I've gotten gel pedicures and they were fantastic. Very relaxing and so pretty at the end! They are all very nice and super accommodating. I love going here with my best friend - we're always able to get appointments together. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area! read more

This place is terrible. The tools are dirty, the workers are rude, and I had to go get my nails redone after three days because 1-they started chipping already (gel nail polish over acrylics), 2-they already looked like they had grown out, and 3- the man who did my nails didn't clean up the nail beds or cuticles at all. He also used the nail grinder to carve out the shape of my nail bed instead of pushing them back and shaping them properly. When I went back to get it fixed, the owner refused. If you don't want to throw your money away, DON'T GO HERE. The fact that they have a permanent "20% off any service" should've been a clue that they sucked. read more

Terrible in so many ways!! I came here for mani and pedi because my regular spot was closed for the holidays. I won't be going back. He must've spent a total of 30 seconds scrubbing my feet for the pedicure. As for the mani, he literally filed my nails so hard that the nail file sliced my finger open! No apology. Just looked at me with this "oh sh!t" look on his face. There was no lotion or hand massage. And he couldn't have put a thinner coat of polish on if he tried. Not even 24 hours later my nails are already chipped. The only positive was that the massage for the pedicure was nice and long. However, he spent the whole time hitting on me (despite the fact that im 19 weeks pregnant and taken) so I wouldn't be surprised if I received some "special" treatment. read more

I was very impressed on my first visit. Went on a Tuesday with a friend who was going on vacation and wanted a manicure. We had to wait probably a half an hour - not a big deal for us. We were offered drinks while we waited. I did a spa manicure and the massage and scrub was worth a few extra dollars. The manicurist was nice to talk to. I've been here twice, once to get my eyebrows waxed and the other for a pedicure. I got the "spa pedicure" for $35 which I thought was a bargain. The first 35 minutes I received a scrub and lotion foot massage that felt amazing. Both times I felt as though I was genuinely being taken care of rather than just another customer to get in and out the door. They also give you a card that you get stamped for every time you spend a certain amount of money, and after so many stamps you get $5 off your next visit. read more

I am new to York and was looking for a place to get a pedicure for a party of 4. I made reservations at Unique for 4 pedicures at 3:00, but when we arrived only 2 chairs were open. Long story short, our reservation was not honored, we were not together, and we did not leave until 5:00 because the other 2 in our party were not seated until 4:00. Not sure why I made a reservation. As far as the pedicures, my feet are still very rough and there were a few moments of pain from all members of our party. At one point they ran out of hot towels, and I saw a staff member rinsing what I assumed were used towels in the sink and then heating them up. And I truly respect and enjoy different cultures, but the workers talking among themselves constantly in another language makes you feel like they are talking about you!
