Chicken Tenders
Jeff D.

If you are looking for wings and cold beer check this place out. Staff were friendly and helpful when ordering. We started off with the Fried Pickles, very good the batter was light and tasty. It came with ranch and mustard to dip it. For an entree, I got the 10 chicken tenders, 5 tossed in Mango Habanero, very good and the other 5 in Honey BBQ to calm the taste buds. Then added a basket of tots. Great place to watch sports, several TV's around the bar. Cheers!

Went here w my husband and daughter. Food was ok. I got the catfish and huge onion rings. Yes, a lot of fried food. But, the thick batter did not help. It's was too much! Will not be ordering both those again, at least not as a combination. The fish was fresh tasting, but one piece was very scrawny. So, I sent it back to the kitchen. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. Can't say the same about the mngr. She never came to the table to apologize or make sure things were to my satisfaction. Although, that piece was replaced with a much meatier one. The tartar sauce served with it was ok too, nothing to write home to mama about. My daughter got the Cajun chicken salad, minus all ingredients except lettuce, cheese, and chicken. Geez, paying almost $14 for something we could easily have fixed her at home for a 1/4 the price, makes me a bit aggravated w her. But, I wasn't going to argue w her in public. She liked the strips of chicken. She also ordered a Shirley Temple. It was great! My husband ordered the Rueben. The bread was kind of soft (he likes it toasted,) it didn't have enough sourkraut, and the Thousand Island dressing wasn't that good. To be honest, I don't think the 3 of us will ever order the same thing again. Not sure if we'll ever return, but we'll definitely get something different if we do. I was hungry for the oysters, what they are known for, and they were out of them! Boo hoo! Our dining experience was pretty poor. Oh, I might add, I did go to this place yrs ago when they served frog legs. They were so good, I would've ordered them again today. But, they've taken them off the menu. More boo hoo!! To add, I did change my review from a 2 star to 3 star bc they gave a small portion of complimentary fried pickles to my daughter for being a first time customer. I think this is a very nice gesture! Sorry, no pics of our food. We were starved, so we dug into it too fast! Pics of menus (taken from Toot's website)

I love Toot's, and I can now say I've been to three of the four restaurants! This location is so much different than any of the others. It is complete with western theming from floor to ceiling. Sitting at a booth in Toot's West feels like sitting in a gold town from an old western movie. The dining room has large garage-door windows, allowing for a patio feel on pretty summer days. This location even has a game room tucked away for the kids and kids at heart. As always, I love the chicken finger basket with curly fries! That's my go-to when at a Toot's and the food tasted just as good at this location. Service was great, the food was fast, and the inside of the restaurant is clean. This was definitely the cleanest and most modern of all the Toot's I'd visited, but it is also the newest. We will be back!

Steak melts- meat was tough and fries were cold

Cool place for a quick stop to stretch your legs and sit back and relax. The food is mediocre and the fried items were over fried. So that was a disappointing. Also, they had an old happy hour sign up so the drink I ordered ended up being double the price. Lots of young kids both dining and working. Would I return? Probably not unless it was true happy hour, but I am not a huge fan of bar food. The billboards along the highway make it seem like this is a wonderful seafood place. Definitely not the case. Service was okay.

Fried pickles

Fried pickles were great. I had catfish & my husband had Mexican burger. The onion rings were really good on mine. Being a Texan I'm a not sweet hush puppy girl. & for the same reason the chili on my husband's burger had bean. But all in all food was great. Not too loud.

Toot's is a fun place to eat with a varied menu. The fried pickles just disappeared almost as soon as they put the basket down. The chicken tenders were seasoned great and they put the tenders in a sauce of your choice. The new potatoes with sour cream were hot and delicious. The curly fries are excellent and the service was fantastic.

Buffalo chicken sandwich and hugh ass onion rings.

Added some bacon and Provolone to my Buffalo chicken sandwich and perfection. After studying the sandwiches angles determined best way to pick up and devour. Yes, onions were located in my rings but couldn't finish thanks to limited time mini corn dog appetizer.

Need I say more about this yum yum sauce?!?! Most importantly, service exceeded my expectations. Don't try to play the piano when you enter. But I harken back to the days of when Toots started, when the Demos were a part. Consistency is key to restaurants. You WILL get that here!

This was my first visit and undoubtedly my last. The menu had nothing to offer me but fried food options and mediocre drinks. My waitress was kind, but my table was dirty/sticky, and the food was extra greasy. Overall, not my cup of tea.

There is always a long wait, which means it's busy. Food is ok, don't get the French Dip, it comes on a glorified Hot Dog Bun.

