I've been trying this place out for a few weeks now and the staff is very friendly; however, there is something wrong with my nails each time I go. I'm a cosmetologist so I know what clean equipment should look like, and their equipment has not been cleaned for a LONG time! They charge extra depending on the shape of your nail (whether it's rounded, oval, or pointed). They only do two layers of polish, causing the color to be blotchy and slightly see through. I figured I would try a dark color, but it seemed to be worse than the lighter ones. The last time I went, my left hand was longer than my right, and I had a few crooked nails. Each time, I paid $40 for something that looked like I did them myself. If I'm paying extra for oval nails, that are short, and only have one color, they better be solid color and straight. My daughter went to the salon for a mani pedi. over the last week. She returned home and started having significant pain in her two big toes. Each day it got more severe. I finally convinced her to seek medical treatment. She had an infection in both of her big toes. She was placed on antibiotics to treat the infection. She contacted the owners and asked only for the cost of her mani pedi in return. She did not ask for payment of her medical bills or prescription. The owner argued with her for nearly an hour, before refunding only the $60 for the mani pedi. The PA Department of Health will be contacted tomorrow with a complaint. I went there today for the first time. I get my nails done A LOT and have not found a salon I'm really impressed with. I decided to give them a try just because I was near by. And I must say I was very impressed! A man named Tony did my set, he was very polite, personable, and friendly- as well as the other staff. He did a wonderful job, he paid extremely close attention to detail and asked me questions I've never been asked before, such as the desired "thickness," of my nails. He constantly asked about the length and shape and if I was satisfied. I've never had a technician pay so much attention to my preferences. I wish I would have tipped him a lot better honestly. They also have the newest trends, such as holographic nails. The store was clean and had a great color selection. I will return to this salon and maybe I can make it my regular spot! I had an appointment at 4:15 and was made wait until after 5 as they were busy. They took other customers rather than keeping my appointment. I asked at the beginning of my mani/pedi of the price telling the tech exactly what I wanted. She gave me a price of $55. Then the nail tech got angry with me when I clarified once again what I wanted and she continued my manicure being very rough with my hands. She mess up one of the nails I asked it to be fix she ignore me. She also made my cuticles bleed several times. During my pedicure she cut my somewhat long nails down to the nail bed and some nail are choppy and crooked and the paint had chipped before I even let the chair. At the end she forgot to put on my top coats and I ask her to fix that and she once again got angry. The tech next to her was nice enough to apologize on her behalf. At the end I went to pay and I told them what she had said the price would be. The cashier called the tech over and she said something to him in a language I did not understand then they told me the price was $77 which was almost double what she had told me previously. I asked why and she came up with a bunch of prices that she had not said before and denied ever giving me the first price. They also charged my cousin extra because her nails where "longer" but they were not much longer than mine. If you want a good quality manicure with friendly staff I would not recommend coming here. Find a better more skilled salon because you'll be paying the same high prices for much better work than Nail Envy can provide. Very disappointed. I am embarrassed of how my toe nails look and very upset with the way my nails turned out. read more

I have gone here once before with relatively no issues, but after my visit last night I'll be finding a new salon. I was a walk in with 3 other people and was told we'd have to wait a half hour. Totally fine! We didn't make an appointment as we didn't know what time we would be arriving, but waiting was fine by us. It was about 20 minutes until the first one of us was taken, and her gel manicure took over an hour and a half. In that hour and a half the other 3 of us waited as they took people ahead of us. Someone who came in an hour after us for a mani pedi got their pedicure done first and then got to go right into their manicure when we were still waiting. How does that work? I would have rather they said they didn't have time for that many manicures when they knew they'd have appointments consistently coming in. They told someone who came in with an appointment they'd have to wait a half hour. We couldn't even leave because our friend was still getting her nails done. They are very very slow here. After our friend was done we said we were leaving and politely told them it was a little ridiculous we were waiting a full 2 hours and then they upcharged us ! It was $45 for the gel manicure when it had been $35 before, if anything the price should have been discounted for them ignoring us and giving us a very inaccurate quote time to wait. Just ridiculous. Slow workers, only okay-ish quality, and poor customer service. Find somewhere else unless you want to waste your time! read more

Worst service ever. Prices changed every time I visited but I was still nice enough to give them the benefit of the doubt. But never going there again after the last time- lady was so careless that she got wax all over my hair and didn't even apologize for it. Found it when I got home. Really unprofessional. I called on 5/2 for an appointment on 5/3 at 11:30 for a manicure. I arrived at 11:15am and was told it would be about 15 minutes until I would be seen. Still 30 minutes later, I am waiting and ask how much longer to which I am replied with, "just wait your turn!" which I found extremely rude. Finally at 12:05pm for a 11:30am appointment I am seen. Not only was the service late by over 30 minutes, but they rushed it. The job was bad, the design was not accurate to what I had asked and showed to the girl.
