I ordered some wings and our waiter talked me into a basket of onion rings. Everything about these wings was perfect. They were crispy, sauced perfectly, and super juicy when you bit into them. I got the medium buffalo and hot garlic. Both sauces were good, but the hot garlic wasn't spicy at all for me. The onion rings were fantastic too. They're massive and the breading has almost a tempura type quality to it, somewhat light but still great crunch. For all my ranch people out there, the ranch is pretty good here too and they weren't stingy with it either. Our server was great and took great care of us. They have a good amount of TVs so it's definitely an option to watch a game at. They also feature lunch and happy hour specials which peaked our interest.

The queso was great with just enough kick but the chips were cold and seemed stale. Which isn't a surprise with the crazy humidity lately but it's something that ought to be checked and addressed when needed. The Taproom burger was tasty and made with very fresh ingredients. The pretzel roll and all the toppings made the burger a challenge to get a bite, messy in a good way. The bistro burger was great and I had half of my partner's for lunch the next day. It was great as a leftover. I ordered my fries crispy, but the kitchen didn't get the memo, again. The booth was very comfortable and the room was delightfully cool but not cold. It was quiet enough for conversation but not so quiet that you're afraid to break the silence. Tips: Check their app - "hops for pops" scored a free draft pint on fathers day. They were on special so the bestie and I had 3 each and we were cruisin'! We shared some wings, fried pickles and fries; all the stuff I haven't had in months! Now lemme tell you, I'm a Cali native and we don't have any specials like that so I was thoroughly impressed. Fast forward to my last day there the bestie said, "where do you wanna go for breakfast before you get on the plane?" You guessed it, right back to Southern Still. This time I got everything I wanted! Grits, eggs, toast, salmon croquettes and fried bologna. OH! EM! GEE!!! When I tell you I ate everything on my plate! I almost licked it! I had them blackberry drinks again too. Here's what I truly enjoyed - 4 football games playing and I could see all the TVs from my seat. Second - the service. Yes, the wait was a little longer than usual, but the sweet lady working let us know she was holding it down solo, and honestly, we weren't in a rush. Unfortunately, my most recent visit completely changed my opinion. The service we received was unacceptable. Our server, a white man with numerous tattoos, was rude and disrespectful to everyone at our table throughout the evening. More concerning, I experienced comments and behavior that I perceived as racist and homophobic, and another employee appeared to encourage or support that conduct instead of addressing it. My guests and I felt humiliated and extremely uncomfortable. As someone who has been a loyal customer for a long time and has spent a significant amount of money supporting this business, I was shocked that this was our experience. I invited friends and family expecting a great evening, and instead we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. If this type of behavior reflects what the restaurant is willing to tolerate, that is deeply disappointing. I hope management takes this complaint seriously, investigates what occurred, and ensures that no customer is made to feel this way in the future. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment, particularly to people who may be concerned about being treated unfairly because of their race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I also intend to share my experience on social media so others are aware of what happened during our visit.

The restaurant looked really nice. I loved the decor and the layout. We got in, and got seated right away. You can pretty much see the open kitchen environment even from our table. We started off with the baked oysters. It was pretty good. Their corn muffins were so yummy. It was soft and moist. A really good sweetness to it, but not overwhelming. It was made perfectly. I also tried the wild alaskan salmon. I requested mine well done because I just like my food that way and I just don't prefer soggy fish. I thought it was cooked perfectly for me. The presentation was really nice and the flavor was perfect for me. I don't have any complaints about this dish at all. I also tried the duck breast. I requested this well done as well. It was cooked perfectly and I thought it was seasoned perfectly too. The presentation was really nice for this one too. I really liked everything on this place. The potatoes, green beans, and cherries all went together very well. In all, I had a really great experience and loved it! Will definitely be back!