For starters, the location is down an alley way, hidden off the main area of the Square in the Boro. To get to the speakeasy, you have to find the door, use the phone, and answer a riddle to speak the 'password' to get in. Neat concept and adds to the fun of the overall experience. The cons: - A cover charge - and a healthy one, at that. - Every cocktail, small plate/appetizer, dish, dessert, etc. is on the very high end of price points, and that's even for a Nashville spot - not even considering this as a niche location in the burbs. - For the prices, exceptionally small portions/servings of the food options. We left paying over $150 for our evening and both my wife and I were still hungry... The pros: - Service was fantastic. Extremely friendly from the owner to the bartenders to the servers. No complaints there at all. - My wife took me for my 40th birthday, and they helped significantly make it a special celebration while we were there. A special dessert with "4-0" candles, a rousing musician-led, crowd-involved rendition of "happy birthday" was sung in my honor, and overall just a very enjoyable experience. - Atmosphere was fun and inviting without being too much/stuffy. - The interior of the speakeasy is opulent, small, and cozy, featuring enough room for probably no more than 20-25 people total. - The drinks were very, very good. Overpriced, sure - but at least they were well made and tasty. - The food was absolutely fantastic. Great flavors and seemingly fresh, quality ingredients - well prepared. Overall, a very neat, fun, well thought out experience and something to say we've done - BUT unfortunately with the cover charge, pricing of the individual drinks, food items, etc., it prices us out of frequent enjoyment. We would go with a small group for kicks, but will likely not return otherwise, which is a shame.

It's behind Mellow Mushroom. You go down a hall and when it ends, pizza place to right and there is a door to the left. Look back in hallway and there is an electrical box. The bartenders there are talented mixologists. Dave was so nice and helpful. He taught me a Pina Colada is supposed to be on the rocks. It was fabulous! I also had 2 of the holiday drinks that were delicious. By far the best place to go for great cocktails. They also have a small and reasonably priced snack/bar food menu. Just an experience. Visited U&I Restaurant and Bar and had the pleasure of meeting the charming Heidi (one of the…read morefamily owners) who took exceptional care of me. Even though she was the only serving staff for the evening, she was always smiling and a joy to talk with. This place has a diverse menu, there is no "cooking at your table" available at some Korean places. I started with the Shumai (steamed dumplings) and ordered the La Galbi along with a Kirin Ichiban beer. These dumplings are an amazing surprise...normally expect shrimp dumplings to be overpowering with the taste of shrimp, but not these. The seafood flavors were light, allowing you to taste shrimp and the other ingredients in the dumpling while a little "dip" into the sweet soy sauce made for an awesome appetizer. The La Galbi...marinated and grilled Korean BBQ beef short ribs were so good, you could taste the sweetness of the marinade, and the meat was so tender. There were several slabs of the short rib and along with the sides was a huge meal. You also get a few different sides like Kimchi (light heat), pickled Daikon radishes (slightly sweet and crunchy), Gamja-salad (slightly sweet Korean mashed potatoes salad), and Korean fish cake (kind of bland for me).  While not a "patio" they do have a dining area that when the shutters are opened, gives it a patio feel...overall the place is nicely decorated and comfortable. The food here is done really well and the service was great; I will be back again to try some of their other dishes like the Jjajjang-Myun and Bibimba.

I have debated whether to write this review. Based on other reviews, I suspect we visited on an…read moreevening where something really bad had happened. However, I think it is important to share our experience. I made a reservation for my family of four to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had heard great things about the restaurant, and we are always on the lookout for new places to try. We arrived on time, and were immediately seated. The person that seated us commented, "I have a very nice table for you." Water was provided for the table right away. And then, nothing. We were not given menus. It was several minutes before we even saw any server at any other table. As we looked around the room, we could see there were other patrons who were also being neglected. A couple sitting at one table nearby had menus, but no one took their order. After about 15 minutes, a young man came by the table and asked if we were waiting for our orders. We told him we had not even been given menus yet. He said, "Oh, I'm so sorry! I will get you some menus." He left, but never returned. Finally, my daughter, who is a server at another restaurant in Murfreesboro, went to the front desk and asked for menus. She was provided menus and told the restaurant had several employees "call out" for the evening. We looked over the menus and discussed ordering some appetizers, but no one ever came to take our order. The couple I mentioned earlier finally decided to leave without ordering. As they made their way to the door, an employee apologized to them and told them if they would stay, they would take their order. Meanwhile, at the table behind us, food was delivered. One of the patrons at the table remarked that the dish they ordered was supposed to have chicken, but there was no chicken in the dish. The server apologized and said -- I'm not kidding -- "I can go to the kitchen and get some chicken, and you can add it to the dish." At this point, we decided to leave. As we made our way to the door, the person that seated us noticed and asked if we were leaving. We told her we were, and left. I normally would not leave a negative review based on a single visit, but this experience was possibly the worst I have ever had anywhere. I hope this is an isolated incident that occurred when the restaurant was experiencing an extraordinarily bad night. I would like to give U&I another chance at some point. If I do and the experience is better, I will update this review.
